I think you lose because you didn't stay calm when the price goes down. It is just a normal thing that bitcoin price goes up and down so should not be panic and sell your bitcoin all of a sudden even your incurring a loss. For you to earn profit, you should hold your bitcoin for a while and sell when the price is high.

well there are many instances their you should double or triple check the price of the token that you are exchanging . because there are some people in some markets that are still getting wrong in selling and buying tokens/coins from market.

Hello I don’t understand I bought for 4000 Eur one hour ago of Ethereum when it was going up, it stayed around the 10-20%, it started to decrease 5 minutes ago so I sold it and now cex.io just gave me 3500eur for it... wtf... Huh
The %came from me watching livecoinwatch.. Cex.io doesn’t have the accurate price ??

because you are not paying attention to the market conditions and lack of understanding of the charts, and you may be fooled by negative talk or negative issues created to make the bitcoin price go down. you should hold the bitcoin you have so as not to lose.

Can you give me some of your experiences/info/knowledge about the price on exchange houses and the actual price as shown on coinmarketcap/livecoinwatch (are there others?) ?
Does it lag behind sometimes ? If it lags behind it means the price will follow; are we sure about this; let's say price goes up on coinwatch and I want to sell but I see the price is not up there yet on exchange house, does one need to wait or can it be that price will never achieve that height and will just drop ?

Can the price be much higher, lower on exchange houses ?

Maybe I should register on many exchange houses and then choose the best price at the time ?
What if you have coins on one but price is better on others, is it worth to quickly transfer them to the other and exchange them there ?

What happens if I see bitcoin jumping and I buy one bitcoin for 12k and 20 minutes later when it arrives it is at 12.5k; do I get 12.5k?

Any other suggestions?
What exchange house has low fees and many coins ?

You should look at price on the exchange you are trading.
Cause there are a lot of things, for example the market cap and amount of traders, which can affect on the price.

This is very important you should look on it so you can see how much your money still, and beside its also the first thing that you should know before you sell out your  eth if how much would it be so you can still hold and wait never ever sell when you are still at loss.
exactly that the right thing to do even you know that you have the possible profit that around 20% of the money that you ahve bought for it always check the everything on it you may not depending only for the price that you have seen for.

I have made some mistakes sometimes in trading and if the exchange is lagging that may cause a lot of problems for the trader. I think you need strong internet and make sure the exchange is in good working order. I am not going to do any trading over the Xmas period so maybe it is good to take a break to re assess your position and try to regain any losses with a clear head after the new year.

Yes I will take a break and come back strong.

Well we can't never deny the fact that at first experience in trading you must lose but with your experiences you will be more successful in trading. But having a knowledge about bitcoin will be your advantage to see if the coin is really have the potential to grow.

You just sold your ethereums when the price dropped.
Probably you bought at $800, and it is now below $680, that is the main reason of why you lost a lot of money in there.

No I bought it at 15:10 when according to coinlivewatch the price was 570$ and sold it at 16:11 when the price was 618.

The 10-20% increase which you were noticing was might actually be increase from last week because ethereum prices have terribly fallen down today so you might just have sold at a great dip. Try to take up price from the exchange on which you trade so that you are not confused with the price average on coinmarketcap.

that means we are stuck in high prices should save and hold the ETH you have, until the price back and more than 50% of you buy do not be afraid it will be able to get there, and if you want to see the price of all coin and market available we can see at https://coinmarketcap.com.
