Parenting is really one of the best ways to give awareness to the child so that they will not get exposed to gambling activities at an early age, which lead to addiction and doing bad things. But not all parents are like that; others are too busy with work, and others can't guide their child well, which for sure would be the fault of parents. That is why we should give time to our children, tell them what is good and bad, so that they are aware of it, and keep an eye on them.

Although some kids do get a good parenting background, but sometimes they get tangled with friends influences. They can have a different lifestyle outside, and when they go back home, they pretend to be good kids. But it depends on kids and their decisions; anyone who decides to be responsible will heed what their parents teach them. Although what you say is also true, some parents are mostly concerned with their job and forget the family responsible, which is mostly concerned with raising the children in a way they should grow. Again, gambling addiction can start at any age; it doesn't matter whether one starts their gambling activity at a very young age or not; once someone just decides to lose self-control over doing something, it becomes an addiction, which can lead to other problems for the person.
I agree with this because bad company can still corrupt good manner so no matter how trained the child is from home he/she can still get influnceed by per pressure and this is a face we have all oass through in life but then we must have to train our kids to the level that, they will be able to make decisions on their own and stand on it instead getting easily carried away by friends or per pressures.

We are aware that some gambling addictions started from the young age, and jids that are exposed to gambling at early age may struggle with addiction later in the life since when their were introduced to gambling their are not mature enough to make good decisions.

they have no control, they are looking for it is just a game, you cannot leave a responsibility for gambling when you risk real money, things are clear here when they are fulfilled 18 years is the normal age for anyone to be able to do what they want, because everything is under a total responsibility scheme, and what happens from then on and that they do wrong can even be punished by jail, so it is better to do things well so that there are no problems, that's why children should have their games away from casinos.

But quite unfortunately,  some underage is still engaged in gambling and this has really stirred up some discussions in many quarters and this has even led to the banned I gambling in many countries around the world all winning attempt to kill underage gambling.

But the government efforts have not yielded any positive results and also the need to good parenting of the child is very important.
Ban would really be their last resort if they do saw that gambling addiction and severe involvement of young age would really be that rampant on which the government wouldnt really be having no choice but to do

such act because we know that it is something that wouldnt really be that good and this is why these bans and prohibitions would really be their main solution to that but its true that it wont really be completely

be able to resolved out the problem as this would really be making them on finding on other methods or ways for them to play gambling despite of  such prohibition. In todays tech and accessibility then it would really be that understandable that there would really be still some numbers who would really be able to bypass out these kind of bans or something that would really be stopping them for them to play gambling.
This doesnt really make an exemption whether you are young or old, it would really be still the same if we do talk about chances of getting addicted to it.

As for me I think the parents owe the children nothing to explain to them as long as they never let the vacuum of their responsibilities in training the children remain void, when your children never have access to gambling or where they do such then you owe them no explanation, parents have their own part they play from their children way of upbringings, they must not engage doing things that we will not be aware of which may affect them in life the wrong way.
Parenting comes with a lot of work and educating the child on the danger of some action goes a long way to saving the child in the future when they are no longer with their parents, and it doesn't necessarily need that the child is exposed to it before you give them the awareness on the dangers available in the society and how to handle them.
I use my personal experience to check this thing, when I was young, my parents use to tell me real-life stories and sometimes we had both the good the bad and the ugly so those lessons thought us how to handle some in our real life.
Gambling lessons should be thought to young kids so that that knowledge will help to guide their actions when they grow up.

We need to safe ourselves from future challenges by avoiding our children get exposed to gambling right from onset, children are not yet responsible for their school fees payment, neither do they have other responsibilities attached to them to take care of which need financial aid, their time is needed to be invested on their education and learn about other careers in life than getting too exposed to gambling at their early stage.
I agree with you on the need for education and growth in the kids before any adulthood exposure because gambling is for responsible adults who knows how to make a decision and take responsibility for those decisions,  kids need to build their basic foundation and avoid any possible distraction because gambling to an underaged is an abused and this can lead to uncontrollable addictions.

But if a child has grown to some level and can handle the responsibility,  and that is why regulators always specify an age limit of 18🚫  years.
A child should not be near games of chance and casinos, because they have no control, they are looking for it is just a game, you cannot leave a responsibility for gambling when you risk real money, things are clear here, when they are fulfilled 18 years is the normal age for anyone to be able to do what they want, because everything is under a total responsibility scheme, and what happens from then on and that they do wrong can even be punished by jail, so it is better to do things well so that there are no problems, that's why children should have their own games away from casinos.

