I thought you should switch your money for altcoin (ethereum). Because ethereum were platform, where those tokens need some gas to spend the tokens(made transactions).
'cause market of law is, if many of demand the price will be rised.

If I were you, I would invest that $500 in tokens that has larger marketcap but with lower prices. There are TRON and Ripple which are a very good altcoins. Not because they're in the top 20 coins but because we already know how tough these coins are. Very stable price during he bearing, mooning prices during the recovery period.

If i were you, I prefer to hold my $500 dollars and wait for the market to slowly recovers because you might be losing your money once you invest it today due to continues dropping of the crypto market.

Yes, Investing in crypto with only $500 is just a small capital and i think will not make you profitable if investing in expensive cryptocurrency, I must suggest to invest it in ICOs because the market price is very cheap and you can buy more coins but we need to ensure that the ICOs we invested is a good project for us to earn a big profit.
