I planned to buy some altcoins now that we are in a bear market but someone I knew is telling me not to, that its possible more dumps will take place, my question is how will I know when it's the right time to buy coins?
If the price of Bitcoin plunged, its likely altcoins will follow and thats the time to take advantage the dip. However, even you buy at lower price of the alts you chose, there's no guarantee that the price wont move downward further because we really cant predict the next movement, thus you must be prepared for it. Anyway if you're going to invest in altcoins its best to choose the coins that are already established, or those who are in top 10 of CMC. Dont forget also to include Bitcoin in your portfolio because its the most reliable crypto coin.

I'm expecting a pump, could go as high as $38k but ultimately we will come back down (even lower than where we are). Good time to buy btc will likely be mid to late next year. Just my opinion of course.

are you buying for Holding? then why listen to your stupid Someone you knew? the market is volatile so things may change in an instance , you should buy now so at least if there is another dump at least you are already in positioning for your funding .don't hesitate to buy when the market is acting like this because there is only 2 scenario that you can achieve here , either to see Bullying again? or another dumping for short period of time.

I mean Luna dropped to 50 cents to 2 dollar levels yesterday and there were so many that bought there. Luna team took advantage of that and took all of their money to save themselves, I hope at least that was a lesson for the investors.

When market crashed and every coin down far from ATH and you fell that no one have enough money to buy now then it's right time to buy some low market cap coins . Recovery from this point is very fast. If some one buy Gmt at 0 95, Dot below 8$, Etherium below 18k then its a 50% profit in just 24 hours.

You do not, you don't know when it is the "right time", because if we ever did, then we would wait for it, buy it with all our money, sell it when it is the peak, and keep repeating that and we would be able to rival Elon Musk in a few years. The reason we do not do this is the simple fact that market is unexpected and we never know.
