Everyone that are investing in an ico would be people who are still have  a faith in cryptocurrency, and also they knew how to properly choose which project that are good to invest on.

there are lots of interesting things from each project, starting from the rewards they offer up to some reviews conducted by some trusted forums, who won't be interested? ICO which already has a good rating, will surely get more attention

In ICO, those who plan to make money for a long time invest. Today, if you want to make money fast, then ICO is not for you. Recently, I have not seen a single project that would grow in a short period of time.

If you get 3x 5x ROI after your ico investments, you would also participate in icos. I was earning that much in the first quarter of this year, however now market is shit ao do icos. At the moment is not good for participating an ico but I will continue invest in them later.

I don’t know how a newbie learns so much in a few period of time
But I think you need to take a chill pill
And make decisions for yourself
Neglect other people’s opinion just take few lessons from it

Maybe they are not newbies at all? they can be an alt account of a legendary or a hero one! Just saying something that can be possible in the forum, So they can join in multiple bounty or signature campaign But I really think that rankings don't really matter anyone can sure learn and research Cryptocurrency and invest in them right? what if that newbie is richer than you? He could always invest in an ICO whatever he wants, Just look at the facts that anything can really happen in this forum and don't lead yourself in judging others about their rank in the forum because they might know a lot than what you think.

I agree with the creator of the topic, now there are really a lot of fraudulent projects and it is very difficult to choose a good one. I have been investing in various projects for about a year and a half and I have formed requirements for them.
1. At preICO, the team must have a contract for automatic transfer of funds with prescribed conditions for early investors - not handles as many do, namely written in a smart contract - otherwise the funds raised may simply enrich the founders or conditions will change during the play - lots of cases.
2. A contract for preICO should be part of a large contract for ICO - not with different coins - it is not safe in terms of vulnerabilities and defrauding.
3. The contract for preICO and then ICO must have a lower and upper barrier - if the team does not have it, it does not know what it wants, just scam.
4. The contract for ICO must have escrow funds received as a result of the placement - this can be a frieze or multisig with the condition of voting. This will give you a guarantee against using up funds earlier than the team completed the previous stage.
5. The contract must be spelled out an unconditional refund in case of not reaching the lower limit of the pool. It is in the contract and not in the white paper if this is not the case - a scam.
6. All contracts must be posted on GithHub. This will allow third-party developers to check the contract for vulnerabilities if the team did not take care and before the ICO did not put a bounty on the vulnerabilities.
7. The contract must contain the conditions for the team and for the bounty.
8. The contract must specify the conditions for not sold tokens - with clearly defined terms.
9. The project must have partnership agreements with large corporations or foundations.
10. On the official website of the project should be specified contact information to team members. It is desirable accounts in social networks.
11. Someone of their team members should actively communicate in the official telegram channel of the project
Here are a few of my requirements. If you have something to add, then I will be very happy!

Most of the icos now are facing touvh times to raise their target amount of funds but as the market conditions improve and overall market becomes bullish we will see icos picking up again too, so it is just a matter of time, icos are still very popular among investors to make multifold profits in good market.

Those people that are interested in the project, relatives of the owner, those people that believe in the project that will boom someday. Those were the people that invests in their projects.

I don’t know how a newbie learns so much in a few period of time

So, why do you think he is a newbie in crypto world? Just see his rank in this forum. Almost potential investors in this forum, but not ALL.

I know that most of todays traders are here just to make a quick buck...

I think you should call them "investors". Traders earn their profits from trading, not in investing.

Who is investing in those ICO's, what is the one thing that lures the todays investors into investing in a certain project?

As I know, almost really potential projects have their existing partners, which is the companies or organizations. And these partners ready to invest a part or all tokens which are sold in pre-sale or private sale, even helps this ICO reach the soft cap instantly. Because it will ensure this project will be implemented. In addtion to attract other investors because this ICO has already reached the soft cap.

But about the not-potential projects, I think there will be investors who believe in these projects and invest in it. Maybe it has a long time to reach the soft cap or even fail.

About what is thing that attract investors? I do not know because everyone has their mind. Personally, I will notice their team + advisors and the solutions.

I think many people are still interested in ICO's. One colleague of mine invested in Node Power ICO and he says he still has faith that he can make it big in that particular company. Well i would normally say good luck because many bounty hunters are not getting any luck in bounties lately.

Are you sure that the softcap is real? I myself am not sure of that, many projects cannot prove their wallets, when someone asks for proof of their achievements, always with the same reasons about the security or privacy of investors. I myself have lost trust in most projects,

currently "falsifying achievement is a new way in the ICO"  Roll Eyes Roll Eyes

Everybody takes part in the ICO process, today it is possible, but the most important thing that has confused many people lately is the KYC process, because there are a lot of situations when the documents ended up on the black market

I know that most of todays traders are here just to make a quick buck, they dont care about the project, or the idea behind the project, they just want "PUUUPM" and "MOOOON". And with all the scam ICO's that we had in the past( my personal favorite BitConneeeeect) people have lost faith in ICO's. But still new ICO's and new ideas are being published every day, I've seen on some projects that i'm following that they reached their soft or hardcap, but what triggers my mind is: Who is investing in those ICO's, what is the one thing that lures the todays investors into investing in a certain project?
This world has 7 billion people so do you think that few projects per day will not get enough investors? In this world the best form of money making is not doing usiness it is the investment where we don't do much work other than research so lot of people are ready to invest if they think that project value will be more but now a days lot of projects were worth none so they are not reaching the cap value.

Blame the bonuses as early participants of an ICO. I have participated in some ICO some that I were backed by several people who are in the cryptosphere for a long time and have gained reputation already. If you have gone on youtube and watch some people there who reviews ICO, you got to be checking why they said something good  about an ICO that you haven't read in the forum.  I don't have much ETH but it kept me alive after sending some to invest to  a project like EOS. Who doesn't?

But besides the bonuses, what are people looking for when they want to invest in an ICO,I see that you are also wearing their signature, what is acctually a semi-decentralized exchange?

I'm kinda sceptic about youtube, people get paid to promote ICO's and projects, they can share the idea of the project, but its paid advertizing actually, and people are ready to do anything for money

The correct answer should be ico traders if you don't know about that and i suggest you join in the santiment channel discussion and there was a lot of people are talking about ico and which is ico that will give a uge potential a big return instantly. I have been following this case from a few years ago.

Could you please provide me with the link, i'm really interested in the whole concept of tokenizing an idea, and how to "lure" people to invest and help someone achieve something big

One thing you should understand is the fact whether in a bears or bulls market condition, there will still be investors in projects, and these are the guys that keep the space alive. They have their various strategies put in place for their investments. The fact that Bitconnect, a ponzi scheme and ultimately a scam was your best project says a lot. Could be that what lures the current people is what lured you into bitconnect at the time despite all the warnings.
