I use bitcoin-qt out of tradition. The only thing about it that I am not a fan of is the long time it takes to sync!

I think, there is a headless version, which is easily downloadable.

Armory, because I feel it is the most secure of them.
I never heard it. Where to get it from?

From their official website. LINK  Smiley

i have switched from bitcoin-QT to Bitcoin Android Wallet.
more user "friendly" (and more safe with password and restore system = erasing wallet is more secure after a transaction if your phone is stealh/broken).

bitcoin-QT ... have a to complex presentation now (and the QR code have missed in v0.9.x).
I use only this system in "NODE" restriction now...

I use Electrum, because it is a SPV (no need to download 19GB block data). Smiley

so i have been trying to keep up with updating my bitcoin qt client and i recently seen there was an virus or hack or something associated with it. could u tell me more about this and what exactly happened im kind of nervous.

There was no virus or hack. It was a vulnerability of OpenSSL (details @ http://heartbleed.com/). If u r using Bitcoin-QT 0.9.1, u r safe. Otherwise, please read => https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/bitcoin-core-bitcoin-qt-091-released-update-required-562409

Not even with social engineering, I have no clue what it is. Use a password manager with a equally long password xD

Anything can be broken with social engineering... even nuclear power plant's password Wink

For local wallets I think Multibit is the best (and they are working on a new version that looks awesome). For convenience, blockchain.info FTW!

use blockchain. Most convenient for me. Security is pretty good too, you control your private keys unlike coinbase. Also I get sent a backup of my wallet EVERYTIME I make a transaction or change to the account, so if blockchain were to go down, could import into multbit.

If you are using Blockchain.info please use 2FA - in the event that someone gets into your email and has the necessary information to log in, the only thing stopping them is 2FA. If you are keeping you're wallet on that same email address, use 2FA for that email address as well if possible. Better to be safe than sorry.

Unfortunately, I have it on mobile as well, which doesn't support 2FA, at least for windows phone. I do use a password generator, and this is a sample password that it would give me: IG'H})ZKDBLis9aHBw?!r8XiPFfY Think i'm pretty safe. Will consider 2FA if I have significant funds in there.

WoW ...nice password. I dont believe any known method can break this without social engineering. Wink
