I think ICOs will never die, because This is one way to raise funds from people, especially investors.

When many ico projects are scam and fail. at that time crypto enthusiasts will experience a decline and the ico project will die
I think that there will always be people willing to invest in ICO. ICO can die if there are no investors, or there will be a more effective replacement for raising funds.
Investing in ico will not perish, just people will invest less, and projects will collect less investment.

I think you are referring to ICOs in general, but I strongly believe that ICOs will die when cryptos, in general, are no longer trusted and valued. Think of BTC. ETH and all other altcoins no longer valued and trusted. That is when ICOs will die gradually. As long as the market remains, there will always be a new project(coins) coming.

ICO will die when cryptocurrency is no longer existing again which I believe that it can't in this century or it can't happen at all. The only thing that can happen is that modification can occur in the marker of cryptocurrency.
