Hi community,

When we make a bet and put our money on the line, we may lose money, time, and even some daily tasks that we neglect, and the first goal remains to make a quick profit with the largest possible amount of money, but I do not know why some people consider bets to be more  for fun  and a way to spend time than to win money.

Personally, I would consider it fun when my budget is much greater than my losses or when I gamble with someone else's money, and this is something I would not do if I had no benefit in it.

I think there are those who agree with me and those who do not agree with me, but it remains my personal opinion and an opportunity to share your opinions on this topic.

So where's the fun when you lose your money?
There's actually no fun in losing our money mate.dint get the term fun in gambling confused as it's just a way to tell you to enjoy your game and play without being emotional. Having losing money sometimes, creates so many taughts in our mind but I sometimes wonder why I just want to try again. I won't call it addiction that because I know fully when I should stop and retrace my step.
This is what most gamblers don't know about. When you keep losing and then continue playing, trying to get back what you had lost, you end up losing even more than expected. That's not fun at all.  And you saying that it would be fun, using other peoples money to gamble for fun would only give you even more trouble as you are supposed to only gambling with what you can afford to loss. Don't put up an attitude you may regret as gambling was meant to be for fun so no matter how you look at it, it's just going to be so.

I'm sorry to say this, but if you are one of those whose primary goal is to make quick money, then gambling is not for you, go get a skill.

Basically, there are three kinds of people who gambles, first, those who do it for the money (i.e profit alone), Second, those who do it for fun (i.e  while using it as a medium of spending quality time with family & friends), and third, those who do it for both money and fun, and there is a huge difference between these three kinds of individuals, because while those who gambles only for money may not be financially buoyant, those who gambles for fun are those who money in excess (i.e multi millionaires), of which such kind of gambling are always mostly done on live physical casinos.

The highest force propelling people to start gambling and continue in it is the hope of a better life that can be achieved through gambling wins. It is this hope that will make a gambler accept losses with joy and continue pushing on believing they will get it right someday. This hope can get you to be happy in the midst of challenges and indeed make fun out of the gambling experience.

As soon as this hope is lost, there is nothing left about gambling other than misery and depression. We can therefore say that a gambler accept losses and somehow find a way of catching fun in gambling when the hope of wining is active.

So where's the fun when you lose your money?

Where is the fun when you buy a movie ticket and just sit down and watch a movie without gaining anything? People spend money on different things that entertain them. It might not interest or give you pleasure but other people derive pleasure from them. Nobody indeed wants to lose money on gambling this is why it is so important to gamble with what you can afford to lose. When you gamble with little funds gambling will be the same experience as spending on other forms of entertainment. If you assume that it is when you are making gains that you are enjoying gambling there is an indication that you are gambling solely because of money which is not the right way to approach gambling.

Of course, it's a bummer when we lose but I think of it as a part of the process.
The journey is the reward. The fun is in the gambling even when we lose. Each lose is a teachable moment of what we may have not done right. Like a ying-yang. There's loss on one end and win on the other end. In the middle there's fun. However only achievable if the loss is controlled. Like using 5% of your income for gambling.
Gambling isnt really actually a solution when you do need money, always realize and tell to yourself that its for leisure and entertainment.
There is no fun if the gambler has this mindset and losses money. The actual fun is in the last part of the sentence. Gambler for leisure and for entertainment.

The fun is the challenge to win and when you win that's more fun. You play to win that's the goal, none of us play to lose which is of course not fun. But try to win big with just the very little you have as capital.

Its always not fun to lose. And if you lose all the time, you should just try something else as that makes you happy. Its the best that you can do for yourself. Avoid gambling after all its not for everyone.

Whose money do you want to gamble with? Will anyone be willing to give out their own personal money to the next person to use and gamble unless they expect something in return for that money?

If you are too afraid to gamble with your personal money, then gambling is never for you. The best you can do is place a bet with a very small amount you can afford and get the most fun out of it. It's when you see gambling as a means to earn money and decide to go in with a large amount, which you end up losing to the game, that you will feel the pain of the loss.

One of the reasons people are advised to gamble heavily for fun even when they expect little profit from it is so that even if they don't win the game, the fun part of gambling will sustain their emotions and keep them under control.

Of course, it's a bummer when we lose but I think of it as a part of the process. I have never expected, I will always win to begin with -- it's gambling, after all. In addition, I only gamble within my monthly budget so no crying and financial dent when on a losing streak lol.

Personally, I like the anticipation of what will be the result of my bets plus actually winning does make my day lol. This is the fun part for me.

So where's the fun when you lose your money?
Betting is not fun when you lose money what makes betting fun is when you have mastered the act of betting. What makes betting fun is when you are knowledgeable about the game you are betting on. What makes betting fun is when you have your risk management strategies rather than betting blindly and hoping for a magical win. What makes betting fun is not chasing losses. These and several others are what makes betting fun. Of course we may lose money because of house edge and but not because we bet stupidly and lost.
If you master the betting, that does not mean you will not lose if your winnings and losses are calculated but what you said that is just right is that gamblers should have a good betting strategy. It is the bad strategies that some gamblers have that makes gambling not to be fun for them. Just like you said, there is house edges and gamblers are more likely to lose. Anyone that do not have fun while gambling should better stop gambling. Gambling is not a means of looking for money which many gamblers that are just newbies just want but fail.

Losing money is never been fun and this is why on the time that you would really be dealing up with gambling or even on investment then you should really be prepared or be aware that losing money could really be possibly to happen along the way and this is why it would really be that important that you should really be at least wary of the things about those possibilities so that you wont really be expecting too much.
Gambling isnt really actually a solution when you do need money, always realize and tell to yourself that its for leisure and entertainment.

People would really be mess up their lives just because they are really that expecting something more on the things that they've been dealing with without even trying out to check
whether its really that something realistic or something being delusional.

...gambling responsibly. Do not be addicted.

Because they are using little amount of money to gamble. Let us say you earn $500 weekly and you are using just $5 to gamble and using the remaining $495 for other things to improve your life and success, you will not feel like you lose $5 even if you are losing all the $5 every week because it is a little amount of money that you can afford to lose.

So where's the fun when you lose your money?
OP, one thing that you don't understand is that losing the money is not the fun, but the fun is that you enjoyed the game. You should not gamble on any game that you don't have any idea on, so that when playing the game, you can enjoy it. It is just like you playing card with your friends, don't you enjoy the fun in it. But while playing and you decided to stake a little amount to make everyone sit up, and make the game more interesting, because no one will want to lose his money.

That is the fun. This is why the advice is ways use the amount of money that you can afford to lose to gamble, so that you will not miss the fun. Whoever gambles with the amount that he cannot afford to lose will not be feel the fun if his bet was lost .
