They just want to have news that will attract people. Negative because people is more interested in negative news than to those really pleasing to hear. We can't blame them, this is the way they earn their money eventhough sometimes they dobt have the time to analyze if it really true or not. Maybe, im not saying all of them, they have been paid to telecast something that will give negative effect to one product. Its like a marketing strategy. Competition is also broadcast by media, whether it is good or not. So that we should not believe everything they broadcast.
My take on this is that, Big companies and financial institutions are against Bitcoin because it is a big threat to their businesses. While the government is against it because they cannot control it like how they control the national currency at the same time, they are not getting anything out of it. So as a way to destroy it, they are using the media to make it look like it is bad and that it will not do us any good. As you can see, whenever it is a bad news about Bitcoin it is a very big deal full of hype, yet there are very few news about the good things it did and how many lives were saved and got better because of it.

Maybe some bitcoin whale is bribing media to tell that bitcoins are a scam and a lot of people panic sell their bitcoins thinking that they need extra cash for whatever reason they have. But I guess some media groups expose bitcoin news wether good news or bad. There are still a lot more to know in studying here in my country.
Media is controlled by politicians and banks. They are against bitcoin because it can not be controlled by banks but by people
The media thinks bitcoin is negative.Because they do not really understand how bitcoin works and how important it is to all users of bitcoin. Some media thinks it has a bad effect for them because they do not have any knowledge about False and bitcoin and cryptocurrency. They do not believe it and they believe that it should be a scam and should not invest in bitcoin. I do not listen to them because they are not right, the media talk about something they do not know.

The reason why media reporting negative about is because they want to get attention from the people and mostly they used those negative words in their headlines to attract viewers.
there was always a connection between the govt and medias, the fruit of which is bearing the btcs

I love watching the law discuss internet technology... when I know there's no possible way they could regulate it. I can't wait to see how bitcoin will keep the lawyers and judges and lawmakers busy, as they helplessly watch something the cannot control.
Actually it is not the media who are negative about Bitcoin, it is the people behind media, the people who paid the media to spread negative news about it. There are people who wants to control the price of Bitcoin by spreading FUD and fake news. Some of them wanted the price to go down so that they can buy it on a cheaper price while some of them wanted to destroy Bitcoin.
The wall street might not like the cryptocurrency market because the money is moving away from the stock market to the new market and other than that i do not see why media could spread negative news,there is skepticism from most corner because it is a new market and people will take some time to trust the new one and it is understandable. If bitcoin use to increase in price it will be rise as news on social media. I think bitcoin will be more famous because of media. It is increasing the popularity of bitcoin even more now, it is pushing the bitcoin toward fame and profit, and everything is good for the future of bitcoin. Some channels are using the bitcoin as an adds and they are promoting bitcoin because they have large trading for their channels so I think there is no such channels which are against bitcoin,

Do you recall a memeory the last news you saw on tele or news paper that narcotics have capture drugs. If u can recall then its easy for you to make a guess if payments are being done on btc then how much money is basically invested.

Bad and negative news sells and so the media pays attention to them to sell and gain attention. I know bitcoin has a lot of enemies and people who wish its downfall so that they can push their own altcoins through and these people will chance on the least opportunity to badmouth bitcoin and create FUD's for it to fall.

Hi there coindrops , it appears that they are unbiased in that part. I think there are various types of media, some want to communicate the cons or negative about bitcoin and the entire cryptocurrency while other media seek after to tell the positve impact of bitcoin. Well the main reason is they belive bitcoin is a fraud or like a ponzi , they see bitcoin as a threat on their society which is not. And second is they dont have the right amount of knowledge they judge bitcoin on what their see.
Yes, probably it is. This can be done specifically for someone else who wants to increase their money. Or even at the request of the government.
