First of all I
do not hate Muslims, however, I will say that people can insult and hate on Christians, and blatantly insult Christ, whom I and my fellow Christians believe to be the risen son of God, and expect, rightfully, that they will be able to express those opinions without fear for their lives.
If I were to say something mildly insulting of Mohammed or even Sharia law, which I have no desire to live under, on Twitter, I would be genuinely afraid. Not all, but many Muslims do in fact preach hate and advocate murder of "infidels."
Christianity is a religion of love and Christ told us to love even our enemies. That being said, the free world is under no obligation to pretend that the murders, human rights abuses and intolerance that is so common in much of the Muslim world is somehow okay.
Like I said, I don't hate Muslims. I'd sit at a table with you, eat with you, laugh with you and shake your hand.
What I won't do is tell you that ISIS or Al Qaeda are anything but evil, although I have a feeling you would agree with me on that.
You have heard that it was said, 'You shall love your neighbor and hate your enemy. But I say to you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you, so that you may be sons of your Father who is in heaven; for He causes His sun to rise on the evil and the good, and sends rain on the righteous and the unrighteous. -Jesus Christ
