i feel that quitting when i lose is much easier than quitting when i win. because when i lose, i don't get what i want to get, so quitting at that time is not so difficult for me since i no longer have the desire to spend more money. but when i win, that's the challenge, because the desire to play until i get more money becomes even greater. it feels like my ego forces me to be able to play and get that jackpot, and that's what makes quitting when i win much more difficult for me.

That's called greed, because you will continue to bet when you win because you think you still have a chance to get more. But, about stopping when losing I think it's also not that easy or maybe, the factor about still having money will make you continue to make deposits. After all, when greed has become a disease in yourself, then even if you bet with the money that has been prepared and then lose but one side you still have other money that was not previously prepared to bet. So if you are greedy,  you will of course make another deposit because you think you will be able to retrieve the money you lost earlier. So, in this case it is about self-control and not being greedy that will make it easy to stop gambling.

When winning the excitement and desire to continue can be strong which makes it difficult to stop. Quitting when losing can be equally challenging due to the hope of recovering losses and the fear of missing out on potential winnings.

The ease of quitting depends on an gamblers self control, mindset and understanding of the risks involved in gambling.

Yes what you said is true regarding what are the possibilities that can happen in these two situations between winning and losing, anything can happen but it all depends on whether they will be able to control themselves and their mindset or not, while we know how the behavior of someone who has entered the addiction phase.

What this means is that in any situation, win or lose, the act of quitting will only be easy for gamblers who are not addicted, because an addicted gambler obviously cannot control themselves so that they can enter the addiction phase, so I would say that quitting when winning or losing is only easy when a gambler is not addicted, or has full control over themselves.
Control and moderation would really be the key on here on which on the moment that you have lost that control then you would really be ending up on having that devastation when it comes into your finances and this is something that must be avoided on the moment that you would really be dealing up with gambling. Winning or losing then it would really be that always the main results or outcome
on gambling field. It wont really be that necessary to quit if you are really just that playing gambling for the sake of fun and not for making income because this is where people do usually derailed themselves when it comes to this manner on which you would really be messing up your finances if you would really be that making yourself that delusional towards gambling.
Dont play for making income but rather for entertainment then you would really be that safe on that part.

Winning or quitting depends on the gambler understanding about gambling, because if you don't want to quit the game because you are winning, you are only being carried away with your greed and when you feel that it is hard for you to quit, losses with help you quit the game when you don't have any bankroll left.

Losing is also something that those who are not gambling with little amount of money will find difficult to do, because they want to win back their losses and it will lead them to more losses or an empty bankroll. Quitting is very important in gambling whether we like it or not because we cannot gamble when we don't have bankroll anymore, so the early you quit the better for you.

$100 --> $500 I will stop and leave a little money in the account to continue playing and if the remaining money runs out will stop and come back another day.

$100 --> $10 then I will continue to play until it runs out because with a 90% loss it is certain that there is an emotional feeling so it is better to make it than to leave a little money, like yesterday I ran out of $50 and left $10 then with a desire to satisfy then I spent it no matter what after that.
The truth is, it is always very difficult to make withdrawals especially if you're on the lucky side for the day and most times, it takes actual commitment and discipline to be able to withdraw ones winnings because there are always hopes and believes of wanting to make more money which at some points leads to even more greater losses.
A true winning for the day is after a withdrawal, as I always tell people that, no matter how much you win from a casino, if there is no withdrawal, then there is no actual winning.

According to your second paragraph, it seems we're in same boat as most times if I get to loss over 80% of my  deposit, I always get to continue the game even if I get to loss the rest

This is a similar subject as when if it's easier to sell a stock when you're up, or is it easier to sell a stock when it's down.  I had always though that it's much easier to cut my losses when things are down, than it is to walk away when things are looking up.  So for me when it comes to gambling, it's much easier to just walk away than it is to walk away from winning or a hot streak.  Both are difficult, don't get me wrong.

Quite impressive gambling discussion from you OP.

So clearly, assuming my gambling resultants has affected my bankroll either on decrease or increase and had to make decision to quit, honestly speaking, it is better to quit when you have losts especially beyond affordability and have utilization plans with your little balance than to quit when you have made winings and your wager secured.

But being realistic, you will be so tempted to gamble with the least remaining balance to either have it a case closed if you lost it all or trying to recover your losts.
So, quitting when you have made profits is easier than when loosing.

