What kind of coins your holding is that coins or token having working platform and active team . How the project progressing listing of exchanges also active community following project , there is lots of factor will decide while holding coin finally marketcap also decided if we really want to hold long term.
I dont know why people are selling so soon, buts it's mostly because of greed and most investors who go 25-50% bonus would want to sell as soon as possible to make more profits and I noticed a member of a project team dumping token price just to eliminate bounty participants and start selling higher for new investors... the greed driving people makes them sell so fast

well, we are still at the bottom. market capitalisation is extremely low and we have signs of rising. there are so many coins with low supply and still a low price, where there is something like a "nothing to lose" situation (carefully said). they are normally extremely volatile but when you spectate them they are moving so slow. i think the problem is we have still a mass of depressed people who couldnt assimilate the dissappoitments of the year 2018. a small move to the green and its something they never had experienced before, so they click at the sell button. its like it will never ever gonna be ever green again. it still needs some time to get more awareness, maybe the problem is also the knowledge, because all indicators are on green, but this irrational mass makes it red somehow. we need bigger trader volumes... thats the only solution. this low volume brakes the growth down. the best would be more optimistic traders and not some depressed ones who mourn back to 2018. in my opinion the markets have changed by now, but the few hands need to recover. they gotten a bit weak.

all depends on the moment, if selling quickly at one price is still good I think not a problem, but when prices continue to fall and sell at a cheap price, I think choosing to hold back and wait for the price to rise will be better.

Fear of loss makes some people prefer to be safe to sell their assets faster because they are not sure whether they will get profits or losses. this is normal and sometimes this decision is right because many of us actually hold the price down dramatically
you are right, most of the people sell quickly because they are afraid of losses, because if you have come down it will definitely wait a long time to get back up. there are also some who sell it fast and buy back when prices fall.
Urgent need of cash or thinking it would deep dive once more. All of us has limits for sure and I have given a time for the market to recover and it was after year before I finally said to myself that it is time to sell. If only it did recover in any of those months or even before the end of the year then I would not have sell.

Many of the cryptocurrencies that have just come out, many people join the bounty and get rewards. When they launch the trading platform, the bounty hunters will sell these currencies in the first time in order to get the BTC. I think they like BTC more.
1. They probably need money really badly so they just sold their altcoin without thinking of the price. It's normal tho, so you shouldn't blame them.
2. They think these altcoins would be get dumped so they just sell it right away and avoid further losses.

It is important to note that not all altcoins will reap profits and be successful so when you have carefully analyse such a coin that you believe has no future potential or it's going to take a very long time to reach his goals. it is always better to sell off and invest in other projects that have better potential or better still diversify into multiple cryptocurrencies and share your risk.

I sold some of my altcoins because that's one of the best way I realised that I can actually make some profits, once the price goes up high, rather than having to wait for the price to rise higher than it was before which I know could drop back low again and eventually become a lose especially in trading.
