The media is so secured by many individuals and it is controlled by the general population who got a great deal of cash since they can simply advise the media to would what they like to find in the TV, web and other piece of media. The reasons are unclear,but one things for sure.. Media is a weapon either to build-up reputation or to destroy one. They publish and report the truth or what serves their own interests and for their own benefit.
They may suggest or consider bitcoin bad for investment or even a scam because it might seem anomalous in the form of trading and investing for them or simply because they just cant understand how it works. Whatever the reasons are, good or bad publicity is still publicity.
Maybe because they are jealous with bitcoins popularity that is why they are giving negative issue to bitcoin so that the people will be discourage to use or patronize it. But maybe if bitcoin will ask for advertisements in Medias they will give or project the real image of bitcoin. Because we all know that if you will pay the media they will present whatever you want to present. We all know that media somehow are one sided, they will be in favor with the people or industries who give them money. Well I cannot say that all the media are doing that things, but we are sure that there are really some of them that are embracing money instead of truth.

I see the media as a tool use in destroying what the government is against it, their negative news causes panic in the community, they also make money by give news that attracts the attention of people on a particular thing be it good or bad.
Well I think they are not negative about bitcoin, the thing is they are exaggerating the risks involved in using cryptocurrencies and not starting the good effects of it to the people. They are always warning the audiences with exaggerated reasons not to invest.
The media is only an instrument of the powerful people in destroying something they want to destroy. We all know that there are rich people in manipulating the media, they are paying a huge money in order for the media to do what rich people want to do. The real question here is why rich people are against with bitcoin. And in my opinion, rich people are against bitcoin because it is destroying or putting away from them the control of the currency. We cannot deny that rich people want to control everything in this world special the money or the currency.

Medias are not true all the sometimes there are viases in giving information to the public. Mind you there are media personnels who are involved in bitcoin also. In my opinion media should validate bitcoin prior giving bad comments.
The media certainly get great pressure from the government, I'm sure that the media of the banned country will continue to preach negative things about bitcoin, while the state that legalize bitcoin will proclaim the good.
I think the media is making negative news about bitcoin to help the government fight bitcoin, so bitcoin prices go down and nobody else will invest in bitcoin because of these nasty news.

It's very simple, the media will only report malicious reports, they don't have bitcoin, they can't see that we bought bitcoin and made money, and the news in the media is mostly eyeball.

Yes, of course. They deliberately do this so they can buy Bitcoin a lot and earn a huge profit for themselves. This is just a media game so we are not tempted to buy Bitcoin. In fact, I think the publication of media articles should be compiled according to the national policies and readers' psychology. Therefore, when the media releases bitcoin-related issues, it will incorporate national policies. However, many countries do not accept bitcoin now, so the media articles will be rather negative.
Yes, many news reports will capture the reader's psychology and comply with national policies. In China, Bitcoin is prohibited from trading, so many reports on Bitcoin are negative. As for how readers interpret, they do not care very much. The point is where the national laws and policies are. I think that it's because media is controlled by the government. They believe that Bitcoin is a greater threat to their economies.
