Please don't crucify me. Some hours ago PayPal payment system made some good decision of incorporating into their system buy and sell of Bitcoin, this has made it price to move from it former state. Basically ripple would have be the best for them IMO, seeing that ripple is the future of cryptocurrency irrespective of it centralization. As a ripple holder from inception, I did want Paypal to reconsider the use of ripple as it stand at the frontier of this era of digital currency. Hope this message get to PayPal team for appropriate actions.

That's to much shilling for Ripple are you holding a lot of Ripple and you want hype so you can dump your shares, I don't think Ripple deserves to be in the first set of choice they are better on the third batch, if there will be a third batch, Tron is much better or Eos but Ripple give me a break.

maybe paypal will use XRP but not at this time, why do they choose bitcoin over xrp? bitcoin has a larger market cap, bitcoin is also a pioneer of cryptoccurency so that bitcoin is the most widely known in general and bitcoin has a very large community than xrp. trust me friends xrp will be added to paypal, paypal is just starting to accept crypto.

It's possible that PayPal will add more crypto coins as time goes on, coinbase started with very limited crypto in the beginning of its life circle, I guess that's bitcoin and Ethereum only and now it's more than that, give paypal time and you will see, another thing is ripple is centralized, it's left for PayPal to add decentralized or centralized coins

The point is they are trying to make money and opportunity from crypto and bitcoin by far has majority of user in crypto market. it's only normal if paypal choose btc instead of other coin not to mention that xrp is like owned by ripple lol meanwhile btc is truly decentralized coin. by far paypal has made the best decision to not deal with xrp in my opinion.

Whatever you have been told about shitcoin XRP is a lie. They claim that they have a market cap of $11.5 billion but it is heavily inflated. If all the XRP comes in to free-float, then the market cap will be less than $1 billion. Also, more than 80% of the circulating supply is controlled by a handful of promoters such as Chris Larsen and Brad Garlinghouse. They keep their coins in cold storage and the moment they dump these coins, XRP will lose more than 90% of its value.

They don't need your recommendation they know better than you do and it's better that they do not include Ripple, in fact they should not include Ripple it's very much centralized and it's not going to be the future of Cryptocurrency but only Bitcoin and Ethereum.

Obviously, this is because you are an XRP supporter.
If I am one, I might do the same.

But let us just be happy for whatever they did by now. Maybe you could see your coin out there in a year or a couple.
Have you no other wishes than just be added with Paypal? There are more big companies out there.

Paypal has just announced that it supports cryptocurrency on its platform, I'm sure the coins available today have been audited so they deserve to be added as the main coin. The exchange will be fully developed in 2021 and I predict that in the future top 10 coins will be available on Paypal soon.
Well, that's the truth. The whole happenings will yield good results becasue PayPal will definitely like to add more cryptocurrency coins to their accepted coins within their platform. Majorly, we will be seeing top cryptocurrency from the coinmarketcap which will make the entire crypto industry bullish. From this announcement through PayPal the future of this industry will be great, becasue after this; many other giants tech will definitely follow suits.

It's very obvious that PayPal chooses Bitcoin instead of xrp ripple due to the fact that bitcoin is the king of cryptocurrency and more popular than any other coin in the crypto market. That's why Bitcoin is there instead of any other coin. Although xrp is also a top coin, but if in the future PayPal develops their system, maybe some other coins could be added like eth and xrp as well.

actually not only bitcoin, they are going to adopt other crypto currency  in thier platform not only bitcoin they just need to start it with the most popular crypto currency which is ethereum and bitcoin. but next time they will add more crypto when they see that there is a real demand for those coins.

Paypal do not want to support a project that is very similar than what they are offering, so they skip Ripple, but don't lose hope Ripple is doing great they are moving in a new territory which is UK, they can move freely there and launch a full marketing about their project, so many regulation from the US makes them limited in their moves.

