I guess you already have the idea now OP. You'd supposed to follow what the majority is saying "INVEST IN BITCOIN".

Well, of course, you can decline the inputs and make your own discovery but I'm afraid of your possible ends if you will not going to follow. And I need you to keep searching, learning more as this was the only way to enlighten your minds and make see why we are suggesting Bitcoin, not altcoins for newbies.

However, you can reconsider some of the potential altcoins;
 * Ethereum (ETH)
 * BNB ( Binance coin)

Good luck on your crypto journey...

As a newbie in the crypto environment, with a keen interest in making a profitable investment in crypto, where would you best advice me to invest in 2022. Will an investment in bitcoin now still be profitable to me or investing in other coins is what you best advice? I understand that people are sometimes reserved as per not wanting to give financial advice to avoid being blamed if it goes wrong, but I will try to go through all the responses I can get and highlight the answers that are repeated for consideration.

As what other said, BTC is your best choice if you still new in crypto because btc is less volatile than altcoins. You can explore and try other coins to invest later if you already gain knowldege about investing in crypto. Choose wisely or else you will lose your investment. It's not too late to invest and hold bitcoin but of course doing your own research and study will help you better and not just rely on the opinion of others.  Goodluck!

If you want a stable, almost non-volatile coin, then BTC will suit you very well. If you want to make money on P2P trading, then a lot of altcoins will help you. In general, if you are looking for a safe pillow for your money - BTC! Try to analyze the market yourself and do not ask for advice from others.

It is a bad idea to ask others where you should invest, i have said this before and i would reiterate, when you ask questions like this you should of course be prepared for people to advise you on investing in projects they hodl, and of course what else should you expect, if i am to tell someone to buy a coin, it would have to be the coin i have put money on myself. But the thing is this, i only put money into it cause i believe in the project and have done my research about it, and it suits me pretty well.

My example above is just to hamper on how pertinent research is for every individual investor. But since you asked, if you are a long term investor, then you need a long term project, Bitcoin is the only long term project i know of. On the other hand, if you are a short term investor, then you can take a look at various altcoins, but mind you that they carry a lot of risk cause many are pump and dump coins and they could sometimes only be backed up by fake promises, meaning if they dump, that could be the end of it.

I believe you can put 20% in SOL, 20% in Near, these are two protocols which are advanced and have good future potentials, 20% go with bitcoin and 10% you can buy some small shitcoins Here and there as per your choice or buzz around the market, the remaining 30% you should keep in USDT to average out any shake off that comes in the market in next few weeks or months or buy it when we see a small correction after the next all time high. this way you'll be hedged against market falling and at the same time riding the market profits as well.

OP, you can invest wherever you like but you also have to understand that you have to invest in what you can afford to lose. That is a simple answer but it must be broad because you also have to consider choosing an asset that is really worth investing in. This means that you are not only sure about the potential of the asset but you must also know that you are playing with risk.

Bitcoin investing is one of the best, but you shouldn't agree that investing in physical assets is more relaxing. You are also free to invest anywhere other than cryptocurrency, that is your right but you must really know what you are investing for.

for the long term, bitcoin is still profitable. it can be said that btc is the best compared to other crypto. but the question is how much money will be invested? this is most important because how much money is invested will determine how much profit you can get later. if the amount is big, you will get a big ROI. but if the amount is small, I don't think bitcoin is the best choice even for the long term. better find another coin. I think ethereum, bnb, solana, Terra, avalanche could be a substitute option if you have limited funds.
Not only long term but bitcoin is also profitable for the short term. can't you see the value lately, it's always up and down. The money that will be invested is of course will depend on the op because he is the one that ask for suggestions.

Big or small capital, both are suited since bitcoin is a safe coin. He only want to make sure that he buys at low and sells at high. He must avoid panic selling when the price is dumping and he is at a temporary loss but he should maintain his patience to wait for the price to recover and to wait for the best moment to sell. Other coins that you suggested are good only if he wants to diversify his funds.

Keep the Bitcoin and buy it more whenever you feel like to and buy other altcoins just in case there will be some altcoin seasons during holding that Bitcoin, it's always good to diversify your money into different assets so you can manage it way better as well as getting more profit if you can do it carefully. It's wasting your opportunity if you choose to only invest on one asset despite there are big chances you will win bigger.