I still don't believe in the "entertainment" aspect. There's so many things you can do that is truly entertaining for what is much less of the cost. To an extent you can have occasional fun with gambling, but if it's often, it's beyond entertainment.
Maybe it's better to say gamble for fun only? Let's take it this way since I don't know the definition of entertainment. I am quoting you because I also posted that people should take gambling as entertainment in this thread. Let's say gambling is for fun. But when it comes to spending real money, and you are addicted to the "Fun," you have to stop there because you don't know how much you will lose until you end up busted.

Well, addiction to the fun is kind of the point in me not believing in it being for fun. At what point does it stop being fun? And do you think that people stop when it stops being fun, or until their wallet is empty? I think more often than not, it's the latter.

Gambling stops being fun when it begins to negatively affect a gambler's life, health or relationships.Financial resources can also become a negative factor. I think it can be useful to do some introspection for yourself and determine how important gambling is to your happiness and how well it aligns with your values.
Gambling is just a fun activity, and it will remain a fun activity, and like drugs and alcohol, those who abuse gambling will become addicted and suffer the consequences.

One thing I've always believe in is that, no body is destined to be a gambler, and there is no way I expect gambling to align with out values, even a the value of the poorest man should be way higher than gambling, gambling is always a side hustle and shouldnt be depended on as a major means of livelihood.

It’s bit much to say that those are real allegations. I think what we need to understand is gambling and how it’s connected with people. Most of the people are here by choices. Some of them love gambling because they are real with it, they sometimes make it their job, a way to income source and much more. While some of them are just playing for fun and there is no real deal with such people. They won’t care if they are profiting or not. They neither look for recovering their losses and much more. While on the other hand there comes people that you describe who are getting on the wrong foot all the time. I think they are none of the above. They are chaser and gambling isn’t about it.
Those who chase their losses are actually the ones who take gambling as their job because they can't afford to lose any money from their bankroll which makes them chase their losses when they incur, even if they lose everything they have in that pursuit, they don't understand it until it's all done and dusted, that is why everyone suggests that gambling shouldn't be taken seriously and used as a way to earn an income.

Those who take gambling as a source of entertainment and gamble only to have some fun usually stay calm and collected even when they lose some bets, they don't chase their losses because that isn't what they are gambling for, they are doing it only to have some good time which they can have even if they lose some.
Gambling isn't bad since it gives entertainment and it's our own choice. It just becomes bad when a person can't control his desire to gambling. They become too addicted to it, and since it requires some money, they do a lot of things so they can gamble because that's what entertains them. It's a common effect to a lot of gamblers that's why gambling becomes a negative image. Another effect of it is those gamblers who wants to get back what they've lost and think that they can get it back by gambling more.

We all have our own reasons why we gamble, others just becomes too attached to it that they can't stop themselves from gambling.

It's like a gradient in which it's hard to see the place where white flows into black.
White: "I'll just play with this bonus money." A person plays and bets on 1 in a game where you need to guess a number out of 35, and when the deposit increases 35 times. And even if the deposit of this bonus money was for example $ 10, now the person has $ 350! And then he starts thinking - what if I bet $1,000. What then? I will win money and fulfill my dream. He bets them and loses. The ball does not fall on the number on which he put it, but on the date of birth of this person. "Damn," he thinks. "I felt that it was necessary to put on my birthday."
And puts it again.
And again.
And here he is in a big loss.

So we came to the "Black" color...
At what point did things get out of control?

Gambling is supposed to be for fun/entertainment purposes. Casinos and others also say do not gamble if you cannot afford to lose. So, whoever agrees that they can lose to have fun, they are invited to gamble. But, if you cannot afford to lose, do not gamble. That's it. If someone gambles and wants to make money from it and keeps playing until their wallet gets empty, they are addicted and need some serious treatment.

Quote
I suppose that is a fair point. As someone who doesn't spend money on things like skins, I suppose if it is for an advantage, then I guess it's somewhat justified. I don't think games should be like that for the sake of fairness, but they have a business to run Smiley my opinion here isn't as hasty as it is toward the topic of gambling for fun vs gambling because of being allured or addicted.
I also think it's unfair to give some advantage who spend money on buying weapon skins. But, as you said, companies have to do business. Now everyone want to advantage of those gun skins and they spend more money on it. The company making money from the players.

