First and I think the top reason could be just following the hype and not researching or not having sufficient knowledge regarding the project.

Its because of greed. Some of us are not thinking and the only concern is to earn money quick. So even the profit is too good to be true or the project seems unrealistic they will buy that offer hoping they will gain huge from it. Hence they will end up getting scam and realize their mistakes after losing their hard earned money. Newbies are not the only one victimize by this because even those who've been here for long but greedy to earn are sometimes ending up with scam projects.

Greed is one of the most prevalent reason people get duped in this space. The truth is that there are several schemes in this space and most of them are targeting the greedy ones to take advantage of their ignorance and greed. I've come to realise that whatever seems too good to be true is most likely a trap.

The top exchange has a lot of low fake volume instead of a bad exchange volume. The top exchange listed coins were also delisted from the exchange. Some projects also become inactive after the success of IEO. We are all doing our best to research but even though we got scammed. I would suggest that top coins are the right choice but for other coins, price dump.

I agree. Money is the root of all evil, and getting it possibly quicker is simply just the icing on the cake (that every scammer is waiting for you to hand it over to them quickly as well). And once a person falls into this trap, you can't get out of it until you're fully convinced that you've been scammed already

Because we believe the promises a project make doesn't make us greedy. When greed sets in is when we invest $10 in hopes to get $1000 within a short timeframe from a project. Why we easily get scammed is expecting too much we don't take profit when we should. Also we see lambo instead of seeing projects for what they are.

The reasons you give are absolutely right. Many people are easily scammed for other reasons as well:
1. They want to get rich quickly. This can easily lead to mistakes when seeing projects that bring you high profits that make you invest quickly.
2. Not predicting the success or failure of the projects they are involved in.
3. Because their deceptive tactics are too subtle to recognize.

You are right many people never been scammed for there safety but some are being scammed so badly because they trust easily most people get scam with online coin purchasing and many are trusting bad people. We should not trust any new people about buying and don't share your private key with anyone. The wallet gives you safety and keeping your personal information safe is your responsibility

In addition to what you stated in the above, most of the people got scammed only because lack of research before investing or joining in the campaign. Because if you do check the project first, for sure no one will get scammed in the end 100%. But that's not what happened most of the time, due to their negligence they always loss their coins in the end.
