My parents even urged me to become an employee in an office-based work or in the government with benefits until retirement. However, the problem is that it eats up a lot of our time and our schedule is controlled by the boss. It’s why I remained self-employed until now. In my first few years, I endured a lot of struggles, pain, uncertainties and experiencing the worst of the worst circumstances until I finally find my footing which are cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology and the rest is history.
Although that having our own business consumes time, but we’re the ones controlling it. Eventually in a few years time, as we keep building our businesses, our residual income will be much more than the time we spent.
Obviously I wasn't some wealthy kid, but I wasn't also poor neither, I was doing alright, I got toys that I wanted, I got playstation 1-2-3 whenever I wanted, and most importantly I got a good education from a good school.
However now that he is retired he has basically nothing, he has one house in some other city because it was cheaper to buy a house there, and he has a retirement fund most of which is tired to debt right now because it took a while to pay for hospital bills and they are still paying that debt.
So, working for someone else for 36 years allows you to live a decent good life while you are working, but you do not create wealth for your retirement when you are doing that. That's why I worked in an office for only 4 years, since then I have been a freelancer and building my own projects constantly, just one major that I spent too much money and time on, but rest was decent small sample stuff to basically learn how to do things.
