Finally the users self interest is the one that takes him further into

Heres the thing with online gaming or gaming in general, there is already high stakes from the desire to win that battle of skill. If we are talking actual participation not just viewing as say horse racing then theres a natural stake in the game from your efforts and involvement.

Thats what OP is referring to I guess, there is also the idea of betting on yourself but I'd say even just the game is fine. Some minor game items perhaps placed on stake for the game could be a thing

Well, at some point it can satisfy the gamer but it depends on what online game it is but in online games you can't earn anything, whereas in gambling there is a possibility of winning cash. I guess most of the people who enter gambling is not looking for fun but they are looking forward for the price that they can get.

The same virtual currency you lost is the cash you converted before so it is not compared to the online gambling experience.I don't think online games choose gambling as an diversion because the total logic is different,most of the online games keep unlocks new level but in gambling nothing like that,hit and run process only and most of the games even won't last for minute so how can you get it as an alternate.

Unlike previous days where you buy a game as a whole. Now most of them have microtransactions. I don't see this as a bad thing because it will help the team behind that game to make more and give salary as well to their employees. If you're a true gamer and really love that game you would really spend money to it as a way of support. As a gamer myself I wouldn't hesitate spending if the price is reasonable.

When you can afford to gamble your money online then I think you can invest first to a good computer that can handle the minimum specification of every gambling games that you would play.

Nothing beats the traditional gambling because that's the real one after all and having to play with real people is exciting and so much fun compare on playing online.

I wish I could still spend time with online gaming, but it's not just possible now that I have a lot of priorities in life.
You know when you have your own family, you prioritize work over this kind of pleasure, that's why I prefer online gambling now, although risky.

Possible reason that I think of right now might be one of their reason why they choose gambling in casinos instead of playing online games is that those gamblers can have some fun like online games and they also have a chance to double their money or much more than they have.
Online Games = Having Fun (Can earn money but only Small Amount that you can earn by doing buy and sell in-game items or selling In-game items that you personally obtain in which in-game items can't be obtained easily.)
Casino Games = Having Fun (Can earn more money that you have if you are lucky enough to win huge amount or hit the jackpot.)

This is the typical answer most of the gamblers I asked about this. It is true though since it is really minded wrecking sometimes playing games especially ones with puzzle parts in it. Some also say that you can't earn money from online games while you can in gambling, it is half true since we already have esports and tournaments in it. I think gamblers can play games to pass their time but I don't think that that will be their alternative in gambling since it is hard to shift that quickly from gambling to gaming.

If you will follow the necessary gadgets to have a really great gaming experience would require you a hefty amount of money. While, online gambling like dice would only require you to have net and computer or laptop or smartphone. Not so much hullabaloo involved. But I think it is all about the preferences in life. In what path are you satisfied?
