Sadly this is the reality of most citizens here around the world. This is why only a few percentage of us are successful in our lives because of the businesses we have. No disrespect to the schools and universities, but they only teach us how to become a good employee.

My parents even urged me to become an employee in an office-based work or in the government with benefits until retirement. However, the problem is that it eats up a lot of our time and our schedule is controlled by the boss. It’s why I remained self-employed until now. In my first few years, I endured a lot of struggles, pain, uncertainties and experiencing the worst of the worst circumstances until I finally find my footing which are cryptocurrencies and blockchain technology and the rest is history.

Although that having our own business consumes time, but we’re the ones controlling it. Eventually in a few years time, as we keep building our businesses, our residual income will be much more than the time we spent.
I never really understood that. My father worked in a company for 23 years, he worked a total of 36 years but his biggest was this big German company in our nation that he stayed with for 23 years. Don't get me wrong, he gave me a great childhood, we rented our homes wherever we stayed and I went to great schools and I never felt the lacking of finances in my childhood.

Obviously I wasn't some wealthy kid, but I wasn't also poor neither, I was doing alright, I got toys that I wanted, I got playstation 1-2-3 whenever I wanted, and most importantly I got a good education from a good school.

However now that he is retired he has basically nothing, he has one house in some other city because it was cheaper to buy a house there, and he has a retirement fund most of which is tired to debt right now because it took a while to pay for hospital bills and they are still paying that debt.

So, working for someone else for 36 years allows you to live a decent good life while you are working, but you do not create wealth for your retirement when you are doing that. That's why I worked in an office for only 4 years, since then I have been a freelancer and building my own projects constantly, just one major that I spent too much money and time on, but rest was decent small sample stuff to basically learn how to do things.

It is said that every ambitious person who wants to become financial free must set up his own business, but I don't think that everybody is capable of setting up his business.

Business is not for everyone, it is very demanding and requires a lot more than you see openly, there's is a constant race among business owners to stay in business amidst harsh economic decisions, situations and there is competition, Not everybody can stay innovative and handle it, it is not a flaw, but how we were just made. Likewise, some people are in business because they can't handle the heat that comes from working for or under someone, they are not cut out to work a job even with education and qualifications.

You must take it upon yourself to find out the category you fall under, it is best you do so on time and understand that some people create jobs, while others keep the person who created the job in business through their professional or unprofessional services. It brings a sort of balance to the system.

I don't want to do both, to be honest everything should be free. It's just that people wanted some validation for all their hard work that they want to charge someone some form of compensation and honestly I feel like this kind of system should be abolished because both does make us money in varying degrees but both of these choices drains our soul little by little. Doing business will be difficult since you need a big network and you need to keep your relations at a good pace and at the same time keep your customers loyal, while with working, you're still doing the Industrial Revolution standard of work which wasn't supposed to happen because with the assistance of machine, jobs should continue to shorten in hours and the pay continuously improves.

Why are you asking this,as if there's a real choice between getting a job and building a business?
Those are two different things.
Do you have any capital to start a business? Can you even start a business with zero capital?
If the answer is NO,then job is your only option.
Having a business means way more responsibilities than having a job, because you are responsible for your employees getting paid. You are also responsible for your customers and delivering what you have promised to them.
Being a businessman requires more energy, better social skills, negotiation skills, building connections, discipline, persistence(when your business isn't getting any profits).
This cannot be compared to having a 9/5 job and executing orders.

I did not mention it here. Because there are many types of business. All types of business are divided into 2 parts. Traditional business and social marketing business. We generally know that it takes a lot of money to do a traditional business. So many people can't do traditional business but it doesn't cost much to do social marketing business so everyone can do social marketing business if they want. And the social marketing business is much less risky.

Social mrkeing can be done thru affiliation, you can start this business for free the resources are available online.

Although the chance of making it more better if you will use decent site which you needed some amount to begin with,

Being a resourful person will help you to make a good way of living, either you dal with it using your savings or you

will use your skills and capalities to find ways on how to do this business free of charges,..

every human being has his own opportunities we have no choice about it every choice is something that will determine us but sometimes we have no choice but to accept the opportunities that exist as a stepping stone to a clearer future. being a businessman or an employee is all a good thing and we should be grateful because some high school graduates become unemployed after graduation

I don't want to do business because I've heard too much negative stuff about it growing up and because being rich is not my purpose. I'm more of a job person, but I diversify my jobs, so that I can quit if I don't like the environment. Also, my main life path is that of an academic career, so business is simply not of interest to me here. That being said, I'm considering becoming self-employed as a teacher and a translator. In my country, the environment for doing business is pretty bad: those who are in business say it's impossible to build it without bribes and other illegal things. There's also a very high risk that if you do something smart, your competitors will literally destroy you and might physically deal with you. Finally, I don't like capitalism, and the idea of becoming the person who is benefiting most from this system is uncomfortable to me.

At present we all want to finish our studies and get a good job. But when a man finishes his studies and wants to get a job, it is not easy for him to get the job.
A popular course ends up bringing a lot of competition in the professional level. Point is that if you passion for a subject and you study that and willing to pursue your passion you will not have difficulty in finding a job.

