Maybe you are not an early adopters of bitcoin, because during my time when I first knew it was when I check on the gambling sites and I notice that they accept bitcoins and that interest me because I did not have to spend more on charges for depositing to my other sportsbook.

The first time I heard (actually read) about Bitcoin was when I did research on my thesis about encryption for a degree. It was back in 2011. I searched Google scholar and found the paper of Satoshi. I took a quick look into it before I realized this is not what I was needing for my work. A couple of months later, Bitcoin was mentioned into an article I read and I remember about the paper again. This was the time when I really got into Bitcoin.

My first time i heard about bicoins.
That must be in november 2013. About 3 years ago.
I saw an article in the journal about someone in norwegian or so who had baught some bitcoins in the beginning for a few dollars and now they seemed to be 1000 dollar worth.
He had sold them all and bought an appartment with the money.
He first had to search for his code and wallet.dat, but luckely he found it.
Than i have been looking around for information about bicoin.

I think I first heard about Bitcoin reading a thread on another forum about how some guys were using their AMD graphics cards to mine the crypto currency if I remember correctly. That got me very interested to learn more and so I discovered the Bitcointalk forum later on and I found a lot of useful information here that helped me understand what Bitcoin is and how to use it. I am very grateful to the awesome people here that keep on contributing.

I first heard about bitcoin through my relative he told me that he is actually earning extra and real money from the bitcoin and make me encourage joining as possible. He taught me things that I have to do and know before I can actually join. Seriously, i like your question, because now bitcoin has a great part of our life, so we should know about it when we started our career from bitcoin.
By chance i saw in YouTube video clip about bitcoin, so i searched it and i was excited to use the bitcoin so than i started it .

Personaly, I first heard about Bitcoin after my friends showed me the profits that I can earn. They were earning lots of money every week and I was instantly interested. (still don't know how to earn so much) But I agree with you, it is a fascinating area of study.

I wasn't lucky enough to get in on Bitcoin early, but I heard about Bitcoin on the radio (and the internet shortly afterwards) once the value of Bitcoin was heading into the $600 range, and I really started to get into it once Bitcoin hit ~$1,200.

I kind of wish I had the initiative to start looking for something like this earlier than I had, but I didn't even know something like this existed four years ago.

There was a news story a few years a go about a guy who was given 5000 bitcoins when they were only worth about 1 cent each and bitcoin had gotten up to about $200. That raised my curiosity about it.
