Getting merit is not difficult but the beginners make it look difficult for themselves. The problem most of are facing is that we want to earn merit without working for it. Majority of the beginners here are interested in getting fast money hence they mostly participate and make bounty reports with little or no contribution to other forum activities at all. Getting merit with such attitude will be absolutely difficult.

in my opinion as a beginner ,,,,, the answer is easy, that is,? we can't get a reward because our posts or the way we discuss are not of good quality, and of course the source of the reward will only give the reward to the right person to be rewarded.
and if a beginner doesn't get a reward, yes, you can call it reasonable because usually, a beginner's posts are always not good and the way of discussion is also always of low quality. but actually for beginners it's also easy to get rewards, as long as the posts are good.
but in my opinion the reward is not too important either because what we need is knowledge and experience as a result of the discussion. because knowledge and experience is very expensive.

In my opinion, posts that are useful for other people will get merit, or something that is unique and makes other people curious.

if we post about something that is discussed repeatedly it's a bit lacking. Although I myself sometimes like that.

In reality, earning merit is really challenging for newbie, despite what some beginners may believe. A newbie should conduct thorough research and provide quality content if they wish to rank higher.
The forum rules should be followed as well because doing so will make it simpler for beginners to earn merits.

~snip~There are some threads linked by other users above me, so if you are really desperate to get merits, those might or might not help you.

I think some of the linked threads are more than enough to end the hard words to get merit. There is nothing difficult if you want to try and become a contributing member of this forum. those who are desperate don't get out of their zone and just stay in one place, even though there's a lot to explore in this forum.
there is one thread that will give a prize of merit by arranging a random word that will be the username of this forum user.
Like in a game made by Cygan, whoever manages to guess the random word will get one merit.

You're registered in this forum since 2017 and already get 20 merit while the rest is merit airdropped, but you're asking why getting merit is difficult? Cheesy

I think getting merit is pretty much easier compared to few years before since there's many active merit sources and the users are more active to share their sMerit. If you think it's hard, it mean you're a shitposter since shitpost wouldn't ever get merited.

There's few users in this forum want to review anyone post if they're make a good post:
1. [Merit] Share your best posts/threads with Fillippone to be merit assessed
2. [self-moderated] Report unmerited good posts to Merit Source

Thanks for this things Sir, at least since this is my first post I am thanksful that I  read this reminders of yours to any newbies like me.

I will do follow all the rules that this platform has. Good day Smiley

if you take a look at the thread The future of Bitcointalk: Low Ranking Top Merit earners in the past 30 days, you can see quite a number of newbies already know how they earned Merit. this is not something that is difficult I think, some threads created by Merit Source can help Newbies to earn Merit by submitting applications.
it just takes a little effort and willpower to get up in the rankings. unfortunately, I don't see anything like that for novice accounts that only report bounty campaigns. they could be stuck there forever. there will be no upgrade.

<...> some people in the forum are already feeling frustrated of not having much merit, while some person's posses merits, and giving it out seems hard.what can be done to get this merit.

Which people? Can you show us some examples?

Anyway, there are several merit-sharing topics started by some merit sources. If you think that a post of yours or someone else's deserved merit but was overlooked, posting it to one of those threads is likely your best bet at getting warranted attention from the merit sources and getting some merit.

Those are the people who doesn't make an effort even in doing a research on how or what way we can get merits. I am sure you know that they are only waiting to be spoon-fed with information or details that they themselves didn't put much effort in learning. So, I guess those are the people he meant clearly, you know what I mean. well, there's nothing we can do about it unless someone near from that person to guide them and teach them about advantages and disadvantages of it.

Some beginners want to get ahead without working hard and think that getting merits is as easy as snapping their fingers. This is not true. You have to work hard and put in the time if you want to get ahead in life. Merits are a reward for your hard work, not something that just falls into your lap because you are nice or good. It should be appreciated and respected, and it should not be taken lightly.
We need hard work and consistency to get merit by increasing quality posts and sharing important news for the future of crypto that is useful for forum members, I think getting merit is not the main objective factor because any quality post will be rewarded with +1 merit, but most importantly that we can contribute to improving the quality of the forum.

