I also use the two and also local media in my country.
However, most that I get the information and news are also from this forum.
Additionally, we can also get from the telegram group news and channels.
Btw, these are also my good reads to have sometimes.:
  • CoinTelegraph
  • CCN
  • CoinDesk
  • CryptoSlate
  • News BTC
  • Bitcoin Magazine
  • U Today

There are a plethora of resources for learning about the world of crypto, but in my opinion, the Bitcointalk forum is the finest for doing so. I'm also looking for it in Blockfolio, which you can acquire for free. In addition to that it's better to follow Coin desk in Twitter for more info.

I'm always using both sites to get the latest news about altcoins. i often use cryptorank to get the news for the small coins but you can also try to get specific news through CMC as well. These sites are good sites based on my experience.

I've been reading CoinDesk and CoinTelegraph, but those are general news sites in my opinion.  There isn't a lot of news about the smaller coins.

What sites do you read?

There are so many sites that talk about crypto, hundreds or even thousands of sites. However, I was looking for more information on the CMC website. CMC not only records the price and circulation of crypto, but also a lot of other information there.

I've been reading CoinDesk and CoinTelegraph, but those are general news sites in my opinion.  There isn't a lot of news about the smaller coins.

What sites do you read?
Well, all of them for me is enough to find news, --these Coindiesk and Cointelegraph are the oldest groups that give the news to their followers and including me. One there is a news, all of them had the same issue regarding what being a trend as of now in the market like repeatedly mentioning Elon Musk. So I think, there's no need to find another source of news in crypto. Social media too are also good for this, Twitter, Telegram and etc that these two leading companies will always give a hot result and news.

Smaller coins, what do you mean? Do you want a website to write junk coins on their site. Of course they will not, because every thing they write will be part of the promotion. CoinDesk and CoinTelegraph are unlikely to do this, as their sites are a reference section for investors.

I think back then when the world wasn't taking crypto  serious my go to place for news was coindesk, cointelegraph, others  can't really recall them but I have them bookmarked and they are still reliable.

Now the game has changed the world wants to be in the know with what's happening in the world of crypto and everyone has a segment for crypto for the new sites I use alots  of sources,  like Bloomberg, the economist, CNBC and many more

I use https://www.cnbcindonesia.com/tag/cryptocurrency and https://m.id.investing.com/news/cryptocurrency-news to read the latest information from cypto in my local language. so it can depend on what language they speak, most of them get information from trusted sites and
people can get information from various sources in local language or english.

I do not exactly have a specific website where I mostly read about cryptocurrency news because I just keep on jumping into different sites if I wanted to know about a certain coin to do verification and also background checking. But commonly, I have been seeing CoinDesk and CoinTelegraph like the others for the reason that upon searching, those two websites are on the top search results and that I where I first started reading about crypto until I get into the other websites to see if they have the same news or which one looks to be a good reading.

I've also just check CoinDesk and CoinTelegraph because it's probably I think one of the top cryptocurrency news websites, but mostly I just go with CoinDesk and browse some crypto news.

But most of the time I just search on google for recent news especially on the cryptocurrency that I'm investing in or looking into since you the news you want is not always the front page of the websites so you need to research manually.

News doesn't really matter if you're investing in the long term but for a daily trader and short-term investors, it's a big deal, even rumors, and news on Twitter and telegram are important.

I have been reading coin telegraph and I have no problems with it, I think any news they give is always about crypto-currency and also they are quite on time meaning they not often give expired news, am not also limited to coin telegraph on news website, I get news and thought on the news from some reputable people, I emphasis on the reputable, because we have many claiming that, this people has channel, account or groups and they give enough news with analysis, am not going to mention them but you can research on them.

I've been reading CoinDesk and CoinTelegraph, but those are general news sites in my opinion.  There isn't a lot of news about the smaller coins.

What sites do you read?
https://cryptopanic.com I have always used this website and they are by far the best at what they do. Sure there are good news websites about crypto but this website collects them all, all the good websites, all the bad websites, all the known famous peoples crypto tweets, basically it is purely a place where you can get all the info and news about crypto in one place instead of going to many different places.

This is why I think it is quite honestly the best website there is out there for getting news about crypto, because it is not just one place, it is all the places combined into one, what can be better than that? There is also comments section where you can see what people are saying about a certain thing, that comments/chat part of the website also allows you to not only get the news but also get the reactions to the news as well and that is very important.

Very true,  a friend also recommended the site to me few months back, I check it out and I like what I see do far, very informative about latest happenings on the crypto space and I like that you get to see the market status of some top coins, the ui is just very simple,  I also will recommend it ,

Bitcointalk is the largest cryptocurrency forum, so if you want to find information about a certain cryptocurrency, it's best to search here.
Besides getting information from bitcointalk I also seek information from various media sites like FB and TW.

This is what I first think when the OP asked about news of cryptocurrencies. The announcements section - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=159.0 alone, along with its child board - Tokens (Altcoins) - https://bitcointalk.org/index.php?board=240.0, will give you specific updates for each coin, which, you can never get from other websites. If you want to follow a specific coin, just find their thread and they will give a very good insight on what's going on with their respective project.
That's right, Bitcointalk always has information of most coins on the market.
Besides, there are many experts active on this forum and they can give everyone the best advice.

maybe a country with a majority of the population using crypto will have a special news on television, it will be a special attraction for those who are still laymen because it's rare for people to find out an article before they know it in the big media

I constantly update information about the current news of crypto both on the local sources and global sources. For local sources, I have coinvestasi, cnnindonesia, bitocto, and others. While for global sources, mostly I read the news on CoinDesk, CoinTelegraph, Bitcoin Magazine, and CryptoSlate. I think these crypto news sites are enough to update the information daily.
That's right, I also often read on the three global sites that you mentioned, now for local ones at this time, what has been updated about crypto? because I rarely visit local sites so it's a little less updated about local crypto news.

Do not die for Putin
The reason for not having news about smaller coins is that there is rarely anything worth or qualifying as "news" from small coins. The basics: project x is born join our telegram, exchange your strong bitcoin or ether for tokens of project x, project X ico is finished, project x is burning tokens, project x launches massive strategic alliance with.... (tesla, microsoft, IBM, General Motors,...), project x is on its way to moon... and then... nobody talks again about project x, telegram shutdown, web page down....

Why would you need news about project x?
