Stick to the biggest market caps and you should be fine most of the time. At least with the scam part. If you figure out the time to get into the market and are sure the trade will be profitable overall then the biggest question is what usage/adoption there is for the coin. To me it's BNB as it is is hugely growing it's users base as Binance is strong as ever and not slowing down. Other coins have only charts behind them, but this one you really need to have. Most importantly fees discount (sweet idea in it's simplicity) but also holding it for VIP levels. With margin trading growing together to binance.com it's easy for it to become number 1 lending asset too.

bitcoin is the best coin to invest in, if you're looking for altcoins i think it's best to just stick with top altcoins with good reputation like ethereum, other than that it's better to invest some of your time in researching, don't trust people here throwing which coin you should invest, it's really important to do your own research so invest some time.

If you ask other cryptos that are traded besides bitcoin, then there are some altcoins that I trade. Sometimes I trade LTC, BNB, Ethereum, Doge and many other altcoins. I traded coins which roughly had the potential to rise in the following days or a few hours after that. But right now I didn't trade altcoin maybe there was about 1 month ago I stopped trading temporarily, because I was focused on bitcoin.

Go long if you don't want to trade daily which can actually be a complete nervous daily nightmare...long BTC, easy.
Remember if that will not give us a lot of profit. Long term will be less risk compared with the short term trade but when we are wanna getting more profit and we must deal with all of the risk.
I think everyone is very well known about what they are facing with. Just try to do long term with bitcoin and put small amoutns for the short term.

In this market there are thousands of altcoins so you will have lots of options. But to be able to choose good altcoins is not easy, you need to carefully research the dev team, investors, volumes, community ... of those projects. If all is well and satisfactory, you can choose and invest. Today almost all altcoins are dead and it has caused a lot of investors to crash when investing in the long term. You need to consider carefully your choice

No need to ask that since the answer for your question is already given already and that is the BTC since this top coin got more potential among other especially for this coming halving for sure it will create more demand and the potential will breakout, but if you are seeking for another one go with ETH since this old coin got also a great support and adoption these days.

for long trading, make sure you choose solid coin. bcz long trading doesnt take an specified small movement
it means you must choose top coin in coinmarketcap. let's say ETH, BNB, LTC
those are the good one in crypto, but you should still make higher proportion in Bitcoin percentage.

As for me, focusing on top coins like Eth, Xrp and Ltc would be an advantage because we'll have an assurance of gaining a good profit through it. I would prefer Ethereum because it has been consistent no matter what the market situation is so I believe that it's worth holding for a long term investment. I find it risky to invest with other altcoins especially those who aren't on the top list.

Hello people! I'm just wondering.. Aside from bitcoin, what are the other crypto that you are trading? And do you have any recommendation? Thanks in advance..
Kinda depends on what you want out of a coin isn't it? I mean if it is a high high return with high risk then you could always invest your money into some IEO that is coming out new and potentially could make you 30x of your money or lose 80% of all your money as well, you flip a coin there and hope you are right. If you want steady but surely growth over years, I am pretty sure there is no other like bitcoin, you should always consider that in your portfolio when you make one.

If you want both a bit steady but also risky, so in the middle of bitcoin and new coins, you could pick something out of top 10, however I would advise against bch, bsv, xrp, those are coins that are controversial, you can like them or hate them but having them on your portfolio will always be risky. Coins like eth, ada, dash, ltc, eos, bnb, monero would all be pretty decent ideas.

I guess if you want to hold the coin for the long term, bitcoin is the best coins that you can invest. I am not sure if you choose the altcoin will give you a big profit in the future unless you can get a very low price, so you don't have to worry about the fluctuating of the coin price. But maybe you can check on the top 10-20 coin list, and if you can buy at a low price, you can hold that coin, but you need to be careful because if bitcoin price is down, that coin will also down, and you don't know how far the price will drop.

Well maybe ethereum is a good option or some top altcoins but no one will guarantee you a time frame to make a profit from, but anyway is your choice and sometimes make take longer than you expect to make a good profit.

Hello people! I'm just wondering.. Aside from bitcoin, what are the other crypto that you are trading? And do you have any recommendation? Thanks in advance..
I am not expert, only believe with big coins in coinmarketcap. And altcoin that i hold for long term for now is ETH. Although dumped, i don't think want to sell it as long i still can make earning from my real job. Maybe i hope ETH will pumped again when bitcoin pump come.
Actually everyone is waiting for the moment of the Bitcoin Pump and one of the biggest things ahead is Bitcoin Halving, So we must ready for it. I personally also still believe in coins that are in the top 10 in coin marketcap, and I will continue to hold until their new ATH was reached again.
Some people maybe wait that bitcoin pump include me, but sometime there are other people who warn us,  hope they only want to warn us people so not really rely on bitcoin halving and when it is not like our expectation we not too dissapointed with that. Just afraid if people say that we must be careful because they only want cheap price to buy bitcoin.

I am a little bit confused, are you asking about trading coins or good alts for investment?  Both are different for me. There is no longer trading, it's hodl! For hodl purpose, after Bitcoin, you should pick the top coins like ETH, LTC, EOS, BNB, LINK, ATOM and so on! Because there is less risk. But yet you should research yourself before investing in any coins, don't follow someone's prediction, strategy, make your own!

Just like what others said dont rely with suggestions here its best to conduct your own research to have a better understanding on the particular coin. You will invest your hard earned money so be careful because anyone can suggest a coin that they want to shill.

Anyway I cant think of any coin for long term holding aside from bitcoin because its proven to be profitable if you hodl for long period. Well it depends on you which coin you prefer.

Asking question here in the forum is also another way of doing personal research about which particular altcoins or project to invest for future benefit or profit.
"Personal research", suuuuure. More like spoonfeed-me-information-even-though-there's-so-much-information-on-the-internet. If it was actually "personal research", the questions would be very specific rather than "where to put my munnyz?".

If you don't believe so, which other place should be better for one to first hand information about a particular altcoins or project.
The internet in general! Search engines like Google exists for a reason- to make research a lot easier!

And if what I said is not enough and if you still want tips,

1. Read the whitepaper
2. Do research on what the developers/companies doing concerning the project
3. General background check
4. Research on how the current supply was generated
5. etc

For a long term I have coins which I invest is bitcoin and eth. Aside from this, you can of course search which is most profitable since we have top coins in the market. Many crypto enthusiasts suggest which coins for long term but, of course, make your own judgment also.

if for the long term only Bitcoin is safer and more stable, well even though there is down a price but that is normal I guess. but if you choose Altcoin, there are several Altcoins that you might be able to trade like TRX.  at least you check in the Coinmarketcap to find popular coins and you can join their telegram group for example while monitoring the development of their products and communities