Quote
Again, some people take small jobs with some bribes from the leaders and then it is seen that the family does not survive with their small jobs because slowly the world is becoming digital and everything is more expensive.
Bullshit.
Bribes are common in many countries but you dont need to pay bribes to survive, they are needed at mostly lower levels to gradually go up in the ladder. Once you reach high up, you will be the one taking the bribes. Consider it to be a type of investment.

And that digital all bullshit is another propaganda. Not every job in the world is based on computers and internet. Broaden you knowledge and you will also know better.

Quote
So if one takes initiative in advance then one can enjoy his life better. The job is to work under people, the business is to give people job under themselves and to help many helpless people.
If you think that a business is better than a job or vice versa, then you are gravely mistaken. Both a job and a business are having own pros and cons. A person who does not have the mindset of a businessman, can never be one, so why propagate that thought to them, it would be misguiding them.

This decision should be taken at lower levels though when a person is studying in school. I think good parenting is important here to realize your own child's dreams and guide them towards it. Working smartly and sincerely, anyone can be successful in life, it does not matter whether they are doing a job or a business.

It's not as difficult as it seems, just because our egos sometimes become more selective in choosing jobs that guarantee high income. In certain parts of the country, people reject heavy work because of the demands of a life of luxury and prestige even though it is actually a noble job. And yes, the culture of bribery and nepotism is still thriving even you can find it in government jobs.

I agree.
Most schools (I know of) teach you to be an employee. Very few (if any) teach you to be an entrepreneur.
Because 1 business has a complex job, so it requires a lot of workers. Formal education wants students to seek as much experience as possible.
Business is only a matter of opportunity, and most business people start from a worker who finds the opportunity. But the two will always be side by side.

I don't expect somebody to favor a job over business. Having a business means freedom. Having a job could mean the exact opposite.

With a business, there is of course the expectation that you will have to handle responsibilities, pressure, even stress. It still entails a job, lots of it even. But the mere fact that you are not taking it under a demanding supervisor, a strict boss, toxic workmates and workplace, low salary, and so on means the world.

Unfortunately, however, only a very small percentage of the world's population is given these options. The great majority are forced to work with a job that does not only hinder personal and professional growth but also drains one of life.

A few jobs here and there.

They're quick and to the point. And you can use that job income for coins and all that good stuff.

Both jobs and business could be lucrative depending on the nature of job you are hired for and the kind of business as well. Most paid jobs are even more lucrative than owning a business everything boils down to the skill you are been hired for and how much the demand for such skills is daily alongside the solution gap it's filling up in industries

Schools are manufacturing every students to be a good employees and the one who study well and score good grades may get decent jobs but look at the world and who are the employers they all are making money with your effort and get paid few pennies for it.
This is the common practice in most of the third world countries. Education has become a big business. In the past schools educate how to live. Nowadays education is much focused on how to earn. So, in school itself learning moral values, humanity, sharing everything gets stopped.
Business is always better but when it comes to business 9 out 10 won't survive even 2 years from their start up so be ready for the failures if you want to become a business man.
Businesses always have big risks and it isn't possible with common man. Because common man wants a life that gives him regular pay and peaceful atmosphere to spend. Businesses gives profit as well as loss, and for the same one needs to work more than a day job.

To become a formal employee working under government regulation you need a higher education, but you are not required to have a higher education if you are starting your own business. I finished my education 8 years ago and have only been working for the last 6 years. Yes I enjoyed a free life without any workload for almost 2 years after I finished my education before finally I had to work under government regulation due to economic factor.

Not everyone is able to build and manage their own business where the capital factor is the main problem. Being in a third country you can't do much because capital is the reason why most of us can't have our own business and run it. So, what's the problem?

Well the education is really competitive, one has to understand that in some countries, you cannot expect to get into a good university until and unless you pass your exam and that's why it's all dependent on your studies and education as well. Getting a job is actually very hard in countries who are developing, the current rising inflation is hard for some people since their jobs are also not consistent with the economic situation.

Therefore the best bit is investing in oneself, investing in your special skills which is something people must find out and explore, the small jobs might provide you with experience but the jobs consistent with your skills will provide you with immense opportunities for the future.

I heard a phrase *if you judge the fish by it's ability to climb a tree it would live it's whole life believing its stupid* therefore one has to recognize their inherit capacity and then look for the job. Which might be hard right now but you can always look for international one's online but that might only be beneficial for people who are well versed with computers therefore it's an essential skill at this point of time hands down.

I understand your point but we have to deal with it from the base up.

Jobs and business are two different choices for two different mindset. If you want a life with stable income, you will choose job. But if you want a life which is riskier and more rewarding and also comes with ups and downs, you will choose business.

But there is another segment of people who chose both. During this pandemic time, a lot of servicemen have found time to setup their own businesses based in their hobbies. So they are continuing with both.

If you have the ability to take risk, you can definitely choose business. But if you want a stable income, choose job.

Nevertheless, I am sure that everybody can start investing or find any other ways to get passive income in addition to his work.
So I think that everybody should decide on hiw own what suits him more, but in addition to this we should look for other ways to make money.  Cool
