I use my ether to hold TOKENS for participe and invest in ICOs.
The people who deals in bitcoins and cryptocurrency need to have mew for storing there coins in it. Basically it is used to keep track on the coins and the transactions made in it. It also provides the information about the value of the coins.
Most people who do not own many coins or if the value of coins is less I think use myetherwallet, as its the best one out there that is free.
Myetherwallet belongs to one of the many recommended wallets by the ICO's project. That is why most people already familiar with such wallet especially bounty hunters and small investors. It is easier to use and safe based on my experiences.

i use (MEW) in conjunction with nano ledger, I like it .
Im using etherwallet, It is very secure and passwords are highly encrypted to avoid from hackers, One good thing of this wallet is that it is decentralized and a free open source client side interface for generating etherium wallets and more, Interact with the etherium blockchain easily and securely.

last be aware of some phishing site they will steal your information in myetherwallet and also all your token so be alert of what you click anytime
Advantages:
- We all know if you join in Ico or bounty this wallet may be helpful of stocking your tokens
- its very secure because of the private key and you can easily access it with one click of your Keystore/Json file
Disadvantages of this wallet
- I recommend if you are planning to use this wallet its better to use pc than phone its very laggy .. This wallet is not mobile friendly
- I dont understand the gas limit haha tho!

I started using MyEtherWallet after 13 hours of synchronization in official Mist Wallet. And after each launch of the wallet it continued to synchronize. This was just ridiculous.

I do, almost everyday. I say he is great and one of the best if not best secure wallets out there.I think myetherwallet is one the most well known wallet to keep ethereum and its ICOS.
I am using myetherwallet. It is the go-to place, when you are juggling and storing ETH/ERC20 tokens.
Addtionally I am using it with my nano ledger s, which is a HW Wallet.
I think the UI is not the most beautiful but it is light weight and fast.
As an alternative a lot of people are using MetaMask.

I use MyEtherWallet, there were no issues with using it but I have doubts as for security. It seems highly unreliable to me, and many people write they were hacked
I've been using it for a while and thankfully never had a problem with it. It is a simple web site with clear tools. Of course there are some web sites trying to copy it and steal your info but if you are cautious enough you won't have any problem.
I use https://www.myetherwallet.com/ for all ETH and tokens! I find it very convenient, easy to use, but you need to be careful when using on an unprotected computer.
I think that now MEW is the most famous purse. I think so because I use it))) Installed extensions in Google Chrome. Everything is working! But you have to be careful! Its popularity attracts scammers! They come up with different schemes and divorces to get a private key.

etherwallet is one ofthe safest wallet which you should not give to anyone your private key to be secure .. this wallet can accomodate anycoin but cant store bitcoin .. though you can convert eth to btc and send to bitcoin wallet .. for me MEW is cool to use!

i am using and i do believe that most of the people use it as it is safe and secure.you need to protect your private key to make it secured.if you loss it your account will be lost without any doubt.so be careful about this.
Me. I use Etherwallet for my ETH transactions or if I need ERC-20 wallet.
