I think there are several reasons people are unhappy, especially as life happens to us differently. Some people are happy due to their inadequacies, some because of some material possessions they're yet to get, some are unhappy with some features in their body, they wished it was better, then some people are unhappy because of the success of other people.
there are several reasons why people are not happy and I think one of the reason is that they are not contented with their lives and maybe they are full of knowledge and wisdom in which they don't even know how to be happy. if you read the story "The Good Brahmin" by Francois Voltaire you will see that if people are ignorant of their surrounding they are happier because they couldn't care less. And if you look at the rich and educated guy he was overly-stressed because of his surroundings. The narrator, therefore, concludes that is it even possible to be happy if you have more knowledge or if you stay ignorant.Life is full of unpleasant things that will teach you a lesson and helps you grow up.
it is difficult to analyse why people are unhappy even though they have anything in their life.various resons are there, It depends on the individual. I believe most all people want always to be happy in their life, whatever their conditions. In other hands, happiness is the goal of human being. However, in some conditions they may feel unhappy for some reasons or even there is no caused for being unhappy. For me, being happy is not complicated, just be calm and enjoy the life. Always thankful for what God gives to us. Do not see other, concerning to what we have. Even the richest people on earth are not happy simply because people are not contented with what they have. Happiness cannot be found in the luxury cars and cozy home, neither in the millions of dollars and jewelries, nor fame and power if you are surrounded with fake people. One can have true happiness by being contented with simple things, like a not so expensive houses and less material things. Having a pure heart without hatred, unselfish acts and a clean concience are enough to make someone happy inside and will eventually show in the outside. Those are things that money cant buy.

Maybe because they are looking for other things that make them happy, maybe they are still on the process of searching. Many people says that there are a lot of things that makes a person happy. However, each people may have different ways to be happy.
Modern people are unhappy because they cannot experience completion. No one knows if they have reached their destination or if that end-point is years ahead.

Each person has it's own reasons why they aren't happy. Some people are not contented on the things that they have. Problems at home, money, relationships. And some people suffering depression. Modern people are unhappy then because they cannot experience completion. Always there are new – and higher – standards to meet.
Inevitably, there is “unfinished business.” Everyone is urged to move forward, but no one knows if they have already reached their destination or if that end-point is years ahead.
Some people are unhappy because there are many problems they face everyday.They encounters so many difficulties in life some of people who are unhappy is the most funny person but his/her inside there is someone whos stuck on the darknest and needed a help.
Cause they can't appreciate what they have..
It's because they were not contented with things they have. They want this , they got this and they want more. It's a simple rule.

There are many factors why people are unhappy or sad,
Maybe he has experiencing failure, debts, being bullied or trauma.
But if a person is always unhappy. It can be a depression.

Because we people are not satisfied and contented on what we have in life.
People are unhappy because they still don't get the things that makes them happy. We can't but true happiness it is deep within us.
When they run out of things to say, they'll turn to other people's lives and gossip. Happy people live in the now and dream about the future. You can feel their positive vibe from across the room. Practicing positive habits daily is what sets happy people apart from unhappy people, people might not be happy because they are not doing everything perfectly.
They can't accept of what they have because of not contented.
For me some of people are unhappy because of they can't achieve what they whant in his life. And we all know the nature of human is not contented in what they have. Thats why more people are unhappy.
