well even the shittiest coin sometime might have pump, i guess thats just how it is with these coins in general, some of them might be some empty project but still gonna get some volume if recognized enough by some random people, but we must know that such liquidity is shallow, could definitely gone within few weeks. therefore its not recommended to invest in some shitcoin.altcoin in general are indeed giving more profit than bitcoin or ethereum even though ethereum itself is altcoin but we are talking about smaller capital coin here and the reason is because their volume and market cap is still relatively low that they are easy enough for some whales to pump, i've seen various pump at this bullish season alone.

Yeah, even how risky it is there are always people who will love taking that risk, and when luck come and back them up profits will take place, we can't remove that fact that there are many investors who still loves playing with alts and they are interested with profits that this venue will provide for them. They believe altcoin can be pumped anytime. And most time it comes with a very surprising pump where it may go ×100 within few minutes.
👉👉 Ability to buy much coin with little dollar
You can get thousands of some altcoin with little dollar you have.
But for me, what prompt me most time to buy altcoin is the expected pump.
Probably because of the diversity of the altcoins I guess. 
the diversity can be a factor but definitely not that big of a factor its mainly because it suited for smaller capital to starts out and to get quite good profit so that they can later can invest in something like bitcoin.arguably, the volatility is also the thing that many people favor since they can be getting some good profit out of it. by just simply taking advantage of the volatility.

the fact that the investment risky which equats to more volatility only means more opportunity for some people, you know if the market is stagnating people are making less and less profit but with volatility they will have more chance but of course at the end of the day there's no guarantee that they would instead always kept profitting off the volatility, maybe are the one who lose who knows.but the point being with these altcoin in general is that they are volatile and usually priced so low its more interesting for many people compared with major coins.
