Actually, both trading and investing are good. It's depend on which one you are good at, but i prefer pick trading than investing. Because i know about trading than investing.

Correct both are good but to trade people need to have some knowledge in it otherwise they may lose money quickly. I also do both but less trading and more investing. Diversifying our investments are better because it will reduce our losses if any one investment fails.

Trading and investing is both good but it is risky because we don't know if the investment sites are legit .
you can do trading and investing at the same time , make your money put half 50-50% .on both of it ,but if i am you i will put my investment on my bitcoin wallet and the other is on trading .trading is much profitable especially if you pick the right altcoins to trade on it will return a big income for you.

In my minds the trading is a part of the investing tree because I think doing a trading it's same means with investing your money in investing place, and comparing with the another trading is always becoming the best way in every time and the percentage of the people is loss in trading is more lower with the another but that is from the personally, but if trying for evaluating from the big cases the result will be different.

I reckon trading if you know what you are doing-then it's definitely the better option to choose.
Trading gives you the ability to learn a lot about the market which is really useful so you'll get better over time.
All in all, trading can also result in better profits

If i had that amount i personally would have invested that amount on trading altcoins and for that i use yobit exchange where i faced no problems yet, i suggest trading because i have no trust on any other investment sites or platforms and i know i can make good profits through trading.

It's all about personal reference but I'd rather invest into a casino's bankroll than trades seeing that I don't trust the exchanges to not get "hacked". Sure the casino can turn scam as well but it's about finding the ones that aren't scams(Crypto-games is a good choice). I suggest you do your due diligence when investing/trading though.

Trading is much better. Investing may lead to scam sometimes, so in order to make your btc safe trading is the best way.
Hope this will help.

Trading is not very far from gambling essentially. In online gambling (e.g. dice) you play against the house, but the house has what is appropriately called a house edge, therefore you are predetermined to lose in the end, despite the typical claims of being "provably fair" (those who strongly disagree may want to look for the dictionary and search what the term "fair" actually means). In trading, it is pretty much the same with the only significant difference being that you de facto play against those who have what I would call a market edge. Among these are, for example, exchanges front-running your orders, arbitrageurs front-running your prices, and insiders of all kinds and types, who are just happy to strip you off of your money...

And just like you can't win over the house in the long run, it is impossible to prevail over those who milk the market in every possible way

there is also another huge difference which is also an important difference between gambling and trading and that is the amount you lose on your gambles versus the amount you lose in trading

This is only a quantitative difference which is in fact half-true per se, since its validity depends on other factors. If you trade on margin (which is a typical way of trading), your account may be wiped out just as fast, effectively in only one considerable price swing (if you fail to cut your losses in time). On the other hand, when gambling you can wager only a small amount at a time in respect to the size of your account...

So it is practically six of one and half a dozen of the other

I'm not a really big fan of trading, but sometimes I do. You have to have experience to do that propperly otherwise you can end up losing parts of your coins. So for me trading is learning.
Investing? No, too many of those investment opportunities are just scams where you can lose all your coins.
I'm more the keeping guy. I have my little stack of bitcoins I consider to be my investment.
And if I need some for a purchase, I buy them shortly before the actual purchase where I want to use them as payment.

First of all, you have to clarify what you really mean by "trading" or "investing". I know these terms are used often and everybody seems to understand what they mean, but if you take a closer look, these are not that easy to distinguish. Especially in the Bitcoin sphere I would consider many "investments" pure speculation (and hence trading) since the funds were provided with no or very limited research on the matter and are not buying real equity of a company but mostly dubious high-yield bonds with no or insufficient underlying security.

If you want my advice on obtaining more Bitcoin: Try find a job or sell goods and services for Bitcoin. Or buy Bitcoin from fiat money you've earned. Don't "invest" or "trade", it is not worth the risk. The probability to get scammed is just too high. Just holding Bitcoin is enough, because the buying power of Bitcoin will most likely increase significantly due to its limited supply.

ya.ya.yo!
Both ways are good to make money but you need to know how to use both because investments is for a long term and trades can be maked everyday or twice a day what you want.

in gambling to make profit on your money you have to bet it all in and if you lose, you will lose it all in one bet.

but in trading you go all in but you can get out even at a loss but never lose "all" but instead you lose a little depending on when you get out.

It depends on what kind of investment do you preferred. If you will make it as an investment, make sure you really like well that kind of investment. But regarding to your statement about "trusted site", it looks like your only known investment is by investing it in a site like hyip or ponzi investment. Well stay away from them.

I want you to entered the world of trading. Your capital is worth enough to try this kind of method to earn bitcoin. Yes it's not for beginners but all traders came from a beginner one. As soon as you are building experience, you will improved yourself in trading.

How to start? Well first how you know well when you hear the term "trading"?
Trading and investing can both be good because i know how both works and what i do know is that trading is more difficult but can make faster money instead of investing that can take longer.

They are both good in their different ways. IMO they are both risky but with trading you manage the risk yourself and with investing you are kind of dependant on what you invest in. So I would choose for trading purely because you have more power and more control on how much money you make and or lose.

Both is good, but it's can't be compared, because you getting your profit with trading just now, investing is for people who will recive their money in future.
i agree on this, also in addition trading make you good profit when you know what you are doing and you know where to stop and go. while putting in investment program many site are now just a bunch of scam but if your investing your money on creating your own business then we are talking Good investment.

Both is good, but it's can't be compared, because you getting your profit with trading just now, investing is for people who will recive their money in future.

Just remember, trading is also an investment because you put your money into it to earn some profit out of it. Then its all the same but there are lots of investment which they differ some may gain profit for a long time or in a short time basis. You can choose freely on what investment would you like just  be careful on choosing the right one.

I only trade bitcoin with good altcoins. So if I buy the Ethereum, for example, its price drops against bitcoin, but it still rises against dollar.

Me too, i also earn bitcoin by trading it altcoins. I trade litecoins and dogecoins which have really good future. I don't trade those coins showing nowadays which most of them (but not all) are definitely scams. The only plan of the developer of that coin is to get bitcoin from traders. They just pump few times amd dumps their coin and run away.

You are correct there are lots of altcoins as of now and  its really confusing to choose a potential one, same as you said almost coins are just  scam coins which is really a waste of money.  Back to the topic trading and investing are just the same i think hence you are putting your own money  on doing trading.

Both were mutually required, because upon trading users can earn high as well end in loss depending upon price fluctuations. At the same time investing gives assured return but the time period required is very long.

Investing bitcoin is quite high risk at the moment. There are too many scam sites out there. It is better to hold.

Well the OP has asked, whether it is good to invest or trade bitcoin, and he has not given an option to hold as you suggested  Wink

For me, trading is a better choice