From your post I can can clearly guess you don't have much knowledge about crypto world and that's why you are asking for an advice.
I think the really question is not where to invest but to ask for where to start your crypto journey.
I believe each and every aspect of crypto can be profitable but to get something out of it you have to work hard because passive income style not work here.
So I will suggest you to start with simple trading and learn more about market fluctuations. This will help you to understand behaviour of different crypto currencies.
Good luck

actually a little funny, if your account name is bitcoin-bride but you yourself have doubts about Bitcoin lol. if you are still very new to crypto then bitcoin is the best, safest and most trusted investment choice. Altcoins that exist today are prone to rug-pull while bitcoin will never rug-pull forever.
This is an open forum so anyone can use any name they like. Even if your account does name Bitcoin bride doesn't mean you are knowledgeable about Bitcoin or other crypto. For that to happen, he/she ask on what to invest. As you can see, that person said he/she is a newbie so that means he/she is still a newbie. It is Indeed a bit funny when you use that kind of name when you are doubting Bitcoin when you have done some research.

If you want to invest, you should invest in knowledge first then you can decide for yourself which coin to invest in without anyone's advice.
And if you still need some of our advice, we can only tell you that Bitcoin is the perfect choice as it is the king of crypto. Second, ETH is the altcoin worth investing in after Bitcoin. These will be 2 extremely safe options for beginners like you. Absolutely do not listen to the charm of new projects, projects that have not been verified and have no name with promises of assets x100, they are all scams so stay away from them.

Not sure where to invest?. The first good advice is to invest in BTC first before investing in other crypto right after you are done doing some research about the crypto that you want to invest. Investing without knowing the crypto is much the same as putting your money in a place where you can see your money but the chance of getting a profit or your money back. Also, be careful of scammers out there as you might get scammed through being a platform as a disguise as a platform where you can invest in Bitcoin.

As a newbie in the crypto environment, with a keen interest in making a profitable investment in crypto, where would you best advice me to invest in 2022. Will an investment in bitcoin now still be profitable to me or investing in other coins is what you best advice?

The real question is what is a profitable investment for you when it comes to Bitcoin? If you would be happy to at least double or maybe triple your investment in the next few years then I would try Bitcoin without too much hesitation. But if you are looking for a profit of x50 or x100, then it is unrealistic to expect that you can achieve this with Bitcoin in the near future.

If you want to gamble with altocins then be prepared that you can get rich (small chances), and that you can lose everything you invest (big chances). After all, don’t expect to get a lot of advice to invest in something other than Bitcoin, yet this is a bitcointalk forum Wink

where would you best advice me to invest in 2022.
Invest your money into the top coins right now. Dollar Cost Averaging is the better option. Invest into at least 3 or more top coins depending on how much money you have to invest.

Will an investment in bitcoin now still be profitable to me or investing in other coins is what you best advice?
Depending on your timeframe. If you will buy Bitcoin and will only hold for a few weeks then it might not be profitable. If you will hold it for months then it might be but not as well but if you will hold for years (long term), history has already shown that Bitcoin's movement is upward so it will be profitable though there will be times that it will go down. For me, if you only invest for short to mid term then pick altcoins but if long term put most of your money into Bitcoin.

where would you best advice me to invest in 2022.

Bitcoin, but before you start investing you have to learn it first, this is the most secured aspect that determines your investment safety and an itch free experience in cryptocurrency, learn and see that you understand before starting.

Will an investment in bitcoin now still be profitable to me or investing in other coins is what you best advice?

first secure yourself by investing in bitcoin only for now, why is because we have lot of unrealistic projects out their also refered to as shitcoins, they can fold up anytime and most are with the intention of scamming people like you (Newbies).

I understand that people are sometimes reserved as per not wanting to give financial advice to avoid being blamed if it goes wrong

Of course they would have told you the risk involved before going into else except you're also falling on a wrong hand, but in bitcoin the risk involved is minimal to other shitcoins out there and the benefits is stand to gain at the end is worth taken the risk.

Bitcoin will be the best investment to make as a newbie  because it is the most reliable cryptocurrency a newbie should start with to invest.  As a newbie it is important to get knowledge about bitcoin,  try to understand the volatility aspect of bitcoin,  also get knowledge on what to do when bitcoin goes down dip. Don't buy bitcoin without having knowledge about it.

Since you are in the crypto world, we can advise you to invest in bitcoin as the main investment that you must have. For future investments, you can choose from many coins on the market, but we recommend focusing on the top 50-100 coins list. But it would be better if you could look it up yourself because it can give you the opportunity to learn to analyze the state of each coin and the market situation. And if you can do it many times, you will see that your skills will improve.

If you are new to the market and want to make money Smiley I'm not sure about the future as a novice as you can understand and trust it, so I would like to give you my sincere advice to invest in market knowledge first. Then you can judge for yourself the risk-reward potential with what you research. Personally, I want newbies like you to have a clearer view of this market, not just by looking at the profits, but other people's earnings as well. Be more realistic to avoid making mistakes and make yourself a gambler in this space. And the BTC option, I think, is very attractive. It's just a matter of being patient until you see a profit, and there are a lot of problems that come with an investment.
