I don't think that religion has typically done so much destruction. Of course there have been some religions that are quite destructive, but, for the most part, I think the issue it people. Most religions teach peace and goodwill toward all people. Sometimes people abuse the idea of religion. They may say that "God told them" to do certain things. Sometimes people believe liars or wolves in sheep's clothing, as the Bible would put it. Religion is something so ingrained in so many cultures that I don't think it will ever disappear. Perhaps there will be more atheists, but I think there will also be more new religions.

First you can not kill or end the religion from this world because almost everyone has a religion in his or her mind. They worship their God they believe in them and they believe that everything that happen to them is because their God has a plan for them. So You will never erase religion from the face of earth.

Well the 2nd thing is religion has nothing to do with this because religion do  nothing to the people who follow it or believe in it. The only problem is the people who misuse the name and the terms and condition that a religion apply to the mankind and use it to create choas in the world so they could have their benefits no matters how many innocent people die because of their action.

Religion and beliefs are old as man itself. As long as Human beings exist, religion will
exist beside it. It's different in generations but religion is religion. It's the guide and
the glue that somehow bonds and adds cohesiveness to people, society and civilizations
throughout time and ages.

When will Religions die?

A good portion of religion will die when we don't have any atheists any longer.

Religions made a lot of damage to human beings and our world in general. I'm not talking only about Islam, but every kind of religion, more or less, caused lots of problems.

I'm sure they will end. They won't last forever. But how will they end?

Which could the scenario that leads to their disappearance?

Religion never dies. It can transform into something with a different name, but the meaning will remain the same. People know too little about themselves and about the world. To be honest, I do not believe that someday mankind will reveal all the secrets of the Universe. People are striving for this and are making progress. But the more answers, the more questions. And religion does not require facts and evidence, it requires faith in something that is stronger and wiser than a person. And not faith is to blame for wars and damage from religion, but the people who used it, use and will use for their own purposes.

instead of religion you then will get:

racism,

social darwinism,

some communist perfectionsism (observable in the banking cartels)

national socialism

etc.

religions will always exist.

Religions will never die. Most human beings needs to believe that there is a better world somewhere and also having difficulties to accept that their loved ones and themselves will die and eaten by the maggots, and that's the end of story. Much more comforting to think that we'll meet again in a better world Smiley. That's why modern religions like communism neo-liberalism and atheism are unable get a good traction, as while they trying to address the better world part none of those are able to provide an alternative for the maggot problem.

IMO, the religiosity is increasing in the world. The population is declining in secular nations such as China, Japan, France, Germany.etc and is increasing in ultra-religious regions such as Pakistan, GCC, Sub-Saharan Africa.etc. Even a lot of immigrants are coming to the western nations from the religious nations.

Religions, which is inspired by faith and power will not disappear if we are going to look at today's situation. It is hard for these religions to end since it is already established by years, religious people, money, and influence. However,if these religions will going to end, the scenario that will end all of those will be God himself exposing the truth to all of us here on Earth. The reason why different religions are being established is because of their different interpretation of the meaning of the words in the bible. If there is only one knowable truth, then those different religions will be terminated and a new one will emerge as they have found one certain truth, and they have now one interpretation of the word of God.

I don't think religion will Everly die, religion they say is mans relationship with a supreme being, and what is spiritual is beyond what is physical therefore for man to conteneously enjoy peace in the world his relationship with the Supreme being have to be maintained so that his spiritual battle will belong to this being.  Saying that religion will end or that religion should end is like leaving man in the state of anarchy, in a situation where no being is fighting spiritual battle for man high rate of deaths will be recorded

the problem is that the death of religions will create a new religion like "global nationalism" besides you will get secret small sect with their unique believes.

its also common knowledge that some very famous people in the western developed world believe in higher inteligent beings orgnasing and influencing the world, like elon musk or mark zuckerberg.

or me.

Actually, it is a good question. To my mind in the future, they may stay, but ALL of them should preach the peace for everyone. they shouldn't state that, as they do some of them today, only whom i am, and what is my religion, then I'AM RIGHT. Get it & they all should only talk about love and PEACE. especially PEACE. or another way is just future withhout them. but the answer is WHEN they'll die. well, my answer would be: more than 500 yoeaars later)))

Religion for me is something that can't be just dissolve totally in an instant. I believe that there is a very small chance for religions to die. But if it is somehow might happen, how would it happen. Maybe if our god let everyone see him. If god tells us that religion shouldn't be existing, then that is the time for the religions would definitely be dissolved. But for now, it isn't happening so religions continue to exist. There is really an evident crisis when it come to religion but what we could do is just respect others beliefs and their religion

Religion will never die because it is a good and efficient way to manipulate the masses and manipulation is power so some things will just keep going.

I doubt that religions will just die. I mean for one thing religions were already implemented to mankind way back before. I mean they even found a name to call for those who don't believe in religion which is Atheist, and consider it as a religion as well. I don't now, maybe mankind craves for a society to be belonged.

I don't think they will ever die off completely, people will still teach it to their kids, and they're kids will spread it throughout their friends, and later in life they will either continue believing in it or see that it doesn't make as much sense as they thought it did.
