Andreas Antonopoulos and Mike Novogratz either between the two will do just fine. But Mr. Antonopoulos is the prominent bitcoin speaker on so many different occasions. On the other hand, we have got Mr. Novogratz who is the biggest bitcoin bull on the planet followed by Arthur Hayes, and Tim Draper.

Mr. Andreas Antonopoulos lecturing the crowd about the bitcoin

In other words:
If you had to choose one real person to represent Bitcoin (in the public or in a debate against other crypto currency representatives), who should it be?

(It's clear that Bitcoin isn't led or represented by any single one person officially, which is what makes that question so hard to answer. It's also clear that this is feature, not a bug!)

Satoshi Nakamoto who happens to be a friend of mine.

Andreas Antonopoulos is the best one all the time. When it is going about Bitcoin, he is always there. Find him on Twitter @APompliano, he is awesome

Most members think that Andreas Antonopoulos as a person who influences bitcoin, so am I. Especially as he is a technology expert and entrepreneur, so when he becomes a public speaker he will certainly have an influence.
Antonopoulos is also the author of "Mastering Bitcoin", a technical guide to understanding Bitcoin.

My take will go for Andreas Antonopoulos totally and sometimes I think it is crazy, but he looks like he is satoshi to me because the way the this guy speaks of bitcoin is so amazing that you will be wondering where he got his knowledge about bitcoin from and I think that he has been doing this from the time that bitcoin was created, so if anyone really deserves an award or anyone that is actually capable to face anyone in the defense of bitcoin, is actually this guy.

My take will really go for him, which is the reason why I love to listen to him totally because he has a very sound knowledge. If satoshi is to really come out today, I am sure that he will give this guy part of his coins because he really deserves it for the good work that he has done here in bitcoin sphere.

Choosing the most influential person in the ecosystem is subjective, for each person it is different. However, I believe that Andrea Antonopoulos and Nick Szabo are competing for first place among the most influential people in the Bitcoin ecosystem.

Everybody is like joining the bandwagon in cheering Andreas. Andreas! Andreas! But tell me honestly, how many of you guys saying Andreas is the most influential person in Bitcoin have actually read one of his books? How many videos of Andreas have you actually watched?
Mate.. why do the majority of votes fall to Andreas?  because of the intelligence of his detailed explanation of Bitcoin is very easy to understand.  I totally agree with the majority voice.

The single more influential person in Bitcoin is no other than Satoshi Nakamoto! Alive or dead, real or fake, individual or group, Satoshi is still on top as the most influential person in Bitcoin.
everybody would say this too if satoshi is physically real.  the problem is.. do you know where satoshi's house is!!

Its because Andreas had already done it in the senate before. He already represented bitcoin community years ago. This is just one of this speech in the senate https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=xUNGFZDO8mM

He explained good and can discuss it in all aspects of cryptocurrency and its technology. He should be one of the best person to go to spread the word and educating people.

The single more influential person in Bitcoin is no other than Satoshi Nakamoto! Alive or dead, real or fake, individual or group, Satoshi is still on top as the most influential person in Bitcoin.

That's absolutely true, the mere debate about what Satoshi might have meant with this or that old post is really fascinating, given that Bitcoin isn't about what its creator wanted but what is actually the most useful for a maximum of people.

I originally posted the question because I wanted to learn who people perceive as the real-world person with the most impact on the future of Bitcoin. It's very subjective, yes, but the fact that there is no consensus (haha!) about this question makes Bitcoin so special.

Yes, Satoshi Nakamoto remains to be the most influential person/people not just in Bitcoin but also in cryptocurrency as a whole. Imagine a name, which is but a mere pseudonym, that may not even be representing a real person at all, being discussed all over the world. The last words this person/people released were more or less a decade ago and yet they were still discussed and debated until now. Simple words such as "I don't have time" and "I'll have to move on" are still pondered on and studied until now. And even the likes of Andreas, Novogratz, CZ, and the rest are influenced by this name above anything or anybody else.

I only followed few people in crypto was also Novo and Toni Vays podcast which I think are good influential people in crypto that could represent for the community. Toni vays is a finance analyst and knows bitcoin well too. I didn't know Andreas until today but I have listened to his podcast LTB on youtube, if I know he was that popular I could have followed that channel too. I just subscribed right now.

CZ would be my pick. Chinese and English markets know him well.

That's a pretty good pick, but I'd say he's influential over shitcoins and crypto as a whole, not Bitcoin so much.

Witness his suggestion to roll back the Bitcoin chain because Binance lost 7000 BTC or whatever it was. That shows either little to no understanding or overwhelming arrogance. And it also means his worth listening to on this subject has gone down a notch or two.

I'm still not getting the Andreas nominations. He's popular, not influential.

Is there anybody in particular who would come to your mind instead of Andreas?

CZ is a CEO of profit driven company. Bitcoin is an open source project. The development was initially led by satoshi but a large number of developers are involved in bringing bitcoin to where it is. I don't really know their real name but their contributions are greater than most of the newcomers to bitcoin. Without the certainty of monetary value, they worked to develop and mine bitcoin.

Yes, Andreas Antonopoulos is popular through his talks and by the moment most influential seems to be the CEO of Binance. Maybe there are more users who keep hold of large funds, but those are split and kept hold on different wallets. However those people who are influential can't be identified or revealed with perfect data as we cannot get accurate value of one's holdings.

I would not go into some controversy over who should be that person, everyone has their own opinion, though most are for Andreas because he is maybe most popular on YouTube or elsewhere. I have nothing against him, or other people promoting Bitcoin in their own ways, but I think only one person can represent Bitcoin. Although some will say he is not real (in the sense that it is not active in the community), my vote goes to Satoshi Nakamoto.

For me, Two-person should be considered, Firstly, The name come to my is Andreas Antonopoulos who is just awesome, and working with Bitcoin very effectively and actively, I have seen a lot of lecture of him and it really matters what he is doing, and the second name is Mike Novogratz, who is also a giant person in this platform, I think both of them are working for this platform very well and it's great influence to the people also, Since they are not able to control over this platform but they can influence other people for this platform, but if you choose only one name, then obviously I pick out name of "Andreas Antonopoulos

Almost everyone agrees that Andreas Antonopoulos is the most influential figure in bitcoin. But I'm an additional person who
making bitcoin increasingly known throughout the world including Vitalik Buterin with his smart mind making breakthroughs
in the world crypto with his creation of ETH which is the strongest altcoins at the moment, John McAfee is also an influential
person with his prediction is quite controversial and lastly Changpeng Zhao founder of Exchanges binance amazed the crypto
world his enthusiasm makes exchanges very popular until now. That's the name of the person who in my opinion is most influential
person in bitcoin.

Yeah, Andreas has come up most. It's funny how few other names get mentioned, after all, and that all of the names (specifically including Andreas) are being debated about. I guess this is a really strong indicator for Bitcoin's decentralized governance, is it?

I don't think any of these names belongs to the list of single most influential person in bitcoin as these people might be just tools as the real person will never reveal his/her identity and always remain anonymous just like Satoshi nakamoto.  Not sure if everyone will agree to my point but from whatever I have learnt in this forum a person who is influential for crypto will always be under radar so they prefer o remain anonymous and use proxies to promote.
