If a gambler is winning most likely he may keep winning and even if he has lost control and start betting higher then it is to his advantage because he keeps making money.

So someone who is winning his bet is likely not to change his system indicative of being in control but a losing person continuously changes system, indicative of losing control.
The reality there's nothing like that, when a gambler is winning, he will lose since the more you gamble the more probability you will lose. Either the winner or loser is gamble with self control, the result will not change.

Every gamblers are used to face losses, but not every gamblers can comeback and beat their own feelings/emotions.

I have heard of lucky day in gambling. This especially happens when you are in offline gambling place and some gamblers kept winning and they believe that is happening probably because it is there lucky day. I have quite heard of lucky day in gambling so that is the point I was making that a gambler could continue gambling but would run away if that turns out the other way. I won't have big winning and at the end of the day I allow myself to lose it all and that is being in control of yourself.

For such subjects as this, my opinion will always remain the same, and that is that, gambling is an activity which anyone can participate in if they so wish, it is actually important for us to understand that, we all do not behave or react to situations the same way, it is commonly said that as our faces are different, so is our desires and wants.

The way I react to winning a big amount of money from gambling may not be exactly the same way another person will react, and so it is with losing a big amount of money as well.

For some people, winning a big amount of money may be the reason they continue to gamble even harder than before, because they believe that they can win even more, while for some others, winning a big amount of money may be the end of them ever gambling again, because they wouldn't want to lose a dime from that which they have won.

And it is also this same way to losers in gambling, some gamblers will lose a huge amount of money and decide to leave gambling forever, while some other people will lose a huge amount of money, and continue to gamble even harder in hopes of atleast, winning back that which they lost.

So, in conclusion, this completely depends on the gamblers attitude or believe of gambling.

You own the pen
That's the nature of gamblers and there is no one from whom they can take advice because greediness already took their heart. This is the result of wanting to have huge amounts of money fast and spending most of their time in the Casino. That's why you really need to know where to go or who to accompany because there's no doubt that they will eventually lead you to the place where they always hang out. In that case, if you are poor and don't have money better not to befriend someone who is addicted to gambling rather look for somebody else who can benefit you a lot when spending time with them.

I was playing uncontrollably just because my gambling buddy got a big win, while I didn't get it. At that time I played together with my friend through the same site, the same bet amount and the same game, it was just that our luck was different. The victory that my gambling friend got, this made me even more ambitious to continue the game, and continue to make deposits, even though my gambling friend had decided to stop for a moment and enjoy the victory. And my stupid thing, I borrowed money from my friend, so that I could make a deposit to continue the game to be able to get a bigger win, than what my gambling friend got.

And as a result, even though I continued to extend my playing time, I still could not get the victory. And in the end I resigned myself, and considered that gambling was not something that could be expected. But even though I didn't get a win, but there was something I got and that was the most valuable thing, because departing from that incident also made me a slicker player again by playing naturally.

Smart is not enough, there must be skills
Those who want to chase defeat then it will lose more without us realizing by continuing to deposit a lot of money that is worse because uncontrolled they have no responsibility when they have lost at the beginning, but this is the addiction is still very difficult for those who have habits like this.

Lust, emotional so that's what must be kept sometimes we ourselves are difficult to hold it, I know how when you have deposited but the money has run out, while you want to be long in the game then nothing else we do is have to be disciplined because if you pursue defeat for recovery will feel very difficult.

Winning or losing are two events that can make gambler lose control when gambling.
But it is bigger and it often happens that gambler loses control if they experience loss like you said, they lose certain amount of money and their emotional feelings increase so they cannot accept the loss until they try to recover it.
In conditions like this, gambler forgets the risk of forgetting limits and they are not aware that emotions have controlled them to continue fighting for victory in order to get back the amount of money they have lost.

There are quite lot of cases like this that have happened and been experienced by gamblers everywhere, in fact most of them even worse, have actually experienced financial ruin and all the wealth they had was lost in gambling.
It is very sad to hear that gambler has experienced ruin or bankruptcy just because of gambling, but all of this has consequences from the risks of gambling and they have to accept it.
Wonderful, you have a point, however, the winning and the losing time can control a gambler as you said and still, the most active time that controls the mindset if a gambler is when he or she is losing in gamble.
At the time of lose an addicted gambler or a new time gamblers will want to win, the gambler will be so dem desperate of winning. Although during the time of winning a lot of gamblers still continue gambling, but that is not a good idea, because as long as you have double you money then the best option is just to stop the gamble.

