Bitcoin is the most reliable investment currency. Bitcoin has a ten-year history of development and strong technical support, and has a stable position in the crypto market. Although Bitcoin price volatility has increased, the overall price trend has been rising since its appearance, and many investors have also made huge profits.
Many altcoins on the market are based on Bitcoin. Most of them are for profit from investors. These altcoins are only suitable for short-term purchases.

When I was a newbie I only prefer bitcoin, it has a good reputation and well established in crypto market. But it is always good to put many eggs in the basket so from this time, I diversified my investment. Before that, you have to choose potential altcoins that has already proved their used in this industry like ethereum does.
It's always been good to invest only in bitcoin.

But as you grow into this market, you'll get to see the other opportunity that you might miss from pouring your eggs into another basket and that's what I did.

It's not just a random choice but you better choose the coins that are close to bitcoin.

Bitcoin is an obvious answer, but to answer even broadly, ETH is a close second when we're talking about long-term investments. There's still a lot of developments happening on this crypto lately and a lot of interest is also being poured into the said cryptocurrency, especially on its different facets and different applications. But that's just me seeing value in what these cryptocurrencies can offer. There are still a ton of other crypto to choose from although I don't think they will stack up nicely against these two.

I am a newbie who has just entered the currency circle, and I am very interested in the crypto market.
I want to try to buy some coins, but now I lack the analysis and judgment of the crypto market. Which cryptocurrency is more valuable and has appreciation potential?
Buy bitcoin, this is what you are going to see on most of the replies because bitcoin is the first and most successful crypto until now. So just invest on bitcoin if you are willing to hold the bitcoin for longer term or else go for any shitcoin with high risk to make profit or complete loss in a week or few.

Everyone will keep saying the big names, there is no way out of that. Bitcoin, ethereum, bnb, and a few like that will be the ones that will be worth something in the end and you will have to handle that.

Thats really clear why everyone wrote those names. As long as we know, BTC has 44% of total market capital, ETH has 18% of total market. Both of them, control over 50% of the market.  Who else doesn't put their name on their long term portfolio.  I'm sure he's just a new player because if he understands, BTC and ETH are obligated to enter the ranks of assets in the long-term portfolio of crypto investors.
It is only reasonable why big names are always being mentioned in the answers to this question, these big names that people are confident to suggest are what they also believe to be worth it to invest with in the long term. And these have established their ranks, and the probability of getting profit is highly and risk is less likely than others.

Bitcoin, ethereum, bnb, and a few like that will be the ones that will be worth something in the end and you will have to handle that, I know you wanted some other answer but there is no other answer to this question. So just keep your money in those big name ones if you are a newbie and you will be fine, I know it doesn't sound as great because most people want to make a huge return but it is fine to make a little return when you can instead of risking for a huge return then make nothing at all and even lose your money.

Nobody in their right mind will offer you advice that will be risky when you are looking for long term, but know that if you say long term and in 3 months you see 50% drop in price and get scared and sell that means you were not ready for long term, it happens and you have to still wait it out.

Bitcoin and Ethereum would be the best investment for beginners in crypto rather than taking risks in new altcoins. These two are good for long-term investment and their profitability has been visible for years. Just learn how to deal with top coins first before trying to deal with the volatility of other altcoins.

bitcoin and ethereum because they are both established proof of worth and blockchain. They have also list of projects using bitcoin and ethereum networks. And also some altcoins like Binance, Cardano, XRP, polkadot and uniswap. because they have potential to be like bitcoin and ethereum. because these altcoins have the capabilities that bitcoin and ethereum do not have.

I believe bitcoin will be suit a long-term investment. People who joined in cryptocurrency will agree that they will try to buy as many bitcoins as possible, especially if the bitcoin price is down a lot. But you should know that bitcoin has volatility and many people are already losing their money because they panic and do not think that they only need to hold their bitcoin. I hope after you buy bitcoin for the first time, you need to hold on to your bitcoin tight and do not panic if the price is down because that will be your chance to buy more bitcoin.

If you can hold your bitcoin for more, I am sure you will profit in the future. You can see bitcoin history and bitcoin price already hit $64k as the new ATH this year. The price can increase and hit the next ATH anytime so you need to prepare yourself.

the most important for my personal long-term investment is bitcoin. because bitcoin seems to be the parent of other coins. and to get more profit I choose to invest in ethereum, which seems to be a companion to bitcoin. but I suggest to sell it when the bullrun occurs, and buy back when the bearish occurs.

It's better to invest in multiple coins like you already did than to invest in just one coin,
I think by investing in some coins the opportunity to get a bigger profit as long as the coin we choose is really potential,
the most important thing before investing we must do research on coins so that we don't make the wrong choice
I agree but I have to say that before diversifying, as a beginner, you should be focusing on coin with the biggest potential of them all before diversification because you first have to increase your capital before diversifying, you can skip this though if you have a lot of money.

It's important, first learn about the movement and development of market prices and examine price trends, what is worth learning is of course the top coins that have long had strong prices on market developments, Bitcoin & Ethereum. Should not be too much, it's good to make this as another investment with some, make it an alternative/complementary income side of your activities.

If you want to invest in Bitcoin, then you can do it without much of research. Because it is almost guaranteed that Bitcoin will give good returns in the long run. But the same can't be said about the altcoins. Out of the 10,000-15,000 altcoins in existence now, I don't expect more than 100-200 to survive in to the long term. So you need to be cautious before investing in the alts. Even investing in an established altcoins such as Ethereum or Cardano will not give guarantee that in the future they will remain relevant.

You're a newbie in crypto so its better to take time gaining knowledge first to understand how to choose a good coin and how to prevent ending up investing in shitcoins.

Anyway In my portfolio I have bitcoin, eth and bnb. These coins has potential and profitable for long term investment. However it doesnt guarantee a sure profit because there's always risk and the market is unpredictable. Thats why conducting your own research is a must, its not advisable to rely your decision based on other people's suggestions.

Newbies who have just entered the currency circle still choose some mainstream coins, which are suitable for long-term holding, and there are more short-term altcoins, but I am very optimistic about HTMoon. I plan to hold it for a long time. I believe it will bring surprises to me in the future.

For long term investment, say two to three years, then it is advisable to invest in Bitcoin or Ethereum.  Such investments are 'safer' on the long run compared to altcoins. At least, you should do this until you've have learnt what it means to trade and trade successfully.
If however you are looking at short term gain, then the best thing to do is to trade altcoins. Altcoins can move 2x or 3x in a few months unlike bitcoin. You, however, should be careful because there are so many coins out there with no potential.

I put most of my money on bitcoin and the 10% or so in some chosen potential coins like ETH, AXS, SLP and Polkadot. Although it's not a lot, I am happy that I have a diverse investment even if it's just a little.
