Indeed, your first point is very true. Investing in BTC should be our first priority like if we have a good amount in our portfolio for investment in cryptocurrency we should invest 90% of our portfolio in Bitcoin and the remaining amount we should invest in Altcoins. The key of investing in altcoins is that we should diversify of remaining 10% portfolio into different altcoins so that we can overcome our risk.

In the crypto Industry, risk management is the key to securing our funds. Here is why I said we should invest in different altcoins because if one is not performing well another will perform well and one more thing investing in altcoins needs Good research which includes TA,FA, and the use case of the project you are going to invest. That's right and some people wanted to buy it at a lower price from those people who get their altcoins from bounty rewards and there are lots of people who make lots of money from that as well especially those who sold their altcoins after it reached its ATH in the crypto market. I once had some altcoins that I got from Bounty and I was approached by someone to buy them from me I was just new so I accepted his offer but of course with the middleman, and after a few months, I saw the price has increased for about 10x he bought it from me. Surely there are lots of opportunities to make money from altcoins but you just need proper knowledge on where or what you will buy in order to be successful investors like them.

You're right. People choose altcoins because they know altcoins have bigger volatility than Bitcoin. Altcoins also can increase the prices significantly in a short time due to many factors, it doesn't only depends on the halving or bullrun season hype. altcoin they pump so much I'm also very impressed with it sometimes so I mostly invest in it because it's one thing we get more of what we have. If we have a few dollars, we accept it more, that's why we can benefit more, and also the most important reason is that it's a very fast journey. Determines that means if it starts in one day, it gets pumped in a very strong way, then it gives us a lot of benefit.

For beginners in crypto world, their only goal is to gain much profit from investing a little. As a conclusion for your question why people are interested in altcoins, I would say the main reason why is money and profit, then other things comes out for transactions or gaming, shopping and many other features a token or coin can have and make a user interested in buying it.
In your case you want to invest just a little and gain much more than investing in bitcoin as a les volatile cryptocurrency, I believe it’s the same thing for every. Their interest on altcoins in about making money from smaller capitals, and I wouldn’t say it’s a bad thing unless you have to chose a trusted and legitimate project to creat their token and you invest in it with confidence.

especially true with a lot of us that has small amount of capital, i mean lets be real here, if we only have $10k or less, investing in bitcoin might not be impactful for us also ethereum might not necessarily fill our desire of getting some good gain within short amount of time so there's no other way but altcoin if we truly want to get some good gains after all most of altcoin still have low market capitalization and the price of the coin itself only costs peanut.
basically it suited for many of us that are not whale and yet want to make some good profit also.

What I have to say in this is that many people think that altcoin investment is only investment that can be overprofitable in terms of Bitcoin and other sub cryptocurrency so I believe that one they have a mind is really nice and also good because bitcoin does not grow or increase the way altcoin grow so that is why people prefer hot coin investment because the percentage of increment is a higher than the percentage of Bitcoin increment

And again you can invest with lower amount of money when you are investing in altcoin and when the market Rises you can make multiple of profit for an investment so I believe that that is why many people like to invest in hot coin more than Bitcoin is not that hot going to have a potential more than Bitcoin but the potentials in Bitcoin is greater than the one in altcoin