Children are not worthy for gambling. Children will develop their knowledge during this time when they will learn about various things. But if children are addicted to gambling during this period they will not develop as they need to their normal life. Parents have to be responsible enough towards a child otherwise parents cannot have a proper idea about whether the child is growing properly or not. Children may make mistakes during this period but parents should be careful. This period is very important for determining life goals for a children.
But as children has access in internet nowadays and gambling gets to younger now because recently there is a teenager that commit suicide just because of gambling and this is sadden .
hope that government and parents together with gambling operator/owner will act on this.

I also don't believe in spending money pointless crap like skins in games and in game purchased, so maybe my view is old fashioned.
Well, I have tried some battle royal games. Also, I wouldn't say I like purchasing game skins just to show off. But I played a battle royale game named free fire by garena. The weapon skins have attributes like double damage, double rate of fire etc. So, sometimes I've purchased those skins to take advantage.

However, in order to protect themselves, their children and their families in general from the possible dependence of any of the family members on gambling such an addiction, which should already be considered as a mental illness, parents need to be very careful and monitor from an early age what reactions the games cause (  first the usual children's games) in the child.  Especially in the case when the child lost in this game.  And parents need to watch how much the child is eager to continue playing in order to win.  Knowing in advance that a child, even at a young age, has such character traits as a violent reaction to a loss, it is already possible, as he grows up, to somehow reduce the significance of such events in conversations and help the child understand that this is nonsense.  Thus, I think parents can help in the future to avoid problems with children's gambling.

However, for this, the parents themselves must be smart and enlightened people in this matter.     This happens unfortunately not always.

Those who take gambling as a source of entertainment and gamble only to have some fun usually stay calm and collected even when they lose some bets, they don't chase their losses because that isn't what they are gambling for, they are doing it only to have some good time which they can have even if they lose some.

People gamble because it has entered their blood so they can stay without gambling. The same time, there are some houses that gamblers use gambling to food the family and live comfortably. It is not all the parents hate gambling. One thing I know is that the way the gambler behave in the family and society also contribute to his distain in the family and the society at large. If he is a gentle gambler with problem with anyone then he has nothing to worry.

I think these types of people are at high risk of risking their lives in my opinion. Imagine someone uses gambling to feed their family, and you said not only one person but people are using gambling to feed their family. That means not only food when we talk about these kinds of things, but everything the family needs they use gambling as a source of income to meet their needs. However, I think this is a bad habit. If you are sure that they are people doing this seriously, it's bad in my opinion. However, you see, these things are predictions, and I believe using gambling to feed their family is a way of being addicted to gamble.

However, I believe that those who engage in this type of activity should sit down and consider alternative sources of income because gambling does not always bring in money like other side jobs do. In my opinion, you lose money more often than you make it, so I fear for those who engage in this types of practice that there will come a time when they cannot win their tickets and may need to conceal something very significant. I also wonder how they will handle some of their situations if they use these only gambling to feed their people at home.
The unsettling act of using gambling to feed a family underscores the extremities some endure. The uncertainty in gambling could lead to financial ruin when relied upon as a mainstay for sustenance.

Regrettably, the house prevails in the long run, tilting the odds away from the gambler. When gambling is the only income source, it instigates a harmful cycle of increased gambling to counterbalance losses.

This dependence uncovers a systemic flaw that begs attention. Rather than leaning on such treacherous options, we need robust social welfare programs offering job placements, cost-effective housing, and food stability for the disadvantaged.

They would only start to realize things when they are already on a hard situation on which they would eventually be losing tons of money instead of earning. On the time that they would be suffering such wreckage

when it comes to finances then this is where mostly realization would kick in.Human beings are stubborn on which if they do really have that kind of idea on which they do really believe that they could really make out some advantage about on something and trying out to believe that they could make a living with it, then they would surely try and would be forcing for it to work but once reality would slap into your face
then this is where or the time that you would really be regretting.

Gambling is for leisure and entertainment and shouldn't really be treated as a source of income. These are two different things which using up on your common sense will tell you on what action would really be wise on doing so.
