Perhaps true but before it was BTC which is the most popular currency for ICO but when the ICO market get's bigger, most of them are accepting ETH since the project are also build in the ETH platform, hence it makes the market now surrounded with a lot of ETH tokens, most of them are scams.

Indeed, and in ETH you can easily create the wallet. i don’t see much ICO’s that is base with different blockchain aside from ETH and many coins are already succeed with this one. But its sad to see that ETH is falling today that affect most of the ICO with their project, i hope for a fast recovery of the market.

if you mean as payment, then i don't know. maybe they want ETH tokens more than others. but there have been cases where they asked for bitcoin too.

if you mean as the platform to develop their crap and call it ICO then it is just because there are so many other ICOs that they can just copy. it is at a point where creating one is very easy. you don't need to do much work and also if you say "we are using ETH platform" it looks better compared to saying you use something else. because nobody cares about the project itself. everyone looks at the cover and judge the book by it Wink

Everyone looks at the cover indeed. Lol.. Sometimes I wonder if investors still take their time to study and make researches on ICO projects before staking their hard earned cash.

actually not only ethereum and bitcoin. there are nem, stellar, and eos which are now starting to develop too. waves are also often used on the ico platform, but somehow many use ethereum. maybe because of the ease and speed of transactions, or the network which is easier than the other platforms.