It is easy to lose while gambling but it is hard to win, I don't really know why it is so but that is what really happened, it might be because we put in mind all the time we gambled that we will win big or I don't know.
In my little gamble experience, I have observed that the most times I win is when I don't put in mind to win a dime, so sometimes I do try my best to stop thinking about money or winning when I want to gamble.

Gambler loses control because of various things that may not be in the game itself, like mental health, or circumstances when they play.
Chasing losses or earning money from gambling never triggers me to lose my self-control since I pretty much only see gambling as a game. As Gattuso said, "Sometimes maybe good, sometimes maybe shit." So the moment they play gambling not for fun, but want to get rich, they will likely have that problem.

For me, I sometimes deposit more if I get rekt too quickly... For example, when I deposit $100 usually lasts forever, but sometimes it will only last one hour, if I'm not yet satisfied, then I probably will deposit more.

However, self-control can be exercised if someone has the strong feeling for it. everyone is agree if emotions are a difficult enemy to fight for ourselves. When we try to follow our emotions, we will continue playing until our money runs out for the day. Meanwhile, when we try to control ourselves, our emotions remind us of defeat and lead us to the desire to "play again for a while." This one opportunity can make emotions more bad when the person experiences another loss.

There is an opinion that the greatest dependence on gambling is formed at the moment of a big win. The player understands that money can be earned LIKE THIS. This is a fairly common opinion.

But I believe that the greatest dependence on gambling appears at the moment of loss, when the player admits in his head the idea that he could earn so much. He is disappointed, but wants to recoup. It is at this moment that the desire comes to play again and again in order to return to the previous state.

What do you think about it?

I think there are different circumstances when a person become dependent on gambling.  I believe it is not only through winning and losing but also due to the state of the person's emotion.  Like during the time of stress and depression, people who find gambling as means of diverting their attention from their problem is another major reason why people get hooked in gambling and at the end become addicted to it.

There are certain studies and many articles and stories of people who become addicted of gambling because of running away from personal problem.  According to this article[1]  here are the triggers of gambling addiction:

Quote
Many people who develop a gambling addiction are considered responsible and dependable people, but some factors can lead to a change in behavior.

These could include:

retirement
traumatic circumstances
job-related stress
emotional upheaval, such as depression or anxiety
loneliness
the presence of other addictions
environmental factors, such as friends or available opportunities

Both factors affect gamblers.

Loses is the worst of it IMO. If a gambler is winning most likely he may keep winning and even if he has lost control and start betting higher then it is to his advantage because he keeps making money. Moreover if he later start to lose, he is likely to run off with the remaining profit with him, at this stage he has the control to guide himself but not when he is losing. Losing in gambling makes you take even more wrong decisions because you want to either try other pattern to see if you will be lucky which is significant of the confirmation that you have lost control.

So someone who is winning his bet is likely not to change his system indicative of being in control but a losing person continuously changes system, indicative of losing control.

Both factors affect gamblers. Because winning makes some players feel in control of the game and staying in control is always interesting. Hence, they won't stop easily, even when the wins stop flowing. At the moment of losses, since they've been winning, they'll think of being lucky and that more wins would follow. Until nothing else is left to play. They've never been a time when a gambler kept winning without losing. So, the player will definitely face the both factors in one day. While gambling. Therefore, no need of picking the side that actually makes a player to lose control. Win or lose wash each other's hands in gambling. They appear accordingly, unplanned and unexpected. Their duty is to destabilize the player in ways they can't comprehend. Unless in card games where the winner is expected to continue playing, the right thing to do after winning is to play a little more, then stop. No player has ever gained profits out of losing control in gambling. He would embrace void decisions, because his emotion is not stabilized. That's why players should deposit little amount of money, such that even though they've lost control. The lack of money in their balance would help them get back to their control. And, they'll have nothing to lose or regret on the long run.

