Maybe you must check the ico rating website like ico trackr...you will find many interesting ideas and the rating will maybe help you to choose
I follow review sites, although I don't believe their rating on some ICO's. I use them as guide on which ICO will I be investing, right now. There's a new review platform that I have been waiting, it is called menlo.one they will try to create a safe marketplace for ICO investors.
We can find interesting and good ICOs in various places like in bitcoin forums, social media, youtube, ranking websites and ICObench. But we have to do our own research and find the best, because investing in ICO has a big risk.
To be able to find an interesting ICO and free from the scam, maybe it is not easy. Because in that search, we are constantly surrounded by scam ICOs. However, from me personally, to be able to find a good ICO. I see the qualifications of his sales achievement, the team that is able to sell his products with good performance, and also has a satisfactory performance will be able to provide satisfactory results.
I always search different websites where i check particular ICO rating but also you search deep their whitepaper and look does it have any use case for future masses . Team is also important and the roadmap of developments
Aside from several websites that offers a lot of ICO's and projects. Social media is another way to find good ICO and usually several channels like telegram, discord and etc is additional ways to find ICO. Moreover bitcointalk forum is the greatest key to find all ICO's that can provides you an interesting and legitimate ICO projects.
I am looking for ICO projects on the bitcointalk forum. on this forum i can find a lot of useful information about the projects and review from those already participating. I watch the rating of the project on ICODrops. a very useful site where i can find good ICO projects with a good future.
I get a lot of information about new projects from this forum, Twitter, ratings. It seems to me that this forum can give a lot of information about projects.
Well i find an interesting ICO by asking my friend what is is the ico that have a chance to became successful and i also find a good ico by the help of icodrop there are so many ico that is really have a strong team and good whitepaper. 
It is just no news or gain saying to me that the best place to check and find the most interesting ICOs for participation is this Bitcointalk Forum. I have keenly observed overtime that hardly could you come across scam project in the Bitcointalk Forum, though there may be shit coins that are of substandard obvious. Onus lies on you to make your proper research. The other area I fond interesting is on the Medium Network.

You can find some great ICOs in social media or bitcointalk. In order to find some great ICOs you need to always check the whitepaper, backgrounds and such of the said ICO because there are a lot of ICO that's a scam nowadays here, so we better be careful to prevent getting scammed.
I often find new interesting ICO in the Telegram, I find useful information in Steemit, sometimes I watch the video in YouTube.

- The recommendation of a friend has also been a good choice.

I find all interesting ICO projects on this forum and I believe that everything you need can be found here. But remember that finding a good project is not the main thing, the main thing is to analyze it well.
I'm not an avid investor of ICOs, so I just limit myself to the bounty campaigns and airdrops they execute, and this forum has been doing a pretty good job at listing good ICO projects, also, I rather look at the rank of the publisher of the ICO to know if it is really trustworthy.

Almost all the projects in which I took part I found in announcements on bitcointalk. There are a lot of such projects and pages with announcements can be flipped for hours. Old projects will also come across, but there are many new ones too.
it is possible to tweak ICO projects well within this forum. there are many ICO project ads on this forum. the number of ICO participants is important for me. Participate in the bounty campaign of the ICO project if there are too many people.
There are no really good ICOs in the bitcointalk anymore. ICO is becoming a website. You can find better opportunities from there.
ICOs are easy to find but it is not easy to determine to which ICO project you can give your trust and take it into consideration. Many of these projects are a scam and it can be discovered only in the later phase of the ICO.
I would suggest to find good project at www.icoguide.com the platform with not paid rates and good reviews.
