I hope for ICOs to get more controlled, with this, I mean that the number of scams gets reduced somehow, I think the ICO system as a whole should prevail because overall is a good and cheap way of promoting your projects on social media.

I dont think so. I think next year will be the last year of ICO. Look at the market situation, sometimes strongest teams with wonderfull projects didnt reach even softcapIf the project does not collect hardcap, then this is probably a bad project. All projects in which I participated this year, collected all the required funds. The fact is that market participants have become more selective in projects and do not go to give their money to everyone in a row. I am more than sure that ICO will not die. Yes, most likely the form of its conduct will be changed and we will not see such crazy profits, but ICO will live.
Why should the ICO die, if it is a convenient way to collect initial investments for the development of the project? Yes, there are a lot of scam projects, but there is a lots of good projects which needs money.
I think that nothing will change in the next few years. They will leave when regulation of different countries comes.

When everyone is not convinced of it, and there are new ways to raise funds, it will be abandoned by people. But funding will continue, and many projects still need to get initial capital through the participation of the general public.
I think their are some Smart contracts that offer good services that developer should raise funds of their project and it should be legalize before its goes public sale offering. Though some ICO in Ethereum Network are tends to become fishy( scam) or can't even reach the soft cap.

If people stop investing then ICO will die. But I do not think that people will stop investing but at the present time many of ICO are scam. So make a research about the project before investing any ICO.
ICO will die only when it become too expensive to make it with Ether. Most ICOs use the Ether platform and it has led to an overloaded network and an increase in Ether price, which has led to an increase in ICO costs.

Actually I don’t even know when will ICOs die but i think if they are not in demand business in this industry and no one can trust them then there’s a possibility that they will die with no exact date.

My point is that ICO will never disappear. If the ICO disappears, then the entire cryptocurrency will begin to decline. ICO is very important for cryptocurrencies, although there are many fraudulent ICOs.
