IMHO, there's really no age bracket on who are the most vulnerable because all of us can be on that situation. But for as long as we're responsible and we know ourselves better, we can't be part of that bracket.

Those that are emotional and have lesser strength to control themselves and emotions, they're very prone in being a gambling addict.
I do not equate maturity with age but we can not deny that kids are less likely to make mature decisions compared to adults

Or at least we would not expect them to be wise since they have no sense of responsibility and financial management just yet meanwhile adults or at least the functioning ones would know the importance of controlling oneself. It is good for us to sometimes treat ourselves and do something we enjoy but we always go back to being responsible which kids might not want to do ever.

Do you think a 15 year old would care about the consequences of his actions? No because he is not thinking of his future yet but adults are already living the present they need to protect. There are only rare cases where adults are less sensible than kids and might be more vulnerable to falling addicted.

I don't think the propensity to be addicted to gambling depends on age or financial status. Both rich and poor people can chase after winnings, and some teenagers are much wiser than gray-haired stricks. In my opinion, the issue of gambling addiction depends on the psychological profile of each individual and the level of education. The higher the level of education of a person the less likely that he will become gambling addicted, of course, provided that there are no psychological problems, which in fact are observed in most of us.

No matter how psychologically we're impacted with our needs and situation and how we're seeing the solutions through gambling, we have to understand that not at all times it's going to be the solution.

Because of life circumstances and the search for wealth to be able to provide for the family, men are the ones who are victims of vulnerability to gambling.

Being lonely and not being busy can make one vulnerable to gambling because when the mind and body are not occupied with something tangible like work, what fills it in is the thought of how to be rich easily and fast without stress.

Other individuals who fall to gambling vulnerabilities are those who are divorced or have relationship issues. Those kinda people can choose to gamble to fill up the vacuum of hurt they feel inside so that they can be relieved and be able to let go of the hurt they feel
Not representative to all male individuals I guess especially on the part of coping up with loneliness and being vulnerable. Also, I don't really look at gender differences, or its relevance with this activity simply because gambling is just an activity. You have in control of your decisions in life inside and outside this industry perhaps whether letting oneself become addicted or to maintain focus and diligence of your own potential mistakes. Loss is more constant than anything else thus, it should automatically be a warning for us to be cautious of our bets. Same goes with other problems one may tackle 'coz bottomline is; you could be engaging to other activities perhaps sports and social relations.

We are choosing gambling for a reason of our own and doesn't really need to be related to other things. We are just associating things due to the image of gambling industry. Reasons such as profit or just drive to be entertained by thrill and risk, that's solely dependent to us without a doubt. Nothing's wrong as long as we're being responsible of our gambling activities.

The most vulnerable to falling into a gambling addiction is adolescents aged 12-18 especially if they can not control themselves in gambling. We can see what happens to those kids in the gaming that install on their smartphone. They will forget what they must do including doing their homework and when they are with their friends, they also forget to go home. The other risk is that when they become addicted to gambling without anyone knows because they are playing gambling secretly. It is a responsibilities from their parents to watch their kids and always closest to them although that is not easy. But for them, parents will try to do many things.

Gambling is a lot easier to access now than before. So it is no surprise if more people find themselves gambling. Unfortunately, not a lot of us can be responsible enough to prevent ourselves from falling into deep addiction. This probes the question, who are the most vulnerable to falling into a gambling addiction?
People who are most vounarable to fall into addiction are those who sees gambling as an option to eradicate poverty or sees it as a way of becoming rich too quickly. I had quite some numbers of friends who becomes addicted because they could hardly find a suitable job to leave the life they expected. After so many years of going to school and graduating without work cause them to become addicted. Because after finding several job and couldn't see any one they accept gambling as a second choice. Now gambling has become a pert of them even leaving it becomes a problem. Now even if they get a good paying job now they will still spend all to gambling.

I can say joblessness and poverty is the most vounarable thing that Leeds to addiction.
I agree with you, if someone sees gambling as an option to eliminate poverty or as a way to get rich easily of course it will make them gamble too often and of course it will make them addicted to gambling.
When someone does not have any job and they choose to gamble of course this is very bad not to mention they will be addicted to gambling which makes them feel in many other problems after experiencing addiction.
If someone who already has a job still gambles, of course they will regret it when all their income is spent on gambling and they will experience financial problems again as if they had not yet found a job. If only they could control themselves when gambling, of course this would be better than someone who gambles too often and has high hopes of being able to get a big win that they may not be able to get from gambling.