Again like I said to threads like these, why so inclined to earning merits/ranking up? You are still eligible to post/interact around the forum even if you had not earned a single merit plus you are at Full Member rank already and with that, you can upload avatars.

There are some threads linked by other users above me, so if you are really desperate to get merits, those might or might not help you.

Not to dwell on the same, but obtaining a few merits is not that difficult, really. Rather more, it’s earning the required amount from mid to high ranks where the difficulty may reside, whereby a certain degree of presence is required alongside being fairly consistent in the so called quality of content created. One simple key to it: time, alongside some effort.

So far (as of yesterday morning), 1.356.486 sMerits have been awarded in 727.929 TXs. That should provide a pretty wide field for anyone to see what kind of posts are merited id that is their will, and derive their own insights on the matter.

In fact, getting merit is not as difficult as it seems at first glance. The problem is that beginners want to get them just like that, without putting any effort. But that doesn't happen. There is always an opportunity to express yourself on the forum and you just need to be more active. It is more difficult in my opinion to find a suitable direction, a section where you can reveal your potential, where your discussion will be useful or interesting. Focus on the process of communication (gaining knowledge, sharing it) on the forum and enjoy it. Just do it and don't go in cycles in merits.

I don't know how difficult things can be. I have sent about 1,000 merits during the last month and about 3,400 during the 120 days. There are many merit sources who did like me and these points will enable other people to send merit points, so it is possible and easy. Not getting a merit during  30 days or 30 during 120 days means that the problem is you, develop your skills, learn more and share what you learn.

So getting merits seems to be difficult for U.

I think something like this has been created and this sounds as a spam. So per the question, I will say is desperation they wanting to quickly gets to higher rank without any valuable contributions and yet due to much curiosity few members have devoted their time to go through many individuals profile to give them merits to those posts which they felts are meant to be given merits. Such as
Fillippone and The Pharmacist and many more giving out merits so I don't think merits should be any issues of discussion or saying it's a hindrance currently.

we find out that some posts made are not really worthy of getting merits, therefore, what type of post really does qualify for earning a merit

Are you kidding? being a full member that have earned sone reasonable Merits being on the forum yet you are asking this kind of a newbie question? how do you also choose to merit a post yourself? Merits is giving base on individuals decision because you own it, but just as you know how difficult it would have got you to earn some Merits i believe the same way you wouldn't want to meirt a shitpost that does not make sense, you will merit base on the idea you received from a post and how you feels been touched by such post

because some people in the forum are already feeling frustrated of not having much merit

Why should they be? stay on the forum for fifty years to come and if you're not posting or contributing to the required standard which could benefit the community no one will merit you, this forum is a representation of bitcoin discussion and that's why people all over the world cone across to get informed about bitcoin, learn bitcoin and ask sensible and enlightening questions.

while some person's posses merits, and giving it out seems hard.what can be done to get this merit.

Why should be concerned about that, it's what you can also do when you feels not giving out Merits due to your personal reasons, but know that does hodling smerits had nothing to gain from it.

Maybe because almost all the time they open spamfested topics with dozens of pages and post a repetitive reply that is already said by someone else and doesn't really add anything to the whole discussion [1][2][3]. I'm sure if they put some more effort into making constructive posts on this forum, they would start receiving more merits too.
This is exactly the reason because they think they are contributing on their part but when you see their post history then you will find one liner or zero effective contributions post or submitting bounty reports with many pages and yet they believe they are not getting merits at all. There are many newbies who will focus more on gaining knowledge through different threads on the forum rather then asking why they are not getting merits as once you give quality input you will automatically receive merit output.

There are lot of threads in which users can submit their post for merit evaluation if they think they are not getting attention and are being unnoticed for their post so they can check these threads and if they have that quality then they will surely gain merits for it.But on the contrary if we create such threads then it won't help us.

what can be done to get this merit.
not all beginners have difficulty getting Merit. they just need enough time to adapt to the discussions on the forums. and each beginner takes a different time. although there are senior members who pretend to be beginners.
first, find the topic of discussion that you are most comfortable with and are good at. it keeps you from having to force yourself to understand something you don't understand at all.
if you are interested in mining, then you can go to the mining boards and dig and share information there.
nothing is difficult to get Merit if they have the desire and effort.
