Are newbies who are now being paid a lot for something like this? so I've found some of the same posts about this on several Newbie accounts in this forum, so I'm surprised at the advice you guys give for no apparent reason.

That project you mentioned is also part of the speculative market. I mean everything in this market is speculative excluding the stable coins that really has the value that's stable and pegged with fiat. While in the NFT market, there are a lot of projects that are good in giving methods of earning and that's why many of them are being liked.

I can't say which one is the best among altcoins but considering their ranks will be something to tell their potentials and that is how choose coins to invest. Of course, we don't just think about quick returns as it wasn't measuring the potentiality of the project but it was how it improve while the days are running since we are looking for long-term investment.

I have the same experience with ADA, I'd never think that it went down as I never expecting it coz this project seems promising before but for now, it changes a lot maybe because of the competition.

It depends on what you are looking for from these two projects in the smart contract. ETH over the years since it was developed and made a successful stand, lots and many other projects has made it through by using the ETH smart contract network.
If we are looking at coins that are for the future and will survive over the years to come, ETH is one. It has gain the popularity, backers / supported. I will invest in ETH, BNB, EOS, BCH SOLANA etc, as coins that has good potentials of surviving the long run, I don't know how far SOLANA will stay, but I just feel like adding it. These are list for altcoins, on the main list, BTC will have to be there cause it stands as the head leader of the crypto market, which other altcoins respects and are influenced by it's price movement.

I suggest SOL or BNB because these projects still very optimistic and keep promising in the market.. Matic and XLM still look fine so far and it certainly wouldn't be wrong to have them until the bullrun market really comes around for all coins, but if it's just for the long term I think there's a very good selection of coins for everyone to have. and not just those two.

I think long term shit coin is the best choose for investing, but you need to see potential shit coin exactly listed not only with one exchange market but have several exchange like shiba coin, many exchange have support trading this coin and you can use shiba as your long term investment, maybe you can take much profit later with shiba coin and support with staking too on shiba coin.