I agree that the less privileged are the ones more prone to gambling addiction because it's somehow an escape to poverty if they ever win big. Well, let's say they can just double their money which means they will have a month of ease with their bill payments and other necessities. But, it's too much of a risk so it's better to just stay away from gambling.
I have been playing a lot of online casino games for a long time and I can say there's no real winner in gambling unless you win and quit. This is because addiction could come from winning which is greed and they will come back over and over just to experience the same heavy multiplier one more time. The only problem is, it may not happen anymore.
Provably it falls more to less privilege people since they usually have this thoughts on where they can possibly earn lots of money from gambling. To bad for some of them commit crimes just to feed up their urge to gamble which is so bad especially they came to the point where they decide to have a sin just to sustain what they want to do in life.

But also see a lot of rich gamblers fall on addiction and they also think that they can earn big then didn't worry about anything especially for having funds since they have lots of money to spend. As gamblers I guess the only thing we could able to do for not going on those worse situation in our life we should have discipline and try to avoid any temptation for wanting more big gains since usually that feeling lead up for gamblers to experience addiction.

The reality is even more grim. A lot of veterans, retired workers and older people gamble - it is a method they use to spend their time while getting that dopamine rush at times of boredom.

The good thing is that this can be prevented if the reason why they became bored of life is corrected. Maybe they dont have anyone to look forward to, their children have moved away or their loved their job and had to leave it.

Bringing them close to those things can start to rehabilitate them to a addiction free life.

The younger generation will get addicted too but they can easily move away and stop gambling but it is tough for the older generation.

The most vulnerable are of course the PEOPLE. This is regardless of whether they are poor or rich, the two classes are susceptible to gambling losses, addiction and devastation. It got worse to the point that the government and the NGOs make little or no awareness of the danger, and for this, the sensitisation and gambling education are very poor. Instead, the government is particular about the money to gain from taxes thereby turning a blind eye to advertising at improper places, among others.

It got worse in my country to the point that our bank apps now display casinos/sportsbooks' adverts, promising bonuses to lure people to it. Ordinarily, someone who never cared gets attracted through the banks which is supposed to be an abomination. What am I even saying? I know some people now getting close to gambling addiction through that. This is ugly!

I am sharing this to raise awareness so more people are aware whether they fall under these categories I mentioned and may have high chances of becoming a gambling addict. Let’s keep ourselves informed and in check. Not only ourselves but our loved ones as well.
Well, all that you have said in your post, specially in the part of the post that I snipped out, is really good, stuffs or informations like this is one that every gambler needs to come across because it helps us to put ourselves in check, and make sure that we are not gambling the wrong way.

Talking about adolescent, or teenagers, as most of us understand that from age 12 to 18 is often referred to as teenagers, this ones are more prone to becoming addicted to gambling for several reasons, and one of such reasons is due to the fact that their brains are not yet well developed strong enough to handle the pleasure, excitement, trill or perhaps; pressure, anxiety, discomfort disappointments that comes with gambling.
Less privileged people are more safe than teenagers because most of the time, less privileged person may not even have the money to eat let alone gambling.

Some people see real examples of their friends winning and thus want to repeat the same. I see such people who watch their friends betting; this often happens at football matches. But these people do not understand at all that to make the right sports bet, knowledge, and analysis are needed that can correctly determine the winner. People are greedy and lazy, comparing themselves with others; they do not want to do anything for their education and decide that if someone is successful, then they can repeat the same, doing absolutely nothing for this.
However, they regularly repeat their mistakes and thus cannot stop, literally turning into addicted gamblers.

Rich or poor, anyone can fall into gambling addiction. It's not about money but it's about understanding the risks. Even rich people can think they’ll make easy money, which makes them vulnerable because they don’t set limits. No one has infinite money, so anyone, even the wealthy, can go bankrupt. Casinos see losing gamblers as opportunities and will give bigger limits. Bottom line: if you're not a responsible gambler, you’re at risk of addiction, no matter your financial status.

Well that's right, I agree with your idea that addiction is not measured by how much money you have or how good your finances are in life, it's about your mindset and perspective on gambling, simply put it doesn't matter how rich you are if you misunderstand what and how gambling really is then it is very possible for you to eventually get caught in a cycle of addiction, meaning that everyone still has the potential to get caught in the cycle regardless of their financial situation, the key is to understand the concept of gambling and be aware of the risks, but of course I would also say that experiencing stress due to financial situations can also cloud your view of a rational view of gambling and that can indeed lead to addiction.

