Is it really that hard to prevent hackers from hacking exchanges, wallets and God knows what other methods they use...
I mean how on earth is crypto supposed to flourish if it's so venerable to hackers?
Every month a huge hack happens and totally destroys the crypto image yet again.
At this rate, bitcoin will go to $1 as it gets hacked every day.
Is it possible to take simple precautions to protect against hackers?
For a so called "unhackable" wallet, private key ect, it seems to be a cake walk for any hacker.
Sorry for the rant, it's just irritating to see crypto slowly dying because of hacks.

I don’t think that it is that easy to hack bitcoin account, bitcoin transactions are known for its security and confidential as they provide you the user anonymity and peer to peer transactions and I think the transactions of bitcoin are like next to impossible to hack as these are the safest transactions among all and it also involves 2 step decryption which enables user to have safest and most confidential transactions, the only thing with which you need to be cautious is that never share your wallet id and passwords with any one.

It's simple answer, it's value that is attractive for hackers. They wouldn't attack anything they don't have use of and can't get some material gain.
Unfortunately, hacker attacks are getting more and more sophisticated and it's getting harder to have adecvate protection.
It's very important that you are always aware that Bitcoin and other cryptocurrencies are in fact virtual money and people were always stealing money, so hackers are just trying to do the same thing.

bitcoin and electronic money are easy to hack because it is a virtual currency.have been traded on the internet.all things related to the internet are dare attacked theft.but if we know how to protect it is very safe
Yes, but also fiat cash can easily be faked, and the bank can be robbed... so I think that it is more difficult to take possession of the crypto currency, although it is safer as we can see.

It's so hard this will happen - even if you could gain 51% of hash power and force to switch to another blockchain, they will find a solution for that.

They are trying to steal it from central exchange because they own the private key for their customers and it's easy for a great hacker to attack such a vulnerable source instead milions of multi account.

When you sign up for exchange you think yourself you are safe with them but it's no more true.

It is very difficult to provide 100% security to your wallets, exchanges and accounts. No matter how you protect them, you can not provide absolute security.

I guess you can't compare it only to crypto and bitcoin, the fact is that every one that contains money on the internet will invite humans to commit crimes such as hacking. this is a fact so I don't agree with what you say.
and for security issues, as long as I am involved in this industry, I have never had a problem with hackers. I'm sure if I always protect every security that we have to protect, it will remain safe.

Most exchanges whee Bitcoin are kept are not secured in terms of high level security. Due to that fact, many of them get hacked from time to time. Developers should be able to place secure codes to protect investors

Because people store bitcoin and altcoins online, not in online wallet then they keep them on exchanges. Many years ago, many exchanges were hacked thousands of bitcoins...

usually it's because of the user's fault itself
like accessing phishing sites, sharing addresses, not including 2FA in their wallets, ransomware and others
for exchanges that are hacked usually it is because of the fault of their programmers for storing funds in the hot wallet and not in the cold wallet

I know others said it here but I want to say that Bitcoin and crypto currencies are not getting hacked.  it's usually some wallet or side app getting hacked or some crypto user who had funds stolen talking about hackers when he went to a phishing site.  People throw hacker around way to quickly.

Possibility if the wallet is used actively through website services. It is very possible to have a hack because there is a chance that hackers will take access to the wallet or control it remotely. but for offline wallets that you may never use as often as possible. very small chance of a wallet being hacked.

Hacking do occur everywhere and not only in cryptocurrency. People always try to take advantage of their knowledge in IT to lure people and get rid of their treasure. I think we have to be vigilante and secure our wallet well. We should desist from given our information to any authorized site and individuals.

Well ... maybe the fact is that the technology is relatively new ... although who knows. It is necessary to implement blockchain, then everything will be exactly in order) No hacks will be

You know there is no impossible for hackers to hack in digital world because digital currency stored in a computer. Most of the people now are knowledgeable enough in using a computer that's they can do everything even to stole your cryptocurrency. That's be wise and smart, always make secure your bitcoin and altcoins. Don't put all your digital wealth in a single wallet and always use a 2fa authentication for more security.

It will be not "always" if we smart enough to care and maintain our wallet.
If you had a very big amount of btc, don't just only have 1 wallet because it will be the target of the hackers

I just want to add a reason why crypto currencies  and bitcoin can always be hacked by irresponsible people. Apart from hacking factors, bitcoin and crypto currencies can easily be hacked because of our factors as the owner of the crypto currency. Indeed not a few of us are very careless in using bitcoin and crypto currencies accounts including crypto currency wallet accounts. We often ignore the security of our wallet. Therefore it would be nice to prescribe all security procedures and perform security updates at least once a month. This is to prevent hackers from guessing the password of our wallet.

Most often because people do not follow their computers and go to phishing sites. I think most of the stolen purses due to phishing sites, people still have not learned how to protect their information on the Internet

In my opinion, there is hacking against this crypto currency because hackers are too smart but don't have the right place to devote this intelligence. Finally they hack. But if they use this ability to create a security system against crypto currency then I believe his rejection will be more abundant than taking the rights of others. I am sure about it.

Hacking is not a new thing and have been in existence for quite a long time. Crypto space is still not that huge and that is why hack is still a big deal when it comes to cryptocurrency. But still of an exchange is still what I have not wrapped my hands on recently. Individual hack is understandable which is due to some mistakes made by owners of the wallet. But for a well known exchange with enough money to acquire all the necessary securities for their sites to be hacked is what I believe to be a foul play. Check the rate exchanges are claiming hacks these days is alarming. How can all exchange is being hacked with same month as if it is planned. Well with time we will all know the truth behind the stories.
