and Fingerprints of the Gods.

Not ruling anything out in that department.

Well, they sure as hell won´t be training people no matter what for trades that they have no business or talent for being in, like today.

So, it´ll be a question of finding the right people to train for the diverse skills.

If we go back to the hunter gatherer stage, there might not be any diverse skills thought about for a long time.

Smiley

That stage would be pretty accident-prone I guess, which means doctors. Also it´s very time-consuming. You can´t be expected to run around all day hunting and gathering and then also process and cook the food. And do all the other chores. There will always be a big market for support skills even in the most primitive environment. There won´t be 45,000 occupations catering to every possible human whim though.  Grin

Well, consider that it is almost now proven that there was an ancient civilization that was probably advanced in some ways beyond us, and that there was a climate change in the earth that all but destroyed them, and drove their descendants back to the hunter gatherer stage.

Youtube search on "Graham Hancock" and look at the evidence, not the fact that you might dislike him or his ideals.

Thanks, I will check him out  Smiley

One good point. Fiat will be gone.   Smiley

haha, that's a good one!  Smiley I'm wondering if Bitcoin will survive the nuclear winter would it be possible to buy a new humanity with it?  Smiley

As long as the blockchain and Bitcoin core program survive on hard drives, Bitcoin can survive. Cold doesn't generally affect the hard drives themselves. It's the heat and EMP of the nuclear blasts that are dangerous to computers.

The real question is, how many people will repair electrical generators and computers so that they can fire up Bitcoin? In addition, there would need to be a communications infrastructure like we have now to make it practical.

If the nuclear winter is bad, people will be seeking survival. Generally that means nothing fancy like computers. By the time people lift themselves out of a prehistoric form of backwardness, they will have forgotten most of technology. We need to prepare with libraries that will be safe from loss. Of course, if we print on paper in these libraries, the paper will be used as kindling.

Smiley

It´ll be back to basics. People will band together, pooling skills. Expertise in various fields will be very much sought after and valuable. Doctors, dentists, botanists, teachers et cetera et cetera.

And even all this depends on how much knowledge is retained, and how much is lost in the war. If the war is bad enough, the fallout killing most of the people, even these skills and disciplines might be lost.

I voted for Russia & China (If they make alliance somehow). I agree with u about they have more man power and more resurces. There is also India and Brasil ( two big nations with very high budget for military) and its important on which sides they will be. But "just dead see the end of war" is sentence i will never forget.

Cockroaches have been around for like 300 million years and will no doubt still be going strong after humankind is extinct.

Based on researched 500 to 1000 nuclear warheads detonated in a week will cause a nuclear winter. And there would be no winner.

I wouldn't like a WW3 to happen, it would be very bad, because wars are the worst thing that can happen. But if a WW3 ever happen i think Russia and China will win it because they are more powerful. But, all things aside it is 2015 and we should settle every problem with democracy and agreements not with wars, it won't be good for anyone.
