Greed, because there are a lot of promise by the campaign and the developer we easily believe that its true
investing a lot of money in the project that is garbage.
No knowledge also is the second reason because of the trend they just go and invest without any knowledge of the said project
Trust because they trust the people in the project which sometimes pretends that the person is a member of the project
they can easily decieved that once they invest , they will soon find out that the person is just impersonating , and not really
what all expected.

one can never be too careful when money is involved... even big companies get scammed by individual or group of people.. I've been a victim of a scam before.. that doesn't mean I was greedy or I lacked knowledge of what I was investing in

Every scam isn't about been greedy or not, the first time I came across Bitcoin doublers in 2017 I thought it's normal judging from how Faucets works at that time, I did tried and got my Bitcoin doubled as promised but not knowing it's a way to confuse me, the second try was a final bye bye to my Bitcoin.

the problem is, having knowledge regarding crypto takes a lot of time and most of people who falls to this scam are newbies who are in process of gaining knowledge aswell. we can't expect someone who just barely created a transaction to know all the things a veteran should've known.
It's just difficult to give them warning since most of them not gonna believe in you before they experience it themselves.

IMagine what happened recently, when the big twitter accounts in the crypto space were hacked, including the accounts of big exchanges and their owners, big projects inclusive, some fell victim because they wanted freebies, which can also be likened to greed, but not exactly the sea as greed. There are better ways to earn securely in the crypto space, but they will not go for that, rather they will be looking for quick bucks.

There are many factors that can lead one into being scammed by anybody especially telegram is greed. How will someone on earth tells you to send funds for doubling and some would tell you someone assisted them to trade and made heavy returns the final one that's raining now is the one about Mr someone showed them way and made them gain huge funds. I do ask myself if those guys knows what they are actually doing. Someone assisted you make huge profits, why then showing it to the whole world that you made huge and they should join you. It calls for thinking and questions. Let's wide up please! .

You are right , one of the reasons and of course the easiest way people get scam is greed. most times greed do not even allow them reason well before responding and investing in any project. if we take greed out it will be very difficult to get people scammed. if you do not have a good knowledge about what is being presented to you then you should ask questions.

for instance , a friend gets scam of his BTC because the scammer (buyer ) offered a high price than what was offered in the escrow group and he went ahead to carryout the transaction only to be scammed at last.

Greed is indeed an unkind trait. People who have benefited, often can not resist and lusting to get more. It is certainly going to be easily interested in a project that gives a big advantage. Though with unrealistic destination projects often end up failing or expressed as a fraud.

And people who have no knowledge of the project is of course at risk. When choosing an ICO project, we should check carefully.

For me in this online world, don't be easy to trust with others. If you want to invest, try checking out other investors in the ICO. If you have done a good check, you can invest your money.

Many people especially those that are new to crypto work got scam easily. There are many factors that contribute to this to mention few, people wants to make quick money, impatience, lack of research about the project. The major one is not doing thorough research about the project before putting all the money. So my advice for people that want to invest in any project is to make a lot of research and be patience.

Scammers and "hackers" typically just trick users into giving people their keys. My favorite is all the female impersonators on Discord. Manipulating human psychology will always be effective, provided the strategies change over time. Best thing to do is simply be aware of this.

Actually having an encounter with scammers and tons of "scammish" projects is no longer new to me. But just like you, I'm no longer bothered because I know that I will not fall on their witty traps. Lack of understanding is the main factor they are easily fooled and at least it has been realized when I was a victim several times in the past and about greed, in fact they or greedy people will not always lose money because of fraud so to overcome this problem we should have an understanding first to finally we can do better research.

If you do not know about the investment that you're into, for sure there is a high chance that you could lose your money. Lack of knowledge and lack of understanding are the reason why there are a lot who are becoming victims of those shit scammers. If you got scammed, it is your fault because it only means that you do not know what you're into.

I think it is a simple logic, how are you gonna earn money if you do not know what you're into it. I think it is like a gambling and not investing anymore because you are putting your money in something that you do not know.

I would say you are right. Lots of users faced scams because of greed. I could vividly remember one that happened on telegram. Best to do proper research before investing and anything that comes with sweet mouth from team, community moderator or anyone should be properly look into as some are there to sweet coat and scam..

Unfortunately many people in the upper lower and lower middle class and also some in the middle class, around the world, tend to find ways to make more money. They know words like diversify, putting your eggs in different baskets and setting up businesses. But in their quest to get more money they encounter many "too good to be true" scams, double your money, invest with us and you'll make quadruple. I mean it's sad hearing news of people getting scammed. I even heard of a 65 year old man scammed and robber got away with 4 million Philippine pesos. That is a lot and being an old man makes me even sad more.
