I do not understand why are you looking for coins below 1$. It doesnt matter, market cappitalization is the indicator for the coin with possible big growth.
So find some low cap coins with great potentional and if you are lucky, you can earn thousands percent profit.

Apart the popular altcoins like Ethereum and the likes, that have gained more attentions and popularity, presently I will love to invest in Pundi X (NPXS). In my own view, it's has a great potential of becoming one of the best altcoin.

There are too many coins in the coinmarketcap you can choose one of them and invest. Ripple, Ethereum and EOS would be better to invest these coins are looking much promising and profitable what I think. But you can fix it in which coin you will take to invest.
Now it is better to invest not in cheap coins, costing a few cents, but in old forks, for example, Bitcoin cash. Of course, they will not bring huge profits, but this is a more reliable investment.

Switcheo (SWTH) is about to release ETH pairs on their NEO-based DEX!! These guys have been working non-stop and Callisto should be a major success. ETH will bring huge volume and Qtum chain integration will follow eventually! They also said they were working on a new set of incentive for the SWTH holders.
I am following this project since the contest they participated with NEO last year. They released some code to help with Ledger integration that benefit the whole NEO community. These guys are something else and I think their DEX will get major traction. Trying it should convert any pessimist.

not all ICOs will succeed, so you are patient and don't give up. try again until it works, because every effort goes diligently there will be results. in my opinion there are many good and potentially good coins, all of which depend on every taste. Ethereum, NEO, EOS, Ripple and Dash, in my opinion are good coins, in the future they will grow well so that you will get big profits, the key is that you must always be patient in running any business.