That should not be too difficult to quit gambling after they can increase their bankroll from $100 to $500 because not many people can do that and gets the big luck. I considers that's a big luck for someone who can wins much money such as $500. If he still keeps playing gambling, that will be stupid for him because he can gets $400 wins and he doesn't have to keeps playing gambling.
Obviously, it is not easy for one to gain a profit of 500% of their bankroll. Even 50% or 100% is enough for a person to quit gambling for the day. Some people just make 10% profit and they are done for the day. Just like i have said anyone who refuses to quit with this amount is really greedy.

Think of this in another way. Have a situation where a gambler lost the money, and now he has no more money to gamble. In that case, he will have to forcefully quit because he has no more funds to gamble.
Now in this case, the gambler after winning many X's profit, may continue to gamble (because he has money in his bankroll), if he is liking the game and believing more on his luck.

To be honest, only those people will quit, who have a prior plan otherwise they will just ride the profits to gamble more and then losing it all in the end.  Sad

It’s just kind of difficult to stop gambling when you are losing and when you are winning. When we are gambling and winning, we will always want to keep on gambling just to increase the amount that we have won, until things go wrong and we start losing back all the amount that we have won. Most gamblers are always losing back the amount they have won just because they keep on gambling when they are supposed to stop.

When losing money from gambling, most people do feel bad, and they will always try to win back the amount they have gambled with before they stop gambling, but when they are doing that, they will end up losing more money. So when gambling, if you are not disciplined, you will find it difficult to stop gambling.
Indeed, most people continue to play at the gambling table, yes this goes back to the individual of each gambler. Yes, in this case we should control ourselves or be disciplined in playing, if we lose control we can be sure that the profits we have obtained little by little will be drained by themselves. Personally, I will stop if I get enough profits and of course I enjoy what I earn at that time, and I don't want to force myself to play again, there is still tomorrow to play.

I know that as gamblers, everyone can relate to this question, as we have surely experienced it in real situations.

Suppose our bankroll is $100 and it has already grown to $500, would you quit or continue? Conversely, if with our bankroll, we are down to $10, would you still continue or save the remaining $10? I used specific amounts to make it easier to discuss this situation. I understand that we all gamble with different amounts based on our income, but consider this as an example. You can mention any amount you want based on your personal experience; it doesn't matter.

Non of this is easy, it is very difficult to quit when a gambler is losing unless you are that kind of gambler that understands the principle of gambling and apply it as it is in all your gambling sessions, once you comprehend that gambling works in such a way that is either you lose or you win, you wouldnt get bothered if any of these happen, althiugh gambling has its own control over individuals, when a gambler luck shine, he or she will like to go for more and i attribute this to greed, if you are a greedy gambler once you win your next option will be to multiply your wining and thats where addiction comes in because when you lose all your winning, you will want to look for a way to get fund to retrive your loss and as so doing you will continue to swim in the game if care is not taken you may become a chronic gambler.
There is one thing I know about gambling which is, once a gambler start chasing loss or trying to multiply his or her winning, it will take time for such gambler to win again, these are principle we need to be conversant with, don't gamble with greed, know when to rest, control your emotions and continue later.

To answer your question, it is easier to quit when winning than to quit when losing. When losing you would want to see if you can recover your money back at least up to your bankroll. Whenever you are winning and you have made good profit of 50% of your bankroll this excitement comes and it makes you quit and take your winning happily. However, only responsible gamblers can be satisfied and make such a profit the greedy ones might feel it is a good day for them and that they should continue gambling. If such person loses both the bankroll and the profit, he has made previously because of greedy then he got what he deserved.

That should not be too difficult to quit gambling after they can increase their bankroll from $100 to $500 because not many people can do that and gets the big luck. If his money down to $10, he must quit gambling because that  is a big lose for him and if he keeps playing gambling, he can lose all of his money and he can playing gambling for the next days unless he deposits more money. That's what I will do if I can wins $500 from gambling because I will not lets that $400 by keeps playing gambling because I can guess that I can lose all of that money. I will not lets my greediness telling me to keeps playing gambling and I will choose to stops playing gambling immediately before something bad happens to me.

        -   You know it's actually easy to quit gambling, whether you win or lose, when you don't have any greediness that builds up in your personality as a gambler. I have done that several times.
When I win $50,, I immediately take out the $30, leave the $20, and come back another day because there is no greed in my personality.

