Yes, I was spent some money on betting to lottery with the same rule, putting the numbers so many times, I mean every time I play lottery, and was not yet in lucky day to draw those numbers. And yes in my country too it is totally used as way of playing the lottery, their lucky numbers, birthday and special days of their lives.

I believe its purely waste of time and money to think in that direction because even from what I have read, someone who has been playing same number for 5 years has not even won any, and there is no assurance that if that continues in the next 10 years winnings will come. It is purely based on chance and sometimes the machine generating to pick the winning numbers would have been configured to ensure that the number out there is not selected

I don't believe this kind of superstition. This is baseless and there is no point in believing it. Even if you bet on the same number over and over again every day, your chances of winning will remain the same every single time you buy that lotto ticket. Using the same number more than once does not give you more chances of winning it.

I know many people are doing that, but I don't believed it. Its a waste of money and time actually, try to imagine everyday they buy a lottery coupon, and some they're doing a years ago up to now still believing there gonna hit the jackpot, if they just keep the amount of each coupon for the years doing it isn't they have save money supposed to be but not in the reality. So I don't believe on it.

That's a crazy thought, it's like losing out money everyday to an addiction and then thinking one day you will return to your bank and find them right there in your account. I don't believe in betting for fun.

i think its impossible that our number can out again in the other day but its not close to see this thing is happen and we can only hope that our number is come out as the winner. but always, its still a small chance that our number can be a winner in the same games. for playing lottery, we only count on with our luck and its not about to have a good strategy that will work for lottery. so i think we need to use other number so our chance to win the games is wide open and we can take the money in our account.

In my country, there are plenty of people that do this. They call this "taking care of your number." Well, it isn't in the english language, but roughly that is how it is translated. I haven't heard of anyone that used this superstition to really win the lottery. What I do is bet on all the birthdays of my love ones. Generally I don;t believe in superstitions, it's just that I'd like to have my number chosen easier.

Savings is different, you spend money in lottery because you can afford what you spent and there is nothing wrong with that. What I see is wrong is when you believe that you can win without thinking properly how do you arrive that strategy. Lottery is worst that dice in terms of chances, I know a lot of people fall for the trap to win a big amount of money and keep spending everyday repeating the same number combination day by day, some will be lucky but I'm sure while one will be lucky to become millionaire, there are also millions who are losing everyday, overall it's the lottery outlet who are making money.

Since lottery has got so many combinations so I don't think even with buying the same series one can give any guaranty that they will win big amount lottery. Most of the time people will spend more money to buy these lotteries than what they will win small amounts now and then. Only a few lucky people may be winning these lotteries so don't spend a lot of money on these lotteries but just try your luck with a very small amount.

Winning a lottery is totally depends on your luck, and I don't believe that many people have become wealthy, but some people might have won big money in a lottery. That's the problem with addicted gamblers who are out of ideas and still got money to loose. They'd stop at nothing but will keep proposing worthless ideas until they go bankrupt.

Yes and they forget a little thing in their mind that the lottery number drawn each time is not dependent on the number that was drawn last time and hence the number would be totally new always.
But seriously these sort of mindset are very common and the main reason of loss among gamblers.
