But, answering the OP's question, I want to say that there are different kinds of people. I, for one, don't like playing video games at all, but enjoy playing poker, dice and some other games like minesweeper, plinko etc. Asking people like me, "Why don't you play video games instead of gambling?" is the same as asking people playing football, why don't they play tennis?

I do not change your post deserve merit anyway more than 5 billion people in the world addicted to gambling and some of them are even going to hospitals for taking medicines. Gambling is not bad just the addiction to it is bad. There is a thing called impulsiveness and when you gamble you have Rapid feeling about playing it again but if you play it just like you play video games you will not be addicted to gambling. That means do not play it as an income source and just enjoy it I want to lose some money just go to a Casino and enjoy the games and do not expect to win.

Its because those people are not the same interest or want when it comes to games, others like to play online games, while others like to play in gambling because they can earn $ in gambling if they won while when it comes to online games more online games you can't win or earn $ on it. Thats why others said the thrill of playing online game is not the same as the thrill on gambling.

There's a big difference on both, it's not about interacting with other people only, there's more than that, the feeling and the excitement of every roll that you did not know if you are going to win or lose, people like to tempt their luck and gambling is the best place to see that.

Because gambling is too far different from online gaming,in gambling we don’t need skills(though sometimes it helps)what we need is luck and what’s can get is MONEY in which very important tools to play also.so in that case I think it’s reasonable to gamble when you want to enjoy and also chance to win right?

While in Online gaming we are only to be entertained and to practice our skills and talent to win each game(but of course some of them now are being used as gambling tools also when they are betting for whom to win the game..and some gives stakes for each players to become a champion so they are basically not the same,but also have some similarities nowadays

because, the fun part is to win money, or to risk money, if we play any game for XP or for the game points isn't fun at all because those points doesn't have a real value, so the gambler feels like he is getting to nowhere with those points. But gambling make us feel the rush on each win and lose.

Many people are engage also in games because it is cool for them and there are also people who wants gambling. In my own perspective, it is upon to the person who will decide his fun or pass time. You can play online or outdoor games and you can gamble your money. As long as you are fun then you can do whatever you want.
