I think it's imperative for people to understand that, what makes one profit out of cryptocurrency is selling of digital assets. Its laughable to think that your assets are growing in value when they are unsold and in your wallet. The market is highly volatile and the only way to profit out of the volatility is through buying and selling. You sell at a high value and buy back at a lower value or vice versa. Keeping your altcoin for futuristic higher returns is only logical, when the high return is sure. And in this industry, nothing is sure.
Everyone involved in ico is to make a profit. when they see the profit they will sell. I see hold alt now, the price drops.
Actually the answers from my opinion are very small and straight forward. If you are investing in Altcoin for less time price and when Altcoin price increases then you sell it. That will be right for you to decide and you will know at what time best your sell options.
Those who sell may be pursued because of financial needs or can also be afraid of greater losses. Actually if we want to be patient to wait and not get carried away by emotion or panic, I'm sure someday prices will rise again and crypto will be able to give us profits. My advice should never be that we sell coins that we have if we have not made a profit, because the price will always be moving and in time there will also be a price increase that will ultimately benefit us.
Many also sell because they fear, fear that the bearish trend will completely consume the value of their assets, many have already lost more than 90% of their investments, some people are trying to save at least something.
In my opinion if you are in even is small profit you shall start trading and sell the coins but your one planing must be for long term too as if you have 02 BTC must hodl 01 BTC for long term and trade with one BTC.
I think that 0.2 bitcoin is a very small amount and you just have to choose a low-risk trading strategy and trade all the bitcoins which you have. only like this people get rich

I am selling my altcoins so soon because there is no clear information about the project, as we know that there are currently too many shitcoins that make competition very tight and many coins die.
Its true, there is more than 2000 altcoin in market and many of that are death or the project not active again. I am believe people who sell their altcoin have their own reason like dont trust anymore to developers team or they just want to trade to double their altcoin.
It is good to hold coins but its better to create movements with it. The simplest method of making you earn more money in the end is the utility of the coin. Imagine if all people will be holding like you do, do you think you can gain? The answer would certainly be maybe or maybe not. It would be a race to do so. Why because all of you are holding the moment those who have invested earlier sees the opportunity for gaining, the investor might just sell or trade his coins and the person who comes late into investments will have to worry much about when will the coins go to the moon. But given the utility of the coin, the demands will go up naturally and even if you do sell your coin somebody replaces it for you because their are lots of movements and it is as if nothing was changing in its volume and demands. So don't ever worry about that, instead tell others to utilize the coin properly.

Selling of what altcoins you are holding so soon is not that bad idea and this decision you may look beneficial to you and for your profit of the future. But if altcoin and bitcoin will rise simultaneously then you can have a good profit. And so,don't sell you alts so soon.
Of course, usually I don't want to sell altcoin cheaply but if the current crypto market conditions require it, I can choose to sell it with loss, after that I wait new lower price. Hodl cannot be the only option, it requires new trade tactics every period.

That if you believe more dump will come, you can minimize the losses but you can buy at dip so you have a good chance to recover your loses when selling it when the price will increase again. I here and see that a lot of people are selling their altcoins for this reason or for that reason. In some cases I here that people are even spending their altcoins to buy Bitcoin. Now that one really has me confused. To me it’s way to early to be selling your altcoins. It’s like selling an original painting before it even gains in value or while it is still gaining in value. What smart investor does that unless they are selling out of fear or because they are desperate. For me I am holding all of my coins for now because it is way to early to even think about selling your altcoins; what say you?

i have the feeling many noob traders joined the market buying expensive and selling cheap.

I'm not selling my altcoins cheaply for now. hodling is key and it requires patience and determination. I'm a proud hodler and hodling till I gain much value.
Why am I selling my altcoins very soon? Simply because I want to earn profit very soon to cover the losses I've get from the past years so when I get some altcoins I immediately sell it or trade it. Because for now I am start day trading in which I am getting more profit because of this trading. Am not selling any of them now. What am doing is buying more of them because I believe that this is the best time for me to buy those that I don't have yet in anticipation of a new all time high which could happen this year or next year.
