I don't think you fully understand how small bitcoin is now, and how big it can be.
For now, I don't see the five digit price in US $ happening before the halving in 2021. Not enough development to push for mass adoption, which is needed if we want to talk about such a price. Unless something really fundamental, happens I don't see that coming in the next five years at least.
1200 was a big if in 2010-2011 but it happened, simply because the odds were pro increasing
bitcoin as more chance to grow than to fall, you need only to know this

I think this is not going to happen soon.Although I am very optimistic that btc price will go that high but in my opinion it will touch 10000$ in next five years.bitcoin investor Tim Draper has made some interesting predictions back in 2014 and according to him btc will be 10,0004 in 2017 http://www.newsbtc.com/2014/09/24/tim-draper-predicts-10000-bitcoin-three-years/ 
According to some speculators price spike of bitcoin is approaching with the halving. Take a look at this graph and comment if that price of $21k is realistic for you?

People have some high dreams now a days I think it will take more than 20 year that to happen.

20 years im not sure its possible it takes that long. How long do we need for bitcoin to be the complete product, about 5-10 years max? I think $10k in next 2 years myself.
It will be nice to see this year just to see it and it can drop to 500 dollars again that would be okay for me.

I dont actually think 10,000 is realistic anymore. Sure we might get to like $600 or so but the amount of people that would have to buy into bitcoin to reach 10k is impossible. Too many people are put off because bitcoin is confusing to begin with, people wonder why yoiu would want bitcoin when we have paypal and fiat etc. Last person i spoke to about it said its all absolute rubbish, wouldnt take me on at all.
right now $10,000 might not look very realistic, but once we go through the $1000 and $2000 and $3000 the comming years, then things will look completely different. have some patience and keep holding.

Bitcoin price will hit $10k in 2024 
If the price rises 45% a year, then it will rise 41 times in 10 years, or the price will be $16,000 in 10 years. So I think it will take 8-12 years to be $10,000.
If it hits $10k in 10 years, I will be very happy.
