ripple is the future of cryptocurrency irrespective of it centralization. As a ripple holder from inception

You have typical bagholder mentality, where you can no longer view your investment objectively and believe that it can only go up no matter what. Ripple has always been bad, a completely centralized cryptocurrency is worthless, the goal of crypto is to remove centralization in money. It's good that PayPal didn't decide to work with them, and it's clear why - Ripple, as a centralized payment company, is PayPal's direct competitor. Why should they help them?

You have a good point too because ripple is one of the cheapest transaction fees it's less than a dollar unlike the bitcoin but I think right now they are just trying to use the bitcoin first as a demo because this is decentralized also it's already known for making transaction which is a good thing too.  I think they will add new feature coins soon.

Like there is the next and followed by the ripple just my prediction.

No other crypto could be in place of BTC. BTC is used by almost everyone in the crypto space, so why choose something else?

There are some coins available on PayPal, not only Bitcoin, but there are also ETH, BCH, and LTC. It is still the beginning of how PayPal makes this decision. And it doesn't mean that PayPal will never list XRP. probably, some days, they will also consider XRP.
However, don't say about replacing BTC with XRP because it will not make sense. BTC is however more promising than XRP.

Please don't crucify me. Some hours ago PayPal payment system made some good decision of incorporating into their system buy and sell of Bitcoin, this has made it price to move from it former state. Basically ripple would have be the best for them IMO, seeing that ripple is the future of cryptocurrency irrespective of it centralization. As a ripple holder from inception, I did want Paypal to reconsider the use of ripple as it stand at the frontier of this era of digital currency. Hope this message get to PayPal team for appropriate actions.
They stated that upcoming cryptocurrencies are: Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash. They haven't mentioned ripple at the moment and to be fair I am a little bit surprised but there is a logic behind this decision. Paypal needs new customers, as they stated, they expect that millions of crypto users will come and use their service after this implementation that will be fully covered in 2021. So, if they need new customers, then bitcoin is by far the best choice because it has a lot of users, then comes Ethereum but seems they jumped from Ripple to bitcoin cash.

There was also an article about Paypal going to be releasing their own cryptocurrency, its very possible to happen and of course a centralized as well. I read it here https://cointelegraph.com/news/paypal-might-issue-its-own-cryptocurrency-soon-says-coinshares-exec

So XRP isn't on their list and for now it's just these 3 Ethereum, Litecoin and Bitcoin Cash. It's likely just the major coins for now. You can now see they are becoming like an exchange already at the early phase of their transformation into adoption crypto.

Whichever coins they will add to their list, the most important is if they allow users to send the coins outside PayPal. Its useless if now.

What we see with PayPal getting into bitcoin buying is just the beginning of centralized service platform into cryptocurrency related business. Further we can expect the addition of more and more number of cryptocurrencies. XRP being centralized and has partnered with different bank network, there is more possible chances of XRP partnering with PayPal.

You would probably be glorified if you were in a xrp forum.

You said it's good decision and yet you insist on something else.

It's not the future of crypto. Paypal accepting a centralized crypto makes sense though.
Another thing, is it ripple or XRP?

Hope this message get to PayPal team for appropriate actions.
It won't. Post on their page/channel/forum.

~ Also - the PayPal partnership is done by Paxos. Not sure of Paxos status with XRP?
Yeah, this is what I was thinking. Perhaps Paxos team doesn't think highly of XRP or they don't need another centralized coin.

Well XRP are well known for paying companies to adopt it - perhaps PayPal figured on waiting for the cheque!

They are just starting. Adding them all at once would have technical difficulties and they won't be able to provide a support. Paypal is used by all sorts of people and you know how hard it's to make stupid people understand how crypto works. Even coinbase started with a few coins and now has plenty of them. Similar would be with Paypal, they are just testing how it would turn out and if they find it's profitable, they'll bring in more and more coins.

Farewell, Leo
Well they can't add them all. Why didn't they decide to add monero too? (It has been rising in the past days by the way.)
In my opinion, the less they add, the better it is for bitcoin. I'm a little pissed that they added bitcoin cash, but I'm very sure that their choices had to do with the investment they were planning to do with those coins. To answer your question, they may found XRP a bad investment.

It makes sense if Paypal uses XRP as the XRP team had claimed many times they are going to be used by banks which PayPal is also related to banks so why not. But then XRP isn't what everybody wants though but maybe in the coming days, they will try to accept more altcoins. Or they have another plan and so Paypal didn't choose XRP because XRP is already centralized. What Paypal need is BTC so they can turn it centralized.

What I saw in regard to this is the game PayPal wants to play here is to follow slowly with the cryptocurrency system as Bitcoin is the heartbeat of the industry. We all know that Bitcoin has one of the biggest fork's around the industry and they will like have them onboard. But the beauty of this aftermath will be that ripple with be incorporate into their payment system after the launch of Bitcoin.

I also wonder why they didn't include xrp since if this one will be added it will also minimize the hassle since the fast and cheaper transaction fee makes it's more convenient to us.

But also I think it will be added soon and if the xrp supporter will show a support toward this provably we can see it added on PayPal.

You might not be crucified for this but you might be stoned to death. Grin

By the way, are you serious or just trolling? If you are serious then you are definitely be worth burning at the stake. To be honest, though, I think Ripple deserves the spot taken by Bitcoin Cash. Paypal is adding Ethereum, Litecoin, and Bitcoin Cash aside from Bitcoin. Ethereum, Litecoin, and Ripple could have been a better list.
