I prefer bitcoin over Fiat because the price of the bitcoin could increase over time and it is so volatile ,
I just think that my money would gain profit by just holding it.

People prefers bitcoin over fiat because of it's increasing price, people who bought at lower price few months ago will have made appreciative profit now unlike fiat saved in a bank will have a small interest accrued to it, bitcoin is a very volatile cryptocurrency it has a tendency to increase it's rate within a shortest period of time.
I think some people prefer Bitcoin because of it's anonymity, whatever their purpose for purchasing bitcoin or whatever they will do with it, it's up to them. The thing is that it's the owners purpose on what you are going to do with it I just hope it's not illegal or something because that's what gives people to say that Bitcoin is bad.
If everyone knows about Bitcoin then everyone will prefer to use Bitcoin over fiat to make payment because everyone in Bitcoin knows that we can make any amount of Bitcoin money payment without limit.

i think because they see the good characteristic or the good side of bitcoin. many people prefer to use it because they know that in bitcoin they will easily use it in terms of digital currency and the fees are low. the value is also easily increase unlike in other currency or in fiat it is slowly to move if you save it in the bank.
Bitcoin, compared to fiat or paper money is highly volatile, the price can drop down and decrease and it can also spike up an increase in just a matter of minutes. I don't think it is right to say that people prefer bitcoin over fiat because they are earning though bitcoin and converting it to fiat for them to use.
yes it's those who are online enterprenurs they like bitcoin very much because they use online currency for buy and sale and that's why they prefer bitcoin instead of fiat money. therefor if we say that bitcoin is very popular as compared to fiat most of the people are doing online businesses and they want to pay and accept in digital currency. in the present time period there are many people and businessman who trust on bitcoin very much.
I think that you are not seeing the bigger picture here. You think that bitcoin is popular just because you are in this forum. This is what you see and maybe your friends are also using bitcoin. But at the end of the day, there are millions of Amazon users, eBay users, and all the other famous online shopping sites out there and they all use Paypal. Paypal is still the leading payment method and people have already become confident using it. Bitcoin is a little too advanced for the mainstream people today.
As people, we have our own needs and wants. Some people need/want bitcoin because the things that he/she wants to buy can be found on this forum but there are also people that needs Paypal and they are a lot more compared to bitcoin users.

Bitcoin is being used widely in porn sites, gambling and drug dealing sectors. Is that why the btc made for ? I have seen a lot of members in this forum discussing about buying drugs, gambling and enjoying porn with bitcoin. Is not it a misuse of a currency ? Block chain tech is a awesome tech and btc is getting popular. I hate these misuses of precious btc. It hurts me. This will lead into unhealthy society along with unhealthy future generation.
As per my own opinion bitcoin is not invented for porn sites, gambling or other bad uses like buying drugs and etc. Bitcoin for me was being invented because of our generation which is technologically modern.

There are several reasons as to why people prefer using bitcoins than fiat currencies, I would say that those of who knows about the crypto market and bitcoins will be interested in bitcoins and block chain technology rather than using fiat currencies, there are many factors which attract people to this cryptographic system such as highly secure than fiat currencies, ease of transaction than traditional banking system and highly economic in terms of cost of transactions worldwide. All the transactions is recorded in the public ledger, blockchain and everyone can keep track of all the bitcoin transactions in the blockchain technology. You have the point but I guess if a person is really a wise investor and handling his/her money, then that person will going to use both bitcoin and fiat money. The reason is that, I really don't want to use bitcoin to buy for simple things and cheap ones because the bitcoin transaction fees is quite high for that - it is rather fitting to pay for fiat money to small things like these and use bitcoin for sound investment.

Obviously because BTC has always shown promise to have some crazy gains over the time and it is still going strong everyday. A clever trader will always make right moves to get out with profit each time.
Some people afraid abput currency that they use if the war happen, so some of them convert their real money into bitcoin because bitcoin is susch as safe haven, so if the war happen then they go outside the country, they will be still rich.
not really that reason, because even they didnt do convert their money into bitcoin they still rich after all, their bank account links to all banks world wide so they can also use that to get their money back, i think the reason is, to use bitcoin is more convenient over fiat because its not just to carry bitcoin but you also carry a investment on this, they can carry huge amount of bitcoin while waiting on its own profits. double purposes.
That is really exactly my point - bitcoin can be best use both for day to day payments (like with the fiat) but it can also use as investment. With this, why not we can just use bitcoin for investment and fiat money for day to day payments? If we use bitcoin there are some fees that you could get away that much with fiat money.
