Can not predict anything. Maybe the trend and technology of blockchain and cryptocurrency will change so much in the future but I think Bitcoin and Ethereum still can maintain and promote their own unique strengths

There will never be a new king, because Bitcoin will always be the best in crypto currencies and lead the crypto market and become the king of crypto. Until now we see that in coinmarketcap Bitcoin is still number one and then ETH is always under Bitcoin. There will never be a coin that can replace the position of Bitcoin and become the king of crypto, because forever it will be owned by Bitcoin.

The thing is that before who have a new king the one ruling have to die, since the king bitcoin and the queen etherum is not dead yet so no king should be expecting anytime soon, only if bitcoin goes worse below $100. Maybe by then we can have a new king.

Ethereum will be the number one crypto currency as soon as the devs will finally launch Ethereum 2.0 update. I believe that the time has come for a new king to take the crown and it would definitely be Ether.

And why do we need kings in a decentralized cryptocurrency? In my opinion, decentralization and rigid price domination, which has now on other cryptocurrencies Bitcoin, are incompatible. We have the current more than one-year common cryptocurrency problems only due to the bitcoin price transfer at the end of 2017. I think that with time, when the market becomes mature, cryptocurrency prices will more or less level off and not a single cryptocurrency will dictate its conditions on the market.

That's right it never expected to me would be coins can replaced Bitcoin as the main coin, be it ethereum or xrp, they could not replaced the position of bitcoin as the first place, I think until now Bitcoin has shown its existence as the king of coins

BTC will remain king, for sure. I think it is speculation only that some coin will replace, but seeing marketcap of bitcoin and comparing to others top coins, I hardly see any coin even near to bottom of it. I am not seeing any other coin replacing BTC for at in the next 2-3 years.

I still think (and hopefully) that ethereal will be one of the kings of cryptocurrency. He has a basis on this: good capitalization, audience. Yes, and it is already used today most often on all sorts of projects as payment.

You're right. It's so funny to see such threads now. Actually it always was so silly. Let's take into consideration the amount of altcoins today and the fact that nobody of them didn't surpass BTC. Now, when second layer solutions are actively developing I assume BTC will become much stronger. This giant will not leave the 1st place even in 50 years. This is my IMHO.

Ethereum ain't taking Bitcoin place anytime soon, and I doubt it will ever happen. A stable coin might take over the lead on coinmarketcap, but I really don't see any altcoins, like they are right now being able to claim up to be number one.

I think that from what we have seen so far, it is fairly easy to predict what the future would be like and I strongly believe that the future still belongs to Bitcoin and Ethereum, there is no doubt in my mind about this.
