As a newbie in the crypto environment, with a keen interest in making a profitable investment in crypto, where would you best advice me to invest in 2022. Will an investment in bitcoin now still be profitable to me or investing in other coins is what you best advice? I understand that people are sometimes reserved as per not wanting to give financial advice to avoid being blamed if it goes wrong, but I will try to go through all the responses I can get and highlight the answers that are repeated for consideration.
Having being in the cryptocurrency market for some years now, I can boldly say altcoins will make the next generation of millionaires. There are over 13000 altcoin circulating today, that have the potential to make you millions in future. You can find a number of opportunities in these cryptocurrencies, and good ROI than just investing in bitcoin alone, I will advise you in my opinion that you should go for exchange coin if you are in for a long term, and note that it's not just any exchange coin, do you research and invest in those that have a solid team and vision ahead

The first you can do is to download app like Coinmarketcap, check the lists of high marketcap cryptocurrencies, click the the ones that you have interest in, check the price history of the coins in years. This can give you some detailed information of how the price of cryptocurrencies fluctuate and the time to buy. For example, you can check on the price history of bitcoin, use four years to differentiate and each starting from the halving period to the next halving, checkthe prehalving price, the highest and lowest price after halving, this will give you good information.  Bitcoin grew and reach all-time-high of about $70k, the price falled from all-time-high to $40k, which means the price decreased to some extent after reaching all-time-high and a good period to have a long term investment. If you want to invest in cryptocurrency like bitcoin in long term, I do not see anything bad to do that now, you can invest.

Well said but also support a cryptocurrencies group.Join a cryptocurrencies group they will suggest as well best.when i was a new in this platform some of people suggest me join a cryptocurrencies group. Then i have joined a group and they are discussion about cryptocurrencies. What coin is profitable, what coin i will invest. Then i see coinmarketcap price valu and find out  coin buy sell history also searching  youtube video etc.Right now you invest bitcoin.it's good profitable and future able coin.

I think that you have to learn first. Bitcoin is a risky investment, especially for those who don't have the patience keep the coins for a couple of years, especially for those who invested money they "cannot afford to lose".
Altcoins are even riskier, many of them are plain scam, some of them may be profitable for short term and may do worse than Bitcoin on long term... it's even more to learn. Much more.

So if you have some money you afford to lose, you can start with DCA and small amounts, while you're also reading/learning more (just keep a vigilant eye on the exchange fees and withdrawal fees so you don't lose much there).

Ah, and also something vey important before you put money in crypto: learn about how to keep your wallet safe (and consider buying a hardware wallet). You don't want hackers steal your money, right?

PS. All this is not a financial advice. Please decide for yourself what you do with your money.

I think the best investment is in bitcoin, moreover you are a beginner where by investing in bitcoin, at least you enter the investment in the safest coins. do not let you be influenced by the seduction of scammers with sweet promises. therefore choose the right investment, and start to seek knowledge about bitcoin and cryptocurrencies will be better, and after that is your own development to go forward and dare to analyze and take speculation

Well, I differ from the previous answers. Before making any financial investment, what you have to do is to invest in yourself, in knowledge. Read about personal finance, about investing, and then about Bitcoin and the rest of cryptocurrencies. With all the information that is available on the internet, if you have to base your investment decisions on the opinions we give you in a forum, you're not doing well.
That's true because basically it's better to prepare everything for ourselves,
both of knowledge and skills are equally important because if only expecting and relying on others it will not make us grow,
we can't ignore that and start learning for ourselves

As a newbie, I still recommend buying bitcoin as the best option. If you really want to make money long term in the market, don't look at the price in the short term. The price of bitcoin has increased many times since 2013 and many people think that bitcoin will not be able to rise anymore and is no longer as profitable as altcoins. This is a common mistake.

If you look to the future 10 years from now, the bitcoin price could go up to 500k even 1 million dollars. Honestly, a lot of people say it's an illusion but I believe in the next 10 years, 15 years from now bitcoin can be achieved. Bitcoin remains the most profitable coin and the safest choice not only for newbies but also for seasoned investors.

If you’re a newbie go for Bitcoin for now while learning things here, investing in knowledge is also the best investment aside from Bitcoin, if you think you are still not knowledgeable enough about cryptocurrency, don’t hesitate to learn. Anyway, Bitcoin is the safest thing for you to buy right now the price may drop but in long term it will still rise. Keep learning, you can buy altcoins later on if you already have knowledge about it.

As said above, I'd buy btc too but if you plan on storing the coins yourself or using the network then I'd buy a small amount first just to test how everything works and learn how to do things with small amounts.

Is there something specific you're after? Have you got other investments that you can use to keep your portfolio a bit more stable too? This might be helpful to ensure you have an investment that isn't speculative like bitcoin and offers a bit of diversity.

Just buy BTC is good advice as said.   Reason being if you are new you need to learn more and it wont really be too late later to do so, holding BTC meanwhile is quite reasonable.   Unless you have some inside or special insight on a particular protocol dont try and guess is best.
It can be really hard to predict what drives the alt coin market, used to be we mined the coins and kept some back perhaps and that was a cheap entry.   Doge for example makes little sense but I wish I'd had more recognition of how markets move on perception and just awareness of coin can drive its trading, Doge was just 1 Satoshi cost at one point.  It crashed to that base level because of excessive supply which to this day I think it does still have but the underestimated factor was sustained demand not because its a good blockchain just the meme basically and so markets can be quite weird tbh and its hard to guess popularity etc.

A newbie still unsure where to put his money should just buy BTC. You'll save yourself from the stress of keeping up with more volatile coins and tokens. BTC price is higher than the rest and also drops from time to time but it's profitable long-term. You can start buying in small amounts using funds that you can afford to lose.

You can start exploring other projects once you're familiar with trading and filtering. Start small again if you plan to diversify. 10% alts and 90% btc should be fine.