I tend to agree more with your first paragraph because if you take a survey among gamblers, you will realise that many people got lured into gambler by winning they had or that of others. People follow results that is why you can easily convince a person to join gambling with evidence of your winning than stories of losses. It is actually stories of loses that discourages people from gambling.  I don't know how gambling is designed but many people easily win in their early days in gambling and that is how they got stocked in it.

When the first time I tasted the online casino and won I remembered that even though my winnings were not huge it made me think that I could earn that much money in just a short period rather than working 8 hours if I was at the office. If I continued to play and win I would have a lot of free time for my family as I could win it in just 2 hours. With this kind of mindset, you'll start to lose control because if you can't win that specific amount you'll then play more until you reach it and it's worse that you'll lose huge.

It depends on the gambler...

Some loses control right after they see their friend cashing out big amount of money, they lose their sense of responsibility and they want to try the method of their friend, they forget instantly how it's very important to abide by your own limits and gambling strategy.

Some losses control after they lost just like you said, it's because they aren't prepared to lose that money, such people don't understand the word gambling, they are new and decide to gamble just because they believe it's that easy, so they start chasing their losses hoping to recover it back at least.

Some losses control after they win, this is very common to few numbers of people that I know, they get very happy and they build full confidence in gambling, thinking that everyday will be the same, it's even possible that they will get reckless with gambling after the win, some set goal and limit amount they can afford to lose but wait till they win a round, they will start increasing the amount, they will do the calculation in their head that if they have risked a higher amount in the first place they would have made bigger money.

Loss of control occurs due to losing a lot of money. He tried to continue making deposits and continue playing so that his losses could be returned. Usually those who chase losses are people who have already had a big win, they keep playing and try to get it back.

I think all gamblers have experienced this, they get angry, emotional and lose control. Usually they will realize when the money they have is gone and they can only regret their actions. But unfortunately, even though we have experienced something like this, sometimes we repeat it once or twice. Controlling emotions is difficult

OP a bit too wordy so let's keep the arguments simple.
- gambling addiction could come from the thought that it's easy money so you keep coming back
- gambling addiction could come from chasing losses

It could be a mix of both. Some people just cannot stop because they just love the thrill that gambling gives so they continue to play regardless if they are winning or losing.

I'll say both and this is because we have different type of individuals who are gamblers and they have different ways of thinking therefore we can't use one way of thinking to judge everybody and come to a conclusion. Some gamblers gets their biggest dependence moment in gambling when they win big as they want to continue gambling so they can win more while other individual gets theirs when they lose as they keep playing with the hope that they'll win one of their next games.

Neither way of thinking is good because both habits can lead to big losses that can make any gambler to lose more. As gamblers we shouldn't be greedy and we shouldn't practice revenge gambling. Picking one I'll say we have more gamblers that believe they can win after losing then those that keep playing after they win. Individually I'll be smart and take a break when I win or lose therefore I'm not dependent on continue gambling.

oh yeah, it easier for a gambler to quit for the day after a big win to when he's losing in his game. The tendency to chase the losses is triggered by the idea of recovery back to previous financial state, and in that condition anxiety steps in affecting your gambling decisions leading to blunders that originates extra losses.

Losing can be very painful and disappointing equally when you claim to play for fun too, it is natural in human as an innate nature to disgust losing, and when we care too more about our losses we are moved to beat the loss and the chances are that we tend to lose more in such circumstance than we do recover. At that stage admittance by accepting the day as your losing day is the better option instead of chasing the losses.

I agree. Both ways actually. It will depend on the gambler. If the person is greedy then he goes back and forth even though he already received a multi-win.
Chasing losses though might be a big factor for those who are addicted to gambling. Simply because most gamblers lose more and there's only a little window for one to win.
Many of us are in the same boat, we just want that money back that was taken from us. This kind of perspective could lead to more losses which means a gambler will not stop unless he gets that one jackpot that would bring him back to whatever the amount that was taken from him.
It's easier to remember the losses than the winnings. We don't even need that spreadsheet to calculate all because it's all in our brain and it's one of the reasons why a gambler cannot just stop. Revenge.