Good point OP, the rise of roo many online casinos has brought about the seaming gambling pandemic especially amongst adolescents, they are very prone to addiction the most because some of them literally have got almost no control over their emotions completely, they are probably yet to attain that level where they can have their emotions completely in check and still not hurt their selves gambling and having fun and the financial benefits of gambling at some point is a reason these sets of persons get addicted easily because they begin to see an occupation in it with high hope of it paying the bills for them meanwhile they later get burnt out because they lack the discipline to handle gambling properly.

This probes the question, who are the most vulnerable to falling into a gambling addiction?

A considerable amount of people came into my mind after reading your question because I think the most vulnerable are the middle class and poor people,

I think OP meant  the health component of the vulnerability rather than economic one. Healthy but poor gambler may be more sustainable in the course of gambling when comparing with rich but mentally unhealthy man.  The same is applied to youngsters and adults. Thus answer to OP's question  is a health-wise rather than anything else including age or class position.

Unfortunately, not a lot of us can be responsible enough to prevent ourselves from falling into deep addiction. This probes the question, who are the most vulnerable to falling into a gambling addiction?

We already know that less privileged people are more prone to getting addicted to gambling with the involvement of financial reward. They are the ones chasing more wins because they actually need the money. The more money they get, the deeper they get into the addiction.

Another demographic that is more likely to get addicted to gambling are adolescents. Adolescents are aged 12-18. The rise of online casinos made way to more kids getting access into gambling. It is said that male adolescents are the ones most recorded to have ended up addicted in gambling. Their addiction is usually associated with sports  and mobile games betting.

Lastly, the most vulnerable to falling into a gambling addiction are those already suffering from pre-existing mental conditions. About 4% of people being treated for substance use also have gambling disorder, as do nearly 7% of psychiatric inpatients and up to 7% of people with Parkinson’s disease. An estimated 96% of people with gambling problems have at least one other psychiatric disorder.

I am sharing this to raise awareness so more people are aware whether they fall under these categories I mentioned and may have high chances of becoming a gambling addict. Let’s keep ourselves informed and in check. Not only ourselves but our loved ones as well.

Actually, for a long time there were people of that age who played gambling in a different way, but now in this generation it seems to have evolved
because of the technology that we have today, like the online casino.

Especially in this day and age, most of the people who can gamble online at the casino are young people who use Facebook, and it is usually on this platform that they see people
promoting online casinos because of the influencers who encourage them to play gambling.
In the past time,  we saw that gambling was a taboo and was even done secretly by certain people, even according to people older than me, they even only played for fun and did not limit gambling to money at that time, but technological developments have brought many changes, including in terms of gambling today, where the ease of accessing online casinos can provide entertainment for many people, however, on the other hand, there are great risks that also occur today, such as addiction and also the vulnerability of minors involved in gambling, therefore, it is important to raise awareness about the dangers of gambling and provide proper education the risks of gambling to our children today as one of the preventive measures.

Teenagers can get easily addicted to everything, not just gambling. But the question is different. Who is giving money to teenagers, so that they could gamble? Their parents? Someone else? I wonder why so many people believe, that it's easy for a teenager to get money to gamble.
Anyway, OP you are answering your own question with this forum thread(and this topic has been discussed many times before).
Men are more vulnerable to gambling addition than women. Young people are more vulnerable than older people. Poor people are more vulnerable than rich people. I can add that low IQ people are more vulnerable than highly intelligent people, but I guess that such studies have never been conducted.

Teenagers receive pocket money from their parents, they can use this money at their own discretion. I remember myself in my teens, I was very interested in the topic of money, I tried to try everything I could and of course I made bets, and I had a goal to earn money. I was a responsible teenager and I had a desire to become a wealthy person, so gambling did not become a problem for me and did not cause me addiction, for me it was just an experience, just another thing in which I could not make big money...

As someone who lives in a low middle income country, I'd say that low income earners are the most vulnerable.
That's it! It doesn't matter the age. Once there's dryness of finance, the next thing one thinks of is how to reinvent oneself financially. For most people in the low income earning bracket, gambling comes as a comfort for them. Those in this bracket gamble as if their lives depend on it. Every bet attempt they make comes with much expectations and that seems to weigh on their blood pressure. They see gambling as their last resort and they don't care and they repeatedly place bets even when they go on losing streaks or not provided they keep hope alive. That drives them into addiction.
