Hello people! I'm just wondering.. Aside from bitcoin, what are the other crypto that you are trading? And do you have any recommendation? Thanks in advance..
So far, I prioritize bitcoin and ethereum. I think it is a coin that will have a very high price today. Until now, the two coins have the most recommendations in crypto trading issues, especially bitcoin because this year there will be halving soon.
besides that, I think top altcoin like XRP, BNB, BCH, LTC, Monero, and others can also be considered.

There are coins that follow Bitcoin like LTC or BCH and with those you're still better with Bitcoin. You'll get the same effect but have a safer investment.

You can also try coins that follow the trend in general but can act up like Waves. Those are more risky but can offer big profit if you get lucky and catch the pump.

Anyway, I'd stay with Bitcoin.
I'm really confident regarding the current condition right now. But I always giving my shot more on Bitcoins rather than considering altcoins even it belongs to the top altcoins. And due to the fact that investing crypto is a risky thing, we should have carefully chosen the right coin/s for either short or long-term trading. We shouldn't just focus on the price today but to look deeper of its potentiality in the future.

I wouldn't bother asking people on Bitcointalk which cryptocurrencies are worth going long on. The number of shills and delusional bag holders on this forum is unbelievable.

With that said, I recommend that you take a look at what major hedgefunds are investing in, since they have likely done the research necessary to identify whether a crypto asset looks strong over the long term.

You can normally see their portfolio spread by looking through the hedgefund spec sheet.

I will choose XRP and EOS, even look's slow but the price and volume is stable. Has stable movement become good indicator to use it based long term period, if you're expert the point is play with quantity. Long term period strategy need to see chart history about movement and developer progress, if you doing that 90% analysis journey already done, 10% rest only about choosing the right coin.

If its long term, I go for BNB and ETH. BNB so far has performed well and this company is very well managed so expect that this company will stay on top of its game since they keep on developing their exchange site and they keep on expanding to have a better reach of the market. ADA is also a good choice for long term holding.

For a huge number of altcoins existed today, definitely, it will take time for you to study them all and analyze their market performance. And for that, I'll suggest not to go deeper just choose on the top altcoins https://www.investopedia.com/tech/most-important-cryptocurrencies-other-than-bitcoin/
Don't make yourself stressed about searching cause it is just a waste of time. If you know how to read/analyze their market chart for you to easily choose the best and profitable one because that is the only way it helps you, and that is a simple tip that I could give.

No one really knows which crypto is going to be good for long term trading. The price of crypto currencies are extremely volatile. No one can predict whats going to happen to the coins in the future. Most of the price predictions are just normal guessing, that's it. The prices of crypto currencies are affected badly by almost every major events taking place in the world. Look at the recent price pump because of the events taking place between the US and Iran, but as soon as it has been declared that they are not willing to go on a war, the price started to fall once again.
Do your own research and find out for yourself which coins are actually good for long term trading. People over here will be biased towards the coins they have invested.

If you're asking which coins/tokens to have a long position in, you're pretty much just asking which coins to invest in.

Tell you what, if you don't want to exert your own effort into doing research on which projects actually could be a good long-term investment, then you probably shouldn't be doing investing in general. Do something else you're willing to actually spend time in instead.
Asking question here in the forum is also another way of doing personal research about which particular altcoins or project to invest for future benefit or profit. If you don't believe so, which other place should be better for one to first hand information about a particular altcoins or project.

Back in June 2019, you also ask the same thing here: https://bitcointalksearch.org/topic/m.51461126

More than half a year has passed, at least you should have an idea now on what coins should you choose. Not because someone got profit trading a particular coin, you will have the same experience with them. It's a matter of managing it along the way.

People have different preferences and you have to make your own.

For long term apart from the Bitcoin and ethereum I will never show the other coins in the altcoins list. We need to check the coins and value movement along with that we can see the daily fluctuating coins are really good to invest for short term.
Those coins only to make the profit and refunds for it.

if you are looking for crypto without bitcoin BNB,LTC,ETH,EOS will be best choice.Even I am trying to buy for future. But I don’t recommend coins for short term.because short term trading depends on various factor. But for long term above coins are best for me,if you can afford then make a research and buy(my opinion,Think twice before investment)

i trade all coins, so i have not favorit coins or i haven't especially coins to trade. only follow market conditions and buy the coins has good for take profit or potential to take profit in short time. my advice do not focus or  favorit with one coin because it be able to difficult to take profit, your favorit coins not all time has potential to take profit for daily

I can only think of the coins in the top 15. Besides, the other coins are not able to implement the roadmap that they have set. I feel that the new alts with lots of potential like ATOM, Tomo, Cosmos, Link, Tezos all have the potential to thrive if the market is funded. these alts will grow very strongly and now on Binance it is still traded a lot, volume more than 50 bitcoins per day. so, you can trade at Binance and make a profit.

The best cryptocurrency that are worth it for trading aside from bitcoin are BCH, XRP, and ETH because it is one of the top altcoins in the market, and they all have potential to increase it's value in the near future, even they have a bad performance last year of 2018 and 2019 it definitely still has a chance to get back it's value.

Long term trading right? Go for any of the top 10 best altcoins. XRP, Ethereum, DogeCoin, any of these should work and should fit your requirements. Though if you're going for day trading, Some may not work for you so I'd say do your research on some of them before deciding to invest. Also, might as well try and research some brand new coins that are released every now and then. If the project looks quite good, invest a bit, one that you don't really mind losing. Be careful of possible scams or dead projects that are just being revived every now and then though. Waste of time and money tbh.

Probably one of the worst advices I've read concerning trading/investing here. DogeCoin? You're pretty much asking OP to invest in a meme coin. And don't even get me started on XRP and the other "top 10" coins.
Did you read latest news about Ripple coin will delist on bigger exchange? I got headline news about Ripple give time for delsiting their coin on exchange market, bad news for trading whit Ripple coin although on the top ten coins but not guarantee for profitable and looks down on market until right now, better whit other coin like BCH and ETH.

Hello people! I'm just wondering.. Aside from bitcoin, what are the other crypto that you are trading? And do you have any recommendation? Thanks in advance..
I usually use binance for trading, so I usually buy most of the altcoins listed there. But there are a few options, I only buy altcoin with high volume for safety, and projects must be in the top 100 of coinmarketcap. Those are the safest altcoins you can trade or hold in the long term. A few examples for you to refer to such as: ETH, NEO, EOS, XRP, LTC, Matic, BNB ...

Agree with you and as per me too, as much as possible I don't keep my crypo for long, I was frustrated and have learned my lessons before, holding other top coins for a couple of month or year but not really worthy as it dumped too hard and it makes me crazy everytime I see the price, I was patient of course, but with the bear market I lose hope, so now I am not much holding long term.

I am not expert, only believe with big coins in coinmarketcap. And altcoin that i hold for long term for now is ETH. Although dumped, i don't think want to sell it as long i still can make earning from my real job. Maybe i hope ETH will pumped again when bitcoin pump come.
Actually everyone is waiting for the moment of the Bitcoin Pump and one of the biggest things ahead is Bitcoin Halving, So we must ready for it. I personally also still believe in coins that are in the top 10 in coin marketcap, and I will continue to hold until their new ATH was reached again.
