What do people think? Is it better to invest, say, 100 dollars in ether or bitcoin?
In my opinion both coins are the top coins so which ever one you invested in would be good but the amount you intend to invest is the question and what you will be looking for when you want to invest in this case is no longer if this two coins are good to invest in but which will bring back a 1x or 2x of investment which I would say in current market price, ethereum seem the likely one.

If yoy are planning to invest your funds in a long term basis I think both token are good to invest with. However seeing the bitcoin price in the market I think your 100$ has a better opportunity if you invest it to Ethereum because its much cheaper.

Both of the coin that you chooses are good to invest with especially these are the top 2 rank cryptos in the market and if you want to hodl it for a long term basis they are the right coin for you. However if you are just here for a short term investment better to do your research in NFT tokens because that is the trend as of this year and I don't think that ETHER and Bitcoin is beneficial for you in just a short term run.
Bitcoin and ethereum are very different asset class, while bitcoin is the first digital currency to be created, ethereum is a smart contracts that host other cryptocurrency projects. As an investment coin, i would choose ethereum over bitcoin because ethereum has the potential to give more return on investment than bitcoin.
I think it is wrong to compare ethereum and Bitcoin. And that is because they serve different purposes bitcoin is created to serve as a digital currency why they major function of ethereum is for the tokenization of different projects so you should not compare them.

Some investors sees BTC as a more secure and stable investment option but i personally believe that ethereum still has more room for growth and offers a lot more potential future returns so i will go for ethereum over BTC any day.

if I have a capital of $ 100 then I will buy bitcoin so that I can sell and buy directly to get a quick profit. because Bitcoin movement in the exchange market is faster than Ethereum and Bitcoin Volume is bigger than Ethereum. so I think Bitcoin is better than Ethereum.
Agree, bitcoin is better than ethereum in value. If we see the history of bitcoin price, of course we would buy bitcoin.
But ethereum has smart contract, so people can automate things in cryptocurrency thanks to that. Other than price and volume, what makes bitcoin is better than ethereum in your opinion ?

In terms of market liquidity, yes bitcoin is the best. A comparison is no longer needed for these two, everyone will agree that bitcoin is better and not just better but best in all of the crypto markets.Ethereum has its quality and it's also preferred by many investors because it's 2nd to the list.

these assets have a sizeable volume on the market and are traded in many large markets. there is no big risk for us to be faced with a scam. but with a small investment, I think it would be better to enter those assets at a nominal price.
Both coins have its own values. Bitcoin is the pioneer of cryptocurrency, it's makes awareness of blockchain technology. Ethereum exist to complete it with smart contract. If you ask for better, I can really say which is better. But if you try to invest, just buy them both. I am sure it's worth it.
In concept, bitcoin and ethereum are different. but for investment both are the best options and many people have invested up to now. I think this is not a worthy comparison. Cause they both are fundamentally very much different from each other. Bitcoin is the first St blockchain based crypto and at this point it has a huge marketcap. And now many institutions take bitcoin as a asset class. In other hand ethereum is contract based platfrom with a great community and dev groups. It is one of the most popular platform based token with many use cases. They both serve different path and they both are very important for this whole crypto community.
For now I should say bitcoin is better cause like it or not Bitcoin is still the pioneer of all, people believe in bitcoin so much. Bitcoin is the measure. Although the functionality is still should be asking, like the high of the fees and clogged network. Bitcoin now is far worse from its before. More people know about Bitcoin, the mining difficulty becomes increasing, the scarcity also higher, the network becomes more crowded, the fees more expensive. Many issues haven't been solved. On the other side, ethereum with the smart contract is better in functionality, although they should also fix their own issues. I will invest in ethereum when all of this issues been solved. Until then, bitcoin it is.
You can choose bitcoin and ethereum to invest in and it doesn't matter if you have small capital because you can add back when you have money, and it will increase gradually and most importantly you buy at the right time.

Although they have different cases and goals, ETH and BTC are both good investments since they're the two biggest cryptocurrencies by market capitalization. But if it goes down to which is better, I would say that it is bitcoin. Bitcoin is more stable and has the highest demand. Because of this bitcoin's value grows over time. It has the potential to spike beyond 50k$. The only downside is that it is a long waiting game, it took 2 years for bitcoin to go from 4k$ to 50k$.
At the moment I believe that it is better to buy etherium no bitcoin, bitcoin surely will go down soon and start correcting. Just take a look at yearly chart of bitcoin, the jump is absurd - straight up, vertical price action. ETH in the same time has been overlooked because of their transaction fees, it has more room to grow
If bitcoin goes down then Ethereum will follow its lead. Ethereum and the other altcoins are always going wherever bitcoin is going. Just as you notice, when it pumps, ETH and the others are pumping as well.That's why whenever it's going down, you're also expecting that the other altcoins like ETH will also come down as bitcoin goes down.

Well, the lowest I've seen for ETH on its last cycle during the bear market was $70-$80. 
It's very hard to compare. I always invested in ETH then I bought BTC. Just because I was buying ETH based tokens. One and a second investment will be good ...
Hello dear, i want tell you that Bitcoin and Etherium both is Very good coin for investment, you can invest here for Long or Short time investment, if you invest your fund on Currect time then you can make profit from Bitcoin and ETH.
It's because you have only $100 I will suggest to you to buy an ethereum so why this coin because the price of the ether is more cheaper so it chances to double the price unless the bitcoin the price is very high already so it's hard to become two times in the amount of value right now and it takes longtime before it's double unlike the coins who possible more than 2 times the value.