But if from the beginning you have greed in your person as a gambler in a casino, for sure you will have a hard time quitting whether you are winning or losing a large amount.
Maybe that's something you should pay attention to, because if there is no greed, gambling can be stopped easily. There are not many people like you who can control themselves in gambling by controlling their emotions and greed. because in my opinion more people who gamble tend to be impatient, they are often greedy and can't control themselves, especially when they win, they definitely have thoughts of continuing to gamble. Apart from that, we can just stop gambling if we feel bored.
Cashing out some of your winnings is something you have to do if you still want to gamble, but the good thing is to withdraw all the winnings you have earned, but it comes back to you, whether you withdraw all of it or some of it. But if you still want to gamble, we can do as you did by cashing out some of the winnings you have earned, and don't get carried away when the remaining balance has run out. When the remaining balance is used up, you should stop not putting money back in to continue gambling.

If I can grow my money from $100 into $500, I will stops gambling immediately. That will difficult for me to make that much money so I will not takes too long to quit gambling. If I continue for playing gambling, I feels that I can lose maybe half or even all of the money so stops from playing gambling is the best thing for me.

I will not lets myself playing gambling too long until my money down to $10 because when I lose for some money $30 from $100, I will quit gambling. I will not still playing gambling because that can makes me lose much money. I only see what happens to me so I can thinks what I needs to do.

Quit when winning should be easier than quit when losing because when you lose, your minds will tells you to keeps gambling. You will not see the reality that you already lose for some money but you wants to recover your lose. We already see many people lose much money from gambling because they forgets to limits themselves and not use gambling for make money.

I always prepare the money and time that I have set, for example I prepare $20 to gamble and 30 minutes to play it turns out the money has doubled to $40 then I will stop and don't try to play again beyond the time that has been prepared. Don't try to continue the game even though inside you want a bigger win but for me continuing to gamble will only make our winnings disappear, so if the time we set is up it's best to immediately stopped.

On the other hand, if the $20 that has been set has run out but there are still 30 minutes remaining, then I will also stop without waiting for the time to run out because we have prepared money with a nominal value that has been set so there is no need to make a deposit to waste time.

We need to exercise self-discipline so that when we win or lose it is easy for us to stop gambling, so don't put too much hope in gambling. If we win, we must be grateful and immediately stop without expecting more, but if we lose, we also have to accept it.

However, I confess that the maximum winning limit is a problem for me.
If I start playing with $100 and reach $500, I will hardly be able to stop playing, because the adrenaline is a very strong factor in controlling it.

What has worked for me is to realize the profits and immediately withdraw part of that amount.
In other words, if I reach a balance of $500, I will withdraw half of it to my personal wallet and continue playing with the other half.
If I multiply that amount again, I will make a new withdrawal. This allows me to continue playing in favor of the tide of luck but without the risk of losing everything I have already won.
The biggest nightmare and worst risk of it all is that one single trigger you need to get the ambition and adrenaline to risk more than you generally would.  If you have a limit that you impose, it takes only ONCE to go past it and your entire life may be screwed in a matter of minutes.  Even seconds maybe.

I know of people who did it before.  You set a limit.  Say 100 Dollars balance means 80 percent is Withdrawn, 20 stays.  But you decide to bypass the mental limit only once and risk the full 100 Dollars balance.  And whether you lose OR win it, it could easily trigger an unstoppable spree of loss.

You double the 100 and now have 200?  How easy that was!  Imagine if you never Withdrew all that Money and risked it all and doubled it!  Imagine 1000 Dollars doubled, not just 100!  Considering how easy it was, how about doubling the 200 now just as easy?

You lost the 100 and now have nothing to Withdraw?  Now you feel like you achieved nothing for the day, so how about you deposit 20 more Dollars to at LEAST double it and stop just so you know you did SOMETHING for the day?

But what happens if you lose the 20 too?  Do you deposit 40 now so you can make for the loss?

This is how many people ruin their lives.

I think it’s definitely more common to quit when you’re losing. Not because people choose to quit when they’re losing, but because there comes a point when you just can’t gamble anymore. I personally have no problem quitting when I’m ahead. The problem for me is usually getting ahead in the first place.

So, I play with very well-established limits.
So, I only deposit what I am willing to lose into the casino and, before I start playing, I decide how much I am going to spend on game A or B. That way, I always play until my balance is zero.

However, I confess that the maximum winning limit is a problem for me.