Bitcoin is more supported than XRP, bitcoin is also decentralized and Xrp is complete centralized, moreover what makes you think that PayPal will only accept Bitcoin on their platform? It's not bad adding up to five different coins you know, this will fetch them better support around the world and bring in more money too, not everyone owns bitcoin

Bitcoin is the main thing about cryptocurrency other than that all are called altcoins. This is what Iearn from people here base on their replies. So do not get too upset for who knows that we might getting as well different crypto for paypal to offer. As we all know that they are just doing business for them to earn and by that I think the Paypal will be open for another crypto and tha XRP could possibly be added in their platform of buy and sell crypto.

You might not be crucified for this but you might be stoned to death. Grin

By the way, are you serious or just trolling? If you are serious then you are definitely be worth burning at the stake. To be honest, though, I think Ripple deserves the spot taken by Bitcoin Cash. Paypal is adding Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash aside from Bitcoin. Ethereum, Litecoin, and Ripple could have been a better list.

I will agree with this. Ripple instead of BitcoinCash.

For faster transactions, XRP is a better choice compared to BTC but I also have no idea why the Paypal team has preferred BTC over XRP.

BTC is the most famous cryptocurrency, and even noncrypto users can identify bitcoin as crypto. Who knows, PayPal will add XRP later on? It is not the case that only 4 cryptocurrencies will be accepted forever. Adding is easier especially if they see the alt's advantage in terms of transaction aspect of things.

Quite simply, whether you know it or not, ripple is nowhere near as popular as bitcoin. It has never entered the mainstream public media (although it might get reported on sporadically) but lots of people have heard of bitcoin. You should be happy that bitcoin has been accepted by paypal, as it gives more people exposure to the idea of cryptocurrency and makes it much more likely that paypal will allow trading of other ones in future.
it is possible that they combine the two technologies owned by bitcoin and ripple, when bitcoin has a very expensive price with high transaction fees maybe ripple can provide a solution because the supply from ripple is also very large so I'm sure these two coins will have something to do with the use of cryptocurrency on the platform paypal.

Maybe the popularity of BTC has affected while the team makes this decision. It is very strange to see the low impact on crypto markets, the XRP acceptance will grow if PayPal gonna accept the XRP as payment method too.

That's just your opinion because you're a holder of ripple but ripple is lacking compared to Bitcoin because I think it's a matter of popularity. There's not doubt that Bitcoin is the most famous cryptocurrency out there. I even know a lot of people who aren't aware of cryptocurrencies but knows Bitcoin. There's not doubt that there's a lot of people who wants to invest or know Bitcoin but has limited options, Paypal just gave way to them because there's a market in it.
If I were a PayPal manager or owner I will still choose BTC among other altcoins, those alt were based in BTC and it's a giant among cryptos. The price may be too volatile but this what makes them unique if they will use XRP whic is a centralised coin it will better for them to create their own coin since they can be the one who will managed and manipulate it. I'd rather have BTC which is tested for long in being reliable in having transactions even it's decentralized.

Bitcoin is even being referred to as when the topic is cryptocurrency. Many people still are thinking that Bitcoin is a general term for cryptos because of its popularity which I think is not a surprise to knke that it is always included on any actions regarding acceptance of cryptos. But I agree, there's no need to feel upset if your preferred crypto is not on the list to be accepted in such network, because there will be further developments with regards to this, and if this would be benefitting them, more coins will be included for sure. To put it simpler, popularity is their main domain on choosing the cryptos they would include in their network.

Probably failed negotiations. Ripple is centralized garbage, it all depends on the will of a few. Sure way to lose your wealth, trust the very banks and institutions that brought all the problems in the first place.

So if you want justification for your bad investment, you are not going to get it in the Bitcoin forum. You should sell that junk while you can and buy bitcoin, but not with Paypal because that's almost as fake.

"irrespective"? Why don't you get some Petros, see how far you get.. Oops, Trump prohibited you from buying them. There is your lovely centralization: It can be stopped, easily; because its centralized. Therefore its value is zero.
